I cancelled WWE Network and signed up for US Peacock Premium when it was 20 US Dollars for the year. They also have every episode of Saturday Night Live and most live Premier League games in HD. Paying for it was a bit of a pain (using a US Unlocked virtual credit card). Also either need to use a US DNS address or a decent VPN but it’s saved me a few quid over a year.

Marina Purkiss is sound. Kath is an idiot who like so many other people out there, treats politics like football.

Back to where we started pre 2017 then. I’ve worked with several contractors over the years who were blatantly fiddling their taxes and paying an accountant to help them.

Twitter is better than Facebook. Less people pretending to be happy and chances are, you won’t know as many people on there finding out your business. I took a break from Facebook starting three weeks ago as I suspect it has played a part in harming my mental health. Besides missing out on local news, I don’t miss it at all so far. Not sorry I left before the Queen died either. I’d have unfollowed even more Royalists uploading annoying memes I’m sure.

Americans grieving over a British Monarch dying seems strange to me when you consider they pride themselves on being a Republic since fighting a war of independence against Britain. 

Regarding Andrew Yang, I believe he left the Democrats to launch his own party (the Forward Party - a centrist leaning party) last year. Think there’s talk of him running for President (good luck with that). My guess is now that Yang has left, there’s now nobody in the current US Government who cares enough about professional wrestling to want to moderate it in any way.

WWE have had their faults too (lots of them) but if a lot of what’s been going on lately in AEW is a shoot, then it’s a case of Tony Khan being a mark for certain members of his talent roster and allowing the inmates to run the asylum. He’s losing control from what I can see. He needs to lay down the law, stop trying to be one of the boys and punish bellend behaviour (which he probably won’t when it’s someone like Punk). Not to mention that there are too many people on the talent roster with not enough TV time for everyone. It’s a mess. Don’t get me wrong, I want AEW to succeed. I want them to be better and to turn things around but I’m yet to see signs of improvement.

What a dumpster fire this promotion has turned out to be. No wonder Cody left.

Several people on my Facebook friends list kept talking about going to see them. One of them was complaining about the train strike and not being able to get home as originally planned.  I resisted the urge to comment with the words “serves you right”.

Dailymotion seem to have a lot of episodes. They mainly seem to be uploads from VHS though so they’re not great quality. There are a few episodes on YouTube as well.

You can get Uber in towns now too. There’s just far less chance of one actually turning up.

I decided to start watching Neighbours again for the final few weeks. Must admit, I’ve been enjoying it. I’m liking all of the returns of characters from the 80s and 90s from when I regularly watched it.

I paid £50 on Amazon for some Sony WF-XB700 Bluetooth earbuds for the gym. Had them for months and they still haven’t shown any sweat damage. They’ve been superb.

Must admit, I did find that chapter dedicated to Melina in one of Foley’s books to be a little odd. I mean, yes she was a talented performer but he seemed a little bit too fond of her.

A friend of mine was banned from Twitter for calling Esther McVey a cunt. McVey is his local MP (Tatton - generally a rich part of Cheshire). The only time I recall anyone other than a Tory MP being elected there was when Martin Bell was elected as an Independent after Neil Hamilton took cash for questions in Parliament.
