Look at the lineup image for that festival, especially the bottom right corner. Metal bands need to sack that one guy who designs all the logos.
-
His stuff about shutting up and being a good employee would be slightly less unbearable if I thought for a second that he didn't believe every word of it.

So the electromagnetic energy moved them into a huge wheel formation, or something that looked like one? That's, like, the coolest scientific debunking ever!

Yeah, Menry should be bubble-wrapped every time he's off-camera. But whether they start keeping everyone safe or not, house show cards could end up getting pretty thin. No Cena, no Menry, Punk falling apart at the joints to the point where he should really only be doing big tags, you're gonna end up with Orton and Bryan wrestling a lot of singles main events, and you risk blowing your big angle if one of them gets injured. They're pretty stuck.
Â
EDIT: Although I guess with the Shield enjoying a bit of a resurgence and the Wyatts keeping people's interest for now, I guess there's room for big tags as house show main events. If you've got the Shield vs Bryan, Big Show and Punk on last as a guaranteed fun main event, then the Wyatts vs three guys who can bump around for them (fuck it, bring up Neville, Zayn and Dallas or someone), you can have Orton do something else, then decent mid-card singles matches with slightly less interesting guys who are proven workers, like Kofi, Ziggler, Christian and Axel.

I have nothing of value to contribute here, but I just wanna say this stuff is all great fun to read about. I wasn't into anything like this before this thread but the enthusiasm here has really hooked me.

We've got Survivor Series to come and heat with the Shield, on top of the obvious Wyatt + Kane feud. There's plenty to keep Bryan simmering under for now. I just hope they have the balls to run with it through to Wrestlemania. Could be massive if they pull it off, and they have been so far.

Jesus, that looks tremendous! ICW have got something special going on.
Â
Pitcos, Grado in Cov was the same night as Summerslam. Tagging with Adam Shame vs the Henchmen, no less. And yes, you missed out bigtime. It's the second time he's been down for TXW though so I imagine he'll be back. They have a carful of the Scottish guys every so often.
Â
Speaking of a) brilliant things and b) the Henchmen, you'll all be delighted to know that the TEN MINUTE
is out. -
Everybody's pretty perfectly placed for this, really. Orton was stale as fuck as a babyface and a turn was the only way to make his MITB cash-in interesting, and suddenly he seems to be right back in that zone where he was punting the McMahons about in 2009. Big Show coming back as a face who's been fired for stepping out of line once before means he was perfect for the stuff last week and this. The Vince-HHH conflict was starting to get really tedious and was making Maddox's character really confusing, whereas now they're all clear-cut characters with obvious, believable motivations and are mostly doing great stuff every time they're on screen. And of course, Daniel Bryan's the most over guy in the company, having great matches all over the place, and with a proven track record RE captivating title chases (and if he can do it against the company's other biggest babyface, he can sure as hell make a go of it against the new red-hot top heel). Shit, this angle's even making Christian not look like a complete dork. It's holding the show together and everyone's benefiting.

Woy in "writing really well about something he's interested in" shocker.

Heck of an episode, I thought. I don't think there was one out-and-out bad full segment on that whole show. While I would've liked Bryan to get a bit more time with Rollins and Ambrose from a selfish perspective, the match was never about that and served its purpose perfectly. As much as I get bored of heel Triple H, I totally buy the new corporation. Helps a great deal that Orton and Bryan were both absolutely fantastic every time they were on screen. Big Show was fantastic too, looked like his heart was breaking. Like Butch said, I'm already pumped as fuck for the inevitable Show/Menry/Bryan vs Shield match when him and Menry snap.
Â
Also: HHH coming out to one theme then having the Escalade come out to the other was fantastic. And Christian's sick burn on Orton was the coolest thing he's done in forever. Great Raw. Big stuff and small stuff hitting the mark all round.

Bank holiday chat, fuckers?

I can't believe what I'm reading. Although I'm not at all shocked that the Tories' current attitude to benefits and sanctions have produced some fucking jumped up authoritarian jobsworth cunts like that. What a fucking dreadful human being.

Haven't listened to the Grado AOW yet, but definitely will. He's hysterical in the ring and in videos and I bet he's great on this.
Â
Anyone who's just been turned onto Grado, check out
. Then watch, which doesn't feature Grado but is also great. -
That's a good point actually. Absolutely everywhere sells their bottles, even the bargain booze round the corner, but thinking about it I can't ever recall seeing it on tap (I'm from the Midlands)
Â
As of a few years ago, it's exclusive to our own pubs. I always moan about it, but they have a bunch of sound business reasons for it.
-
I just wish you could get Badger in pubs as readily as you can in supermarkets. I think the northernmost H&W pub is in Hertfordshire
-
In the warmer months my favourites are, sorry Butch, mass-bottled and readily available - Badger's range - Long Days, Golden Champion and especially the peachy sweetness of Golden Glory
Â
Good lad! By virtue of my lineage, I own shares in Hall & Woodhouse who brew Badger. As do my dad and sister. Our garage is usually packed with Badger stuff, we load up the car when we go down for the AGM. I do like Golden Glory in the summer, and Poacher's Choice and Blandford Flyer (the ginger one, slightly gimmicky but absolutely gorgeous) are lovely in the winter.
Â
I'm fairly certain we've discontinued Long Days now, sadly. We've done a couple of great special edition ales named after mythical creatures from Dorset lately, including a really good 7.5% porter called the Roaming Roy Dog.

Probably "time" if he likes Rancid.

There was a guy on my bus the other day with a tattoo of Scooby Doo going down on a woman with a dog's head.

I'll guess he sent willy pics to Kookoocachu, am I right?

So... yes?

Booker also had a theme he rapped himself for a bit, possibly on that WWE Originals album. But it didn't last long. And it doesn't detract from the fact that there are people born four years after he started using that music who can legally have children.

I've just seen the worst finish ever. A 1992 episode of Prime Time. El Matador vs Damien Demento. Demento gets disqualified by Bill Alfonso for holding Santana's tights during a pin.
Â
So bad they reused it in 2008 in a Chris Jericho vs Kofi Kingston match on Raw!
-
Called Christopher Eccleston "Peter Eccleston".
-
I'll forgive Hound because his explanation of why the show is great was pretty fantastic.

I'm as happy as I could be given that it's a white man. Can't wait to see him in action. Moffat being asked for a 3-word description and saying "different from Matt" is all the endorsement I need. Smith was different from Tennant and it was exactly what was needed. I've been terrified that when Smith, MY Doctor, left, the show would stop being what I loved, but now I'm actually looking forward to the change. Maybe because, when push comes to shove, I know I can learn to love it in a whole new way. Bring on the Capaldi era.

You get tribal fingers-in-the-ears attitudes like that everywhere, though. Just look at Sheffield United fans' "Justice for Ched" campaign.
