  1. Why do they all have to go to WWE who also have a bloated roster?
  2. I was more thinking post ROH buy out. One thing I think Tony Khan did that was great was giving loads of people work on AEW Dark during the pandemic, but also they all weren't signed up immediately after or part of a buy-out. I think the ROH stuff is different and more the vagueness of who is where etc
  3. To desperately drag this away from chat that should probably be in the Tony is a Twat topic, one thing I genuinely am struggling with (real life means I'm watching less and just Dynamite) is the roster needs streamlining a bit, or having it's house in order more. I don't mean get rid of ROH, but just keep who you want on there. I would have kept that Continental Crown together and had that be the bridging link between AEW, ROH & NJPW. You don't really need that many titles prattling about. Sweet wholesome WWE is bad for it too. Generally wrestling has too many belts. But yeah, I'd have who I wanted on AEW and really focus on that, and if I was bringing people in (not Forbidden Door guests), I'd at least try and give a reason. I still don't know if Shane Taylor Promotions for example are ROH or AEW, or are they both? Has Griff Garrison (not that it's important, poor lad) left AEW to ROH because he's mostly there? Little things like this make me wrinkle the nose a bit. I think I just like things clearer. Or maybe just having this open border works for other fans, it's better than brand splitting and having that awful Wildcard bollocks WWE had for a bit. Nothing wrong with mentioning ROH on TV etc, I just want things more clear and to understand who people are like that Japanese lady who popped up on Dynamite and snogged Mariah May. Don't explain everything to me obviously because that's twitter wrestling fan duh brain look no fans isn't AEW shit discourse, but gimme a wee hint guys. You've got the time, get RJ City directing some vignettes I dunno. Anyway Moxley is IWGP Champ and is popping back next week. Death never takes a holiday and seemingly neither does Mox.
  4. Something I've been thinking about reading some of this. In this scenario is Vince's dad still the owner of the WWF and when he dies in 1984, who takes over the company? If he was still in charge in 1984 given real life he sold up to Vince Jr in 1982. Is Gorilla Monsoon running the shop?
  5. Simple question and I'm not being sarcastic here but, are we all fucked now?
  6. The only thing I really know about Liv Morgan is she has one of them rather mental Mercedes/Alexa Bliss followings that unfortunately actively put me off them by proxy.
  7. Oh god those trademarks. I reckon he's going to do one of those lifestyle guru cult characters or something which with Jericho will probably be annoyingly good then shit and completely wear out it's welcome. Honestly if he just buggered off before Full Gear last year and came back recently we'd think he's less of annoyed sod, for now.
  8. The absolute fuck are you all going on about. He's Paul Levesque now, he's not Triple H. Don't Kevin Steen him!
  9. Chili

    woke.

Juliet has been portrayed as a zombie, a gnome and a seal in different versions, adaptions and productions. Naturally a person of colour playing her is obviously a bit daft.
  10. Bryan Danielson isn't retiring it must be noted, he's just not full-time anymore.
  11. I think he means the inner sanctum of WWE is garbage because it proper is. Not the product itself which even people not watching like myself understand they are doing really well with their TV product.
  12. That's a good point actually that's rather sad. They'll be younger fans who still believe or are semi into that and will probably find this all very dull and confusing.
  13. It's in the footage, Punk goes over to him afterwards after his arse smashed into the screens as they scrapped. You can see Jerry Lynn pulling Punk away as it's the moment Chris Hero gets to them. Punk's a wrestler and their boss isn't, so if one of my employees goes at ME after a ruck and I don't have the weird mentality that I'm some Vince hardman, but just some rich skinny lad running the wrestling, I'd be worried too. Basically there isn't a big secret, we've just watched some CCTV and apparently now Shane McMahon will announce he owns AEW next week because of this or something. I really wish my original theory that someone's cock fell out, or Tony Khan diving into some crisps like Homer at the Kwik-E-Mart happened instead.
  14. Yeah I've seen a few, well this is their WCW moment innit, no going back now etc. I think time and some revision has made people forget or they just never lived through how bad WCW truly was as a business and sometimes a product. Can we have Willow Nightingale, Edge, Briscoe and Kingston as some fun group of ragtag mates please!
  15. I genuinely think that might be the end of the situation, and possibly one that only Tony Khan was interested in showing and nobody (even Bucks/FTR etc) was into and now it's done. Let Twitter and the southern racist tennis fan chat away and let everyone enjoy two different mainstream wrestling products. General overview. Punk looked a knobhead, but hardly breaking news. I felt bad for Jack Perry because saying 'real glass' or not, Punk doesn't need to start throwing hands while your fixing your hair after a match. Physical assaulting a co-worker and then the online response is 'that got him fired?' YES, It's an assault, if this incident shown me anything, it's that some wrestling fans are more than happy and accepting actual physical violence in a work culture/life/situations. It wasn't a grand plan for him to get sacked either I think, he's just a really unpleasant fucker. Awful. I felt bad for Perry, Joe having to dive in, Chris Hero for that genuinely amusing meme reaction, Jerry Lynn having a fucked up neck and having to split them, and finally Tony Schiavone who when they cut back looked like he in the midst of a bad flashback. Also, I haven't seen her in years but we are 4 weeks in, she's not had a match and I'm already reaching my interest level with Mercedes Mone. What do so many people see that I don't? She LOOKS the star but doesn't talk that way. I genuinely think it's something cultural or young that I don't get. Her online stans seem absolutely bloody terrible. Again, I hope it's done. AEW is all I bother with, and I don't want a promotion I'm not interested in getting any clout off it, they're doing very well themselves, so let them. None of this would have happened or aired if they weren't all billionaires.
  16. The Brawl In footage. I've (hopefully) spoiler tagged it. Tweet above got deleted so it's below.
  17. Jericho is as ever a right difficult one to figure out. He was really important to the start of AEW and I'd almost say that even though the JAS angle went on way too long, 2022 was possibly one of his best in-ring performance runs. It seems like after he put Ricky Starks over at Revolution 2023 (great ending that with Starks using his pose to block the Judas Effect), everything just went completely off the rails. As a performer he dropped, as a promo he dropped, as a character with all that joining but not joining Don Callis group and every angle he got involved with (Adam Cole, Sammy heel, Golden Jets) just went to shit. He's been due a fuck off and come back refreshed for about over a year now. Poor Hook. What's more frustrating about Jericho is if he buggered off and came back with something, he'd probably get another fun run out of him. He's both remarkably inconsistent but impressively consistent at doing the Bowie/Madonna minor alteration to his act. Guy got clicking a pen over.
  18. I think airing the footage unless it's something absolutely extraordinary (given we know most of the thing it won't be) is a waste of time you could use for a promo, or a new talent. It's actually very petty WWE of them and WWE are looking rather well from a PR, live events and event perspective at the moment (very perspective given how dodge the their big dogs are). Nothing wrong with little potshots, but actively using time on TV to address it. It's probably ranks high as potentially some of the worst bit of time wasting/emergency PR. Up there with Billionaire Ted, Eric Bischoff beating Vince McMahon via count out at Slamboree but probably not interviewing Melanie Pillman bad. Absolutely bloody stupid and the only way they'd look good here is if Cody didn't win on Sunday so everyone is in a great mood regardless, or something absolutely hilarious happens in the footage, someone's cock falls out or Tony Khan gets carried away crying like when that security guard hoofed Low-Ki that time in CZW.
  19. ...Dude Love Vs Triple H would have opened it?
  20. Apparently a good show but it was full of people who paraded about who protected and voted a known sexual offender to the board of directors so yeah probably a no. Glad they finished the bloody story mind.
