Echo the love for Cole's heel run. It should have ended at WrestleMania or gotten toned down and kept on fully, though. It got to be really overbearing and then he just snapped back into being Vintage Cole.Â
Â
It was Lawler's heart attack that caused the snapback, as a lot of Cole haters gave him props for how he handled the rest of the episode

Have you met football fans?
Yep and some of them are disturbed beyond beliefÂ

Do these idiots not realise that it's just a game of football ffs? Fair enough you don't like the guy but that is going way too far

Just watched the Edge/Orton angle (well the 5 minutes it got clipped to) and the post show stuff, the thing that amused me on the post show video was Hawkins berating the refs for not stopping Orton, where the hell were him and Ryder considering Edge gets talked up as being their mentor
Hopefully they follow it up next week with the figure geeks actually showing a bit of fired up seriousness though I suspect it’ll be Rey as the one going after Orton till Edge comes back

What an arse backwards 'fact' if there ever was one. If it had started in 1901, fair enough.
Not that arse backwards, he called the last Rumble of the 90’s, the latter half of the 2000’s, all of the 2010’s and the first of this decade last night
-
Couple of points coming out of the Rumble
Edge has signed a 3 year deal but is strictly going to be used as a special attraction for big events, he won’t be used regularly like Bryan
There was a reason why Tom Phillips was calling the Raw matches last night, he’s officially replacing Vic Joseph as the voice of the show as of tonight (side note he called the World’s Collide show on Saturday as Mauro was doing a boxing card for Showtime)
-
There is a new member of the broadcast team, as of the tapings yesterday
It's only Sean f'n Mooney
-
Very enjoyable show, the only let down was Storm/Ripley again, as good as they are individually they just don’t seem to click in the ring togetherÂ

Incredible stat list as always Rick, think this year is the first that I cannot think of one solid name to win the men’s match, I don’t see Lesnar going all the way from #1, Reigns is a maybe but I get the feeling that the Corbin feud still won’t be over even after the Falls Count Anywhere match earlier on the card, Rollins is another possibility to do a Hogan/Michaels/Austin in winning back to back matches
As for the Women’s, I can see either a returning Rousey or Shayna Baszler winning, depending on whether Becky beats Asuka or not otherwise the only other viable options are Charlotte or Sasha
-
Thought it best to do a separate thread for this rather than clog up either brand’s thread
This is looking like being a cracking show tomorrow, unless there are any last minute announcements today or early tomorrow then this looks likely to be the final card
Pre-Show
Mia Yim vs Kay Lee Ray (NXTUK Women’s Champion)
Main Card
Finn Bálor vs Ilja Dragunov
DIY vs Moustache Mountain
NXT Cruiserweight Title
Angel Garza (c) vs Isiah Scott vs Jordan Devlin vs Travis Banks
NXT (Women’s) Title
Rhea Ripley (c) vs Toni Storm
Undisputed Era vs Imperium
As they aren’t doing the Dusty Classic final on this show, I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a singles match as a teaser for it between a member of each of the final 2 teams
-
Note for anyone who hasn't seen online yet, Powerrr is 90 minutes long tonight and is apparently the season finale
-
Don’t think anyone did let’s be honest but it’s a great move as long as they don’t go all WCW on us, NXTUK being FTA is the bigger news though it’s airing at a bit of a daft time, all 3 shows being on catch up will mean more eyes on the product hopefullyÂ
Funny how it’s taken for Sky losing their stranglehold for all this to happen though

I'm liking the Otis/Mandy stuff atm but was thinking about what it reminded me of, then it hit me, it's near enough a total redo of the Sunny/Phineas Godwinn angle from 96 complete with Tucker playing the role of Henry Godwinn in trying to snap the lovable goof out of his infatuation. The only differences are that Mandy has actually been wrestling, has a friend in Sonya and Heavy Machinery aren't chasing tag titles

Nice tease on Dark this week (only 33 minutes long) when Daniels stalled hitting his moonsault because of the recent botches.Just doubting his ability. Though it was a nice call back.
Interesting news about why Dark was so short this week, they had a tag match with Billy Gunn teaming with his son Austin against Shawn Spears and some random guy called Preston Vance, (originally it was to be against Proud and Powerful), that many thought was taped for the show but turns out it was a true ‘dark’ match intended as a tryout for Austin which seems to have gone well
-
Only half way through this week’s episode, not sure I’m that keen on Gallus losing 4 days before the ladder match in Blackpool, even if it was by shady means to UE, I’d have held that match off till next week imo

Nearly. I don't want Mr fucking Anderson and I didn't ask for it.
Big Trev was the GOAT of this episode though. What a man.
The smirk on his face when the Dawsons got drawn against each other was pricelessÂ

Is anyone able to post an invite a friend link for the Fite app?Â
PM’d you

I’d know about the surprise beforehand but it was still incredibly amusing to see in ‘real time’
Side point, we were mocking Jericho’s appearance in the NJPW thread, but bloody hell Ken Anderson’s huge gut sticking out his green trunks in the tag match was far worse
-
One of the more baffling memories for me was the fact Hulk came out to that NWO rip off theme when there was no restrictions to them using American Made, only to later down the line give it to fucking Abyss as a theme during that angle where he had the power of Hulk's HoF ring

I've made my goal for this year to start watching more New Japan and with being bed ridden most of the day due to a bug, today was the perfect opportunity to start and to be honest, it was totally worth it. I'd wanted to watch parts of the show anyway just for Liger's penultimate match and Mox/Archer but the show as a whole was a fun watch. Looking forward to night two tomorrow now, mainly for the Liger finale, Jericho/Tanahashi and Okada/Naito though the Six Man title gauntlet match involving all of NJPW's factions on the pre show should be a good match too
-
Ironically I’ve clicked on this thread as I’ve got WrestleKingdom on and Liger-san has just made his entrance for his penultimate match, it’s still one of my all time favourite wrestling themes and it was gutting that WWE couldn’t get the rights for it when Liger had that amazing match with Breeze at Takeover a few years back
One of the wrestling accounts I follow on Instagram has been putting up random Liger matches for the past 2 days and it’s been phenomenal reliving some of his great US matches against the likes of Eddie, Pillman and othersÂ

The Creepshow series looks like it might be fun. Checking that out later.
I watched it weekly when it came out, some of the stories were hit and miss but overall it was a fun series

Is there anyway to watch 'In Search of Darkness' online? Been wanting to watch it since it was announced but wasn't going to fork out $40 for it
-
Really surprised they've go with Mandrews and Webster as one of the UK teams. would have thought Moustache Mountain would have been a surefire choice
Football 19/20. A season in which 20 Wrexham youths went to a right wing rally and twatted all the coked up right wing fat fucks in Manchester. UP THE SHAGGING TOWN

Both clubs have denied any such bid, I don't see us selling Richy in any case
