  1. It's the 20th anniversary of our class of '95 finishing our GCSEs this June and leaving School (yes I'm old). A girl who I went to school with decided to create a group to celebrate this and invited a load of us in. I've looked at the list of people who are also in the group and it reads like a who's who of bellends who I'm not Facebook friends with. People have also been discussing our days at school as if they were good times (good times that I struggle to recall). Seems to have gone quiet on the school reunion front over the last couple of weeks. Probably because there are a lot of mutual feelings of dislike amongst us. Needless to say that if there is a Do organised, I won't be going. Nice of the girl to set this up but I'm not liking the idea.

  2. Not saying that anyone is being friendzoned here but it's happened to me and this is all I can say about that kind of situation. Walking away from being friend-zoned is actually great advice. If you walk away and the girl wants you back as more than a friend, she'll say so. If she doesn't contact you, then you're free to move on with your life and find someone who actually wants you. Wanting a girl in your life who doesn't feel the same way about you often isn't a good idea and likely won't end well.

On a side note, maybe a timeline list that shows all network content in chronological order would be a good idea? Just a thought...

There is a chornological list of content on Reddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircle/wiki/wwe_network_shows_chron

There are also lists categorised by talent, match type, and chronological order by promotion here: http://www.reddit.com/r/squaredcircle/wiki/network

    Thanks. That'll come in handy.

  4. Decided to try watching all pay per views that I've missed chronologically. Possibly all Saturday Night's Main Events and Clash of the Champions too if I can be bothered. Started with Starcade 1983. Looks dated but that's because it's from 1983. The quality of wrestling was overall probably better than anything the WWF were doing at the time. Ric Flair vs Harley Race in a cage for the Title was very good. A LOT of blading seemed to happen in NWA which I think added to the realism of the product (screw you TV PG!).

  5. Decided to watch 1995 Raw from beginning to end. I might not make it. The first episode is filmed in a high school or college gym. You can make out the wood floor beneath some of the mats. If the hard camera zooms out the width of the ring, you can see the wall behind the back row of bleachers. Hence while the match is going on, they zoom in really close. It has Monsoon and HBK on commentary and they are woeful. There's a JJ angle where hes supposed to sing but doesn't. Monsoon is running ahead of the angle. He's telling you what will happen.Love the Royal Rumble Report with Todd Pettingill though. I'm a sucker for those things. He runs through the entrance to the Rumble and they are proper shite as we all know but I still want to watch it. Madness.Duke Droese has a squash match. He gets thrown into the ropes, stops 6 inches short, has a look and then bounces into the ropes. Not sure I've seen another pro do that.Luger/Bulldog vs. Tatanka/Bigelow ends in a double count out and then restarts to a finish. Clearly when they tapes it, they restarted right away but on the show, they come back to it for the main event slot and pretend it just got started again.

This is exactly why the WWF needed the kick up the backside that was WCW Nitro. Mid 90s WWF was on the whole (with obvious exceptions), piss poor.

  6. Has anyone seen the 2007 Monday Night War Legends Roundtable? Christ on a bike, I know he was obnoxious, but you sort of felt sorry for Bischoff.

Yep. It wasn't exactly a fair fight. Pretty much all of the other guys at the table were working for WWF when WCW had them on their knees and didn't seem like they wanted to give Bischoff an easy ride.

  7. I'm seriously thinking about watching every WWF/WWE, WCW and ECW PPV that I haven't seen yet in chronological order. That will take me a while but I'm especially looking forward to some of the 80s NWA and early 90s WCW stuff as that was way ahead of its time. I remember watching early 90s Bill Watts WCW on ITV and it's an underrated era IMO. Can't fault the Network at all now. There was a bit of buffering and some connectivity issues with certain PPVs at first but lately, I've had no problems watching on my PS3 at all. HD and no buffering. I think it's BRILLIANT value for money. If new episodes of Raw and Smackdown were on the Network, I'd probably cancel my Sky Subscription. Wonder if the FA Premier League will follow suit and launch their Premier League Pass Service (currently available in parts of Asia and New Zealand) in the UK? I'd guess not because there are too many peoples' financial interests at stake (namely Sky and BT's). I believe it only works out as £8 a month for that service. If only...

  8. Seems unfair that we have pay more than every other country. Hoping that I can carry on using my Paypal account to pay $9.99 a month and stop using VPNs to trick my devices to think they're in the US and it will work anyway.

  9. Getting engaged is not equivalent to 'getting stuff together'. There are plenty of people for whom getting engaged was the worst thing they ever did. Concentrate on what you want, not what the internet suggests you should be wanting.

    Amen.

  10. Those "It's been a great year" things are pissing me off too. Had my notification that I'd "had a great year" today. How do Facebook know? As a matter of fact, this year ranks as one of the most miserable years of my life.

Gloating parents can piss off as well. Finding it a little worrying that the vast majority of bellends from School are now breeding so I actually fear for the future of the human race.

