  1. Russo is the ultimate tool. 100% full of shit and an insufferable voice, tone, and vocabulary. "Bro, bro, bro, bro!"

I never listen to him on anything. Besides the annoying voice, he's literally lying all the time so there's no point.

Only thing that grates on me on the Prichard podcast is Conrad Murray and his calling bullshit on almost anything Prichard says.
I'm sure he thinks he is 'the voice of the fans' but he just comes off as an annoying turd most of the time.

Yeah, he's a bit annoying now. Fancies himself as a celebrity and even bought himself a replica belt with "World Champion Podcast Host" on it. That's right - he awarded it to himself.

He used to be quite chilled, but all the attention & Twitter nuthuggers have gone to his head now. He calls bullshit even when Bruce is telling the truth. Last week, he couldn't believe that Bruce had never heard about all the epic matches CM Punk had in IWA Mid South - in front of 45 people.

All that said, I still tolerate it for the content - the show with Bruce is still very interesting and Conrad is actually better than most podcast hosts.

  3. Are there any Fozzy fans that aren't also wrestling fans? I've yet to see one. Every single person on Twitter that Jericho RT's about Fozzy is a wrestling fan.

  4. Hey Kaz:

    1) Yes, of course he's a racist fucker - but that was still his own private comment in what he assumed was private situation.

    3) It was never brought up in the documentary since it didn't involve the courts - because Hogan didn't sue Bubba. They settled for $5k (which was touched upon), so that was the end of it. There's no way they were stolen though - what a garbage excuse. As if someone randomly broke into Bubba's house & knew what to look for and where they were (the tapes were in a safe apparently). No idea why Hogan sue that little cunt too.

  5. Yeah, the last 40 mins were just padding. Shite padding.

I think we were supposed to feel sympathy for Gawker, but I didn't - they're scumbags. I hate that type of journalism. Their whole point about it being unfair that Peter Theil funded Hogan's lawsuit held no water - because what if someone is in the right but can't afford $15m to bring Gawker to court? Then it's tough shit. The person who funds the case is irrelevant (in a way), when it's the courts that make the ultimate decision. All they're doing is paying for representation for someone who has been wronged. If Theil hadn't backed Hogan, he couldn't have afforded the case himself - and Hogan was certainly in the right here and did nothing wrong. He didn't know he was being filmed and he certainly didn't leak it. He has a right to privacy.

It all just reminded me what a scummy little cunt Bubba is. No idea how he didn't get into far more trouble. He filmed it and he leaked it too! I don't buy the whole "it was stolen" story that he pedalled. He was far more guilty than Gawker in all this.

Russo asked Sean Oliver of Kayfabe Commentaries to organise an event with him and Cornette where they would be standing face to face and Jim could say everything he's said behind his back to his face and then Russo could give his reply. It was meant to be on iPPV for $10, all the money going to the Cauliflower Alley Club for the retired wrestlers who have no pension or medical insurance that could really use the money and of course Jim loves that. Jim loves all those wrestlers doesn't he so why not give them some money?

WTF are you on about? It was Cornette's idea to go face to face with Russo on PPV for charity. I heard him say it 2 years ago on his own Podcast. He publicly said he'd be up for a face to face debate, but didn't want Russo making money off it, so suggested it be for charity.

Is Russo now saying is was his idea and Jim refused? Because that's literally the opposite of what happened.

It's just how Finn poses for pics, in the style of a kid getting its picture taken first day of school

    Cheers!

I see lots of photos of him doing it, and lots of hashtags - but no origin explanation.

Hastings from LOD is my favourite police show character ever. When he's giving out to people during interviews it sounds like Jim McDonald from Corrie became a copper.

Yeah, easily my favourite character - especially this last series.

  9. Yeah, that FORD thing was unreal - worst case I've ever seen. So stupid, and completely inappropriate timing too. And why the fuck would you even bother unlocking your phone, boot up an app, and then start your car? You can do it quicker by just getting in the car & pressing "START", instead of standing around outside it for 10 seconds. Pointless - like a juicer with wifi. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/features/2017-04-19/silicon-valley-s-400-juicer-may-be-feeling-the-squeeze

Line of Duty is the best thing on TV right now.

  10. I might give Bruce's podcasts a try, is it good to start from the beginning of his podcasts, what episode number should I start from please.

From the beginning. It's a great podcast, as irritating as some parts are.

At the start Prichard was annoying, since he's such a bullshitter & contradicts everything Meltzer says just for the sake of it (Conrad uses The Observer for 95% of his research). And I liked Conrad from the Flair podcast. But now it's like they've both done a 180. I've warmed to Prichard because I get him more now. He's still carny as fuck but he's giving us a lot more now than he was at the start, and he seems less defensive. I think he likes doing the podcast now since it has good numbers & good reviews. At the start he seemed to be doing it begrudgingly.

Conrad is still a good host, but his ego has grown massively to where he berates Prichard pointlessly, throws hissy fits, keeps cracking open cans of coke to guzzle down his massive gob mixed in with some dry roasted peanuts, and sounds really uncool when he curses.

But I really look forward to the show each week, because Prichard was there for all the best eras in WWF/WWE. Every topic is something I grew up on, and using The Observer as a source works really well too because you're also getting Meltzer's take on things. So rather than ask Prichard an open-ended question (which he would end up talking a lot about, but saying very little), Conrad tells him something Meltzer said, and asks him to elaborate. So there are a number of interesting dynamics in play.

  11. You can hear he ego growing with every show and dont get me wrong i enjoy listening but its just a matter of time before he goes too far and ruins it everyone.

Bigtime. The difference between the early Ric Flair shows (where you had a humble, really good presenter who knew his role) to now is huge. And it's only been 1 year.

Just going to post this again because it's hilarious, and shows how Conrad got his start - by flying in wrestlers for personal appearances at his house, and paying them a fee to be his friend, watch matches with him, & tell him stories. Not that there's anything wrong with that per se - but he needs to keep some perspective:
