1 - Renationalise the rails, gas and electricity. Something is seriously wrong when it costs more to travel by rail than it does by plane.
2 - Abolish the Monarchy and Britain becomes a Republic. The Monarchy is an archaic and unfair system and thereās no way it should have a place in modern society. Unlikely I know.
3 - Fund and manage the NHS and the entire public sector better. The organisations often have too many managers and not enough staff doing the actual work. I know this first hand because Iāve worked in the public sector for over twenty years.
4 - Rejoin the EU customs union. The country voted to leave the EU and I accept that. If we were still in the EU Customs Union, perhaps importing and exporting goods would be a lot easier and cheaper.
5 - Put a price cap on live sports and entertainment ticket prices and ban ticket scalping above face value. So many people are taking the piss with ticket prices these days.

400! Even worse!
I stand corrected (itās been a rough time lately). Yes, far worse.

50 photos of Simon Le Bon? Crazy stalker vibes.

I completely understand their fans not wanting to win it, but the most Spurs thing ever would be to win that game
I agree. Spurs have a history of being one of Man Cityās bogey teams. Spurs away is definitely Cityās toughest remaining league fixture this season.

Nunez looks clumsy AF and a liability a lot of the time yet still occasionally contributes important goals and looks like a decent player when heās in the mood. Unfortunately for Liverpool, it was the former last night.

I really donāt think that wrestling wouldāve been what it was, at least internationally without Vince McMahon. Other promotions have tried but havenāt had the same level of popularity as WWE. Even when WCW was Americaās number one promotion for those 83 weeks, they were still seen as very much a US based wrestling promotion with limited TV deals and touring outside the USA. WWE toured more often internationally and generally had the better overseas TV deals, even when they were struggling financially in the 90s. So no, I donāt think anyone else wouldāve made wrestling what it was if Vince hadnāt.

Iāve not always been Owen Jonesā biggest fan either but he did raise some very good points in this X post (he needs better closed captions though).
Iām expecting Labour to win convincingly at the next election but Iām just not excited about it. Sure, itāll be great to see more Tory wipeout on election night (hopefully) but for what exactly? To hand power over to a party whoāve decided to do the same things? Pro Brexit, anti-nationalisation, pro austerity and pro privatisation? Itās bloody depressing.

Boy he is really going after THAT vote isn't he?
Good God. How petty. Iāve actually ordered one. Itās the first footy shirt Iāve bought since around 2010 and itās a fake Chinese replica at a fraction of the price but I actually think itās a very good shirt.
Noticed Owen Jones has withdrawn his Labour Party membership. The reasons he gave (basically carrying on with the same Tory policies) were valid in fairness.

I watch WWE PLEs (never live if theyāre in the States) and the occasional AEW PPV. I havenāt got the enthusiasm for modern wrestling to be watching all of the weekly TV shows from either company. Iāll watch an occasional episode now and again if something major happens but thatās about it.

Lex Luger was (kind of) part of the Wrestlemania 10 main event in ā94 and dropped down to the opening match the following year teaming with Davey Boy Smith to face the Harris Twins.

Recently read the Wrestling by Simon Garfield. It was a revised edition as the original mustāve been written during the mid nineties. The British wrestling industry was on its arse when the original book was released (still reeling from wrestling being axed from ITV). Wasnāt a bad book and I managed to learn a few things that I didnāt already know. Not sure I could recommend anyone to go out of their way to get a copy though.

EDIT: Ignore me. I didn't read the dates.Ā
I remembering being at that TNA show where Hogan wrestled his last match. Bully Ray had his Liverpool shirt on and was ripping on United to try and get some cheap heat and it backfired spectacularly.Ā
I was also there. Not sure if that was intentionally Hoganās last match Ā but seeing as Manchester was perhaps TNAās biggest show of the year in terms of gates (I would guess given the capacity), then maybe it was.

Iāve heard the term ādynamic pricingā being used where the price becomes higher the more demand there is. Iād rather use the term āfleecingā.

Not sure if youād class this as rock (maybe more grunge) but has anyone seen the ticket prices for Pearl Jam with support from Richard Ashcroft? Theyāre playing at Tottenhamās Stadium in London and Co-op Live in Manchester. The prices are disgusting. I get that bands donāt make the money off CD sales anymore but from the band who fought Ticketmaster for fleecing fans back in the 90s, itās very disappointing. Itās a hard pass from me.

Ā People might have stuff going on in their lives, health issues, personal issues, divorces, whatever. Ā If I'm being completely honest, it's one reason I'm not a fan of the UKFF forum awards as we're still voting people the "worst" this or that. Ā It's meant to be in good humour, but it probably stings quite a bit.
This all day long. Iāve read some pretty shitty comments from certain forum members over the years that Iād class as bullying. Some aimed at me, some aimed at others. At the end of the day, weāre human beings who deserve to be treated with respect. If a person wouldnāt make certain comments to anotherās face, then donāt make those comments online either.

Exceeded my expectations. Not many people in my local cinema watching (but then thatās normal - itās a very expensive Odeon). Thought the acting was superb, even if some of the cast members didnāt look a lot like the people they were portraying. Thought they covered the story well during a fairly limited amount of time (I agree that an extra hour wouldāve been nice as others pointed out). Overall though, I thought the film was a great watch. Itās up there with the best pro wrestling films Iāve seen. I know that Kevin Von Erich was on a podcast around the time of the US release and seemed very happy with the film which to me speaks volumes.

The lad who "played" John Squire in particular nailed it, but considering he just had to stand there looking at his shoes while he played, maybe I'm being generous.
His name is Tony Scott. He used to be my guitar teacher. Nice bloke and bloody brilliant guitarist.

Noticed that Hasbro have re-released Soundwave and Blaster complete with their cassettes to celebrate the 40th anniversary. Guessing theyāre from the original casts. Suppose nothing is more 1980s Transformer than a robot that transforms into a micro cassette recorder.

Sadly, Nicola Charles is even worse.

Troy Beckwith who played Michael Martin in Neighbours as well as one of Pugwallās band mates has passed away. Think he was troubled in recent years (he went missing a few years ago). No word on the cause of death yet.

OK, who had Klopp leaving Liverpool at the end of the season on their football bingo card this year? Now the speculation as to where he is going and who will be the new manager will begin in earnest, unless its already done deals all around.Ā
Xabi Alonso has to be in with a chance. Top of the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen and still unbeaten this season. Heās about the only ex Liverpool player I can think of whoās actually doing well in top flight football management right now anyway.

Plus Vince has got to be the richest Carny in history, right?
A lot of us probably wouldnāt have seen or cared about American pro wrestling had he not had the ambition to market the WWF internationally. And therefore we wouldnāt be on a message forum talking about wrestling. Kind of makes this whole thing seem worse in a way. Like a lot of us only care about pro wrestling because of him. And look what heās been up to. Weāre all a bunch of mizarks!

100%, conpletely, absolutely unrelated to any recent posts, but worth remembering this is a public forum and easily searchable on the Internet, as such probably best to avoid anything libellous.Ā
As some Blackpool FC fans talking about Karl Oyston on a message board once found out.

I respected Flair as a pro wrestler. For me, heās up there as one of the all time greats. 1980s and 1990s Ric Flair more often than not gave the fans more than their moneyās worth. Heās also been through a lot. I canāt begin to imagine what losing a son must feel like. But seeing as Flair very nearly died in recent years and judging by his past drunken antics over the decades, youād have thought heād look in the mirror and give alcohol the wide berth. Heās really doing himself no favours. And judging by his name and shame social media posts (something that I personally despise), he thought he was in the right. Itās really quite sad to see.