Noticed that four Facebook friends were tagged as being at the pub tonight for a post work Christmas drinking session. Was extremely tempted to comment with a sarcastic "thanks for inviting me" but resisted temptation. Probably time I had a friends clear out session.....

  11. anyone on here use online dating? I have a paid subscription to match.com, but i have not recieved a single message or a reply to any i have sent in nearly 2 months (99% sure its becasue i am short and am ugly as sin)

what are peoples experiences of sites like that?

Been on a few sites. Mainly POF and I've had similar experiences. Contact being initiated by women is rare in my case and when it is, I'm often not interested. Had a few brief relationships but nothing long term. The lack of responses is starting to bother me a bit. Really need to work on my profile and messages.

Tend to find I've had more success after the girl initiates the contact which like I say, is rare in my case. Can anyone recomend a dating site that they can say is far and away much better than all the others? Really not sure about POF anymore and only use it because it's free.

  12. I've tried the network on PS3, PC, iphone, Apple TV and Galaxy Tab. Have to say that iphone with VPN HMA seems to be the most reliable method with the best picture quality and next to no buffering. Apple TV and PS3 were fine working with unblock us but eventually stopped working months ago only to never work for me since. Getting the network running on an Android is a pain with the GPS location detection but it is possible with VPN HMA and a spoof GPS Location app. However, I find the network buffers a lot on Android. I'm hoping that as soon as the UK gets the Network, I'll be able to use the same login credentials and cut out all the VPN stuff as it's a faff. Does concern me that talk of the UK getting WWE Network seems to have calmed a lot though.

  13. Just finished watching the Hart episode in the Monday Night War series and although i still enjoyed it there was nothing new thrown in. It was pretty much the Greatest Rivalries with Bret and Shawn cut down to an hour. They finished it off with Bret's return to Raw in 2010 when he and Shawn buried the hatchet. But these episodes seem to have the same talking head segments thrown in almost every time.

Pretty much what I thought. Although well produced, this episode (along with several others in the series) didn't really tell me anything I didn't already know. Still a great series for people who weren't fans during the mid to late nineties though.

  14. Your lucky i have one that "checks in" at the local A&E then has 20 mates asking her whats wrong. She then ignores them all to build up the drama. When that failed to get her noticed we got a

"I look lush in this hospital robe" She was preggers at the time....Needless to say she was fine and it was a mere check up.

My God. Some people should be banned from social media.

  15. The Coke advert was on last night. I guarantee that's why the simpleton did it.

LOL. And whilst on that subject, how many people have Facebook friends who updated their status pointing out the fact they'd seen that very same Coke advert so "Christmas must be near"? Three of mine did just that. All three of them are as equally boring as each other and I should probably delete.

  16. Anyone else seen those Bitstrip cartoons that have been appearing on Facebook lately? Think you can make a cartoon version of yourself and add yourself and your friends to different comic strips. Been seeing a few of those this weekend and have to say I haven't found any of them funny or entertaining. Or maybe that's just me being miserable. Seems to have caught on very quickly and I don't actually see what's so good about it.

  17. So, that person that I just keep on my wall to satisfy my British need to be annoyed at things.....

Well just to let a Certain dickhead on here that even mi 4 year old daughter nos how ta tell the truth and u watch this space u wil be found out a lier and i wil be proven right once and for all and al get mi kids back n u need ta learn ta tell the truth ya wanker n yea u nar who u are so watch this space n as 4 pinchin mi mams 4 pouches of backi my pouch of backi n 20 tabs 2 week n a want it back ova wise the cops wil get hold of this rot in hell ya lier
    .

    Quality.

I love status updates like this (airing dirty laundry in public - well, amongst their Facebook friends anyway). They keep me entertained. And when I think life is bad, I just look on my Facebook News Feed and know that there are people out there who are worse off than me.

  18. There are people who only remain on my friends list because I find their regular meltdowns and slanging matches entertaining.

I'm the same. In fact, there are a few people whose status updates I read where I ask myself, "how on earth did I become associated with them in the first place?".

  19. People who air their dirty laundry on Facebook come across as pathetic but quite honestly, I find them hilarious at times.

My sister was added by one of her old school acquaintances (not really a friend) who lets just say, isn't the classiest of women. It got to the stage where my sister kept reading out her status updates at work during lunch breaks and the whole office would be in fits of laughter.

The best update I heard from this woman was this was though...

"It's great to finally be with a man who takes me to posh places at last!". She tagged herself at Wetherspoons in Stockport.

  20. She's also started using 'hun' all the time, which is my number 1 Facebook twitch-inducer at the moment, and all her political views have changed to that of a Daily Mail reader since she became a mum. Sadly, I think she may have become a baby bore :(

It certainly sounds that way. The same thing happened to one of my ex girlfriends after she became a mum. It also happened to someone who used to be one of my best friends from childhood who hardly ever used to go on Facebook. He seems to go on it a lot more nowadays but only since he became a dad (and again, that's only to upload pictures and videos of his child).

Maybe I come across as bitter as I have no kids of my own but if I did, I'd make sure that their every waking moment wasn't captured on Facebook. There are limits!
