Daniel Bryan is a overhyped wrestler.
You're not alone on that. I don't get the whole love for Daniel Bryan that a lot of wrestling fans seem to have.

I don't get what's so special about Nandos. People seem to love it. I don't see why.

Mick Mars (from Motley Crue) was a very underrated lead guitarist. Not sure what he's been doing since the band split up (I know he's had health problems) but for me, in his day, he was up there with the best of them as far as the rock music genre goes anyway.

Something Else To Wrestle With Bruce Prichard is one of the most watched things on the Network. I'm not surprised by this. Two people who know their stuff going into detail about major happenings from WWE over the years. And Bruce was there. OK, it's toned down from the podcast and under WWE control but I still find it entertaining. Plus the video helps improve the show as well. More entertaining than listening to wrestlers talking in a rental car anyway.

I see the latest Something to Wrestle With Bruce Prichard Podcast about Edge's WWE career is over five hours long. Only an hour and half to go....
-
Austin is being ridiculously overcritical if he's calling War Games 92 a "three star match". OK, I haven't watched it for a long time but I remember being super impressed over how good it was. Paul Heyman said at his Inside The Ropes Q&A in Manchester last year that he thought War Games '92 was the best WCW match ever. I can't think of many (if any) that were better myself if I'm honest. I don't really get where Austin is coming from there but I'll have a listen to the podcast after I've watched the PPV again anyway.

One of my work colleagues shared a Sky News story about the Grenfell victims being rehoused in Luxury Appartments and commented that that there were better ways to spend his tax money. His attitude has always been "f*ck the poor". He told me himself so I probably shouldn't be surprised. Blatant bellend behaviour from what I can see though.

Bought my ticket for Something to Wrestle With Live on the first day of sale for Manchester. Conrad isn't on the Tour but I don't mind. I'm really looking forward to this.

After watching Edge and Christian's bloody awful and unfunny network show only once, I'm not sure I can be bothered listening to their podcast but might just give it a chance anyway.
-
Have to agree with those who've given 'Something to Wrestle With' the thumbs up. Probably the best wrestling podcast there is right now imo. Conrad doesn't annoy me as much as he seems to annoy some of you lot and I like the fact he's not afraid to disagree with Bruce and argue with him on occasions. It's great to hear the stories behind what went on in WWE from someone who was so high up within the company.

Really? This feels like a slow death over 15 years. Occasionally there's a shot of chemotherapy but it's temporary respite. Not sure I've seen a wrestling show decline so quickly since Nitro in 1999. And that's saying something.
Yes really. Raw was nowhere near this bad before the brand split. Now some of the top guys have left (Ambrose, Styles, Cena and Orton plus others) and we're left with three hours of boring crap most Monday nights. Some kind of overhaul is needed. And cut the show down to two hours. WWE won't because of the extra advertising revenue that's earned but I'd rather WWE concentrated more on quality rather than quantity. And so do most other people judging by their falling ratings.

Fuck you. If not for the split, this shite would be all over both shows. Thank heavens for small mercies.Sod the brand split.
Bit of an overreaction. The brand split hasn't exactly improved Raw though has it? Smackdown is a better show though in fairness. Can't help but think that WWE did away with the original brand split for a reason last time.
-
Oh. Vince blew a gasket backstage during the Heyman promo according to Bryan Alvarez. What did he expect? Again, it was in Minneapolis(!).

I'm starting to think WWE don't have a clue these days. Did they try and get a weak Goldberg chant going knowing that they were in Lesnar's hometown of Minneapolis while Lesnar was in the ring for God's sake? Not even the greatest promo person in history Paul Heyman could save that segment. I sense WWE are going to do a number on Goldberg like they did with Sting (like a final f**k you to WCW). I could be wrong but I doubt it.
I think the bookers/writers are listening to podcasts and/or reading the dirt sheets. I heard one podcast recently with one guest (can't remember who, I listen to a lot of them) who mentioned how Mick Foley should do a promo warning Charlotte and Sasha of how dangerous Hell in a Cell is. And that's exactly what happened!
What a stupid finish to the main event. How does Rollins pinning both Jericho and Owens build their credibility as the top heels on the brand? Is Vince even watching right now or is his eye off the ball? Seriously, it's an awful show right now and I'm close to finishing watching. Might just watch Smackdown instead. And I'm not bothered about that either. Sod the brand split.

Why's it ridiculous? It's not his name..
Because WWE clearly seem hellbent on owning everything they can to do with wrestling. Dusty was allowed to use the Rhodes name in whatever territory he worked for before and after he joined the WWF. Why should WWE own yet another part of wrestling history? It's kind of sad to me. Still, I'm guessing the ownership of the name must've been agreed upon at some point. Kind of annoys me really.
-
WWE actually own the Rhodes name? That's ridiculous! As for Cody, he must have been really unhappy to walk away from a WWE contract to go and work in high school gyms and now TNA (whose future is uncertain). He's wrestling Kurt Angle at Altrincham Ice Rink soon I believe.

I'm enjoying the Lombardi interview on Jerichos podcast.
It's a perfect mix of a nice guy, who believes his own shit, with sprinkles of lies and some really funny stories.
Good listen so far.
I thought that too (even if he did say he was voting for Trump). He probably does hold the record for being the longest serving WWE employee as an actual worker. He's seen several eras too.
I'll give Jericho his due. He gets some pretty interesting guests which I mainly why I like his Podcast the most (especially as I'm also a fan of rock music). I think as a host, Steve Austin is probably the best but some of his guests downright suck. It's sometimes like listening to two friends talking at the pub about any old random stuff that isn't actually very interesting.

Meanwhile, Brock Lesnar who seems exempt from WWE drug testing is set to make even more money for himself by being booked in a match at Summerslam this Sunday #doublestandards
-
Eva Marie suspended now too!
-
I've been trying to follow the Attitude Era chronologically starting with the Raw in December 1997 with Vince's 'we've been insulting your intelligence promo'
Funny how a lot of things in life seem to go full circle.

Paige needs to ditch Del Rio. He seems like a bad influence on her and could end up costing Paige her WWE career. I've seen this kind of thing before.
-
Austin and Ambrose seemed like more of a blatant clash of personalities than anything else. I also thought the Podcast was every bit as awkward as a lot of people have been saying. Neither seemed to actually like each other very much and were becoming irritated at the slightest thing each other said. Was quite entertaining if I'm honest!

Has anyone on here binned off Sky in favour of Kodi? If so, is it worth doing and do you really miss Sky? I'm seriously considering doing this. OK, it's nice to have Sky Sports in HD but I only really watch football and wrestling on those channels. Top that with the fact that Sky lost the Champions League to BT and I'm really tempted to switch to BT TV instead alongside my Android box with Kodi installed.
Sky only show WWE anyway. With Kodi, I can watch TNA the day after the States see it, NJPW, ROH, Lucha Underground and WWE. I suppose the only drawback is it's not always HD and some of the streams buffer but for free, I'd probably take that.
