  1. Speaking of Local Facebook, someone took a photo of an overgrown weed in a pavement on a busy street last week in my area. They moaned about the Council and then the rest of the pitchfork brigade joined in the outrage instead of someone actually doing the right thing and reporting the weed to the Council. As soon as it was reported, the Council got rid of it.

  2. I’m not too keen on the new Transformers either. Although visually superb, Netflix cut costs with the voice actors and I also found the storyline to be a bit dull. They’d have been better off just buying the rights to the Generation 1 cartoons (and 1986 movie in 4K) and showing those instead.

Come to think of it, the only Netflix original animation that I actually enjoyed was the Rocko’s Modern Life one-off special.

  3. I didn’t really like the new MOTU. I thought the animation was decent and looked great in HDR but I found the story a bit on the dull side. It seemed to be more about Teela when I expected it to be more about He-Man v Skelator. I heard it’s getting very mixed reviews online and Kevin Smith hasn’t taken the criticism too well. I get that MOTU is more of a kid’s cartoon and toy line above all else but this series was supposed to have been aimed at older viewers who grew up watching the original series. Which is why I watched it but I wasn’t that impressed overall.

  4. Regardless of whether you’re a Bray fan or not, to release him and to tell him it’s due to “budget cuts” is taking the piss. Made even worse if it’s true that he was suffering from poor mental health since Brodie’s passing. It’s probably true, it’s not like Bray has been on WWE TV much this year. The company is more loaded than ever largely due to Nick Khan.

What else would we get on Peacock over here if the Network did migrate across? If I lose my access to it because I'm with Virgin Media I'll just sack it off and get Britbox instead.

Think it’s hard to say because a lot of what’s on the US version is probably shown by other broadcasters over here already. I’m guessing anything that Comcast owns and Sky already show can still be on the UK version of Peacock though (like Saturday Night Live). No way is Premier League football going on Peacock UK of course (at least live games anyway). There are some original series that Peacock show so I’d guess we’ll get those. We’ll probably end up getting the new Saved By The Bell too as I don’t think any other UK Broadcaster has shown that yet (correct me if I’m wrong).

  6. Cornette seems very unforgiving. He refused to watch any of Britt Baker’s matches for a while after the Tooth and Nail match as it thought it was a load of “comedy bullshit” (in fairness, it was pretty crap but Britt has been brilliant lately so he’s missing out). I think the fact that Kenny Omega (“Kenny Olivier” or “Twinkletoes McFingerbang” as he likes to call him) had a match with a blow up doll and a Japanese Schoolgirl all those years ago means he’s banned for life. Probably also hates Joey Janella for wrestling the Invisible Man on an Indy Show too.

Another strike on Nick Khan’s cost cutting wrap sheet

Does make me wonder if WWE will make the lower subscription cost (with Peacock in the States) an excuse for cutting down on documentaries.

  8. Noticed some more episodes of WWF Superstars from 1994 have been uploaded. I watched one episode where IRS faced Scott Steiner in a King of the Ring qualifier (must have been one of the Steiner’s last WWF appearances). I forgot about the WWF allowing fans to be guest managers and ring announcers so often. The product wasn’t as bad as I remembered around that point in time either.

So apparently WWE are pausing production on their documentaries mean announced stuff like the Lex Luger Icons one that was due out today, the Untold episode on Nexus that was supposed to air last month and the Vladimir Superfan one won’t see air at present

Was looking forward to the Luger Documentary. Very poor of WWE to advertise something and then suddenly postpone it at the last minute.

    Doesn't he chew tobacco?

Yes. Or least did back then. I remember watching a shoot interview with Shawn and he was chewing tobacco throughout the whole thing.

  11. Liverpool Comic Con is usually decent. I’ve been to three of them. It’s well organised and the Exhibition Centre is a large and suitable venue.

  12. NXT often means you already know exactly who the next wrestlers on Raw and Smackdown are and what they’re going to be like which kind of kills some of the suspense for me. Back in the OVW days, only the locals would see the TV most of the time. I’m guessing that WWE are making extra ad revenue by having NXT as a two hour show and have sold the TV show around the world so financially, they’re probably better off with it. Quality wise though, NXT is quite a boring show these days but you could probably say that about WWE in general now.
