I know they said they would have it wrapped up before the boxing, but looking at the card I can't see it be done within 3 hrs. The only short match will probably be Goldberg V Lashley
-
I'm surprised this has a start time of 8e considering it's likely to run almost 4 hours. Unless they want to wait until it gets dark so people can't really see just how full the stadium is on TV again.
-
Quite funny that they've got a big SummerSlam coming up on Saturday, but everyone is talking about an upcoming episode of Rampage instead.Â
There's just zero buzz around the WWE product right now
-
Sure I remember a part where Foley tells Vince how many stitches he's had backstage at Rumble 99 and he replied with "that's show business"

What’s the rules on a basic biscuit? I went for the cheapest, filled or not. If the case is no filling/coating Nice and ginger nuts are better then Biscoff the Fucking hipster biscuits.
Also, don’t get me wrong, I like an Oreo, but it’s not even a top 10 biscuit.Â
Â
I liked you better talking about 90’s WWF Sky one scheduling then making ludicrous claims about what’s a basic biscuit.
The only thing that's ludicrous is you making out biscuits with cream fillings are a basic biscuit. Even if they are cheap

Biscoff don't have a filling.
I know, my post was pointing out that Scorch was wrong on both examples

Surely a basic biscuit would be a plain Digestive or Rich Tea? Not a biscuit that has a cream filling

My abiding memory of 2001 is the overdue return of WWF shows in big stadiums.
That sight of a full Astrodome for Wrestlemania 17 was one we hadn’t seen since 1992, other that a few Raws at a half full and badly lit Skydome which don’t really count.
Â
There was the Rumble at the Alamodome in '97

Speaking of Regal, I loved it when he would still shit on the audience at the Insurrextion and Rebellion shows in the UK. I think some expected him to be a babyface just for the one night.

It'll be ok for those that stay up late to watch Smackdown live, when it's finished you've got Rampage to take you till 4am.Â
At the end of the day that's what time a PPV would normally finish UK time.

Sadly I was - took four years to break my parents to get Sky, and remember we got it in August 97. First show I watched when we got it...was Livewire on Saturday morning.
Saying that, was Superstars on Saturday morning on Sky as well? Have a memory of walking through Birmingham town centre, looking in a TV store and Ludvig Borga caning some jobber with the Superstars banner in the background, but I may have added the banner in my mind...
If Borga was on the show, chances are it would've been WWF Mania that was on. It often showed highlights from Raw, Superstars and Challenge at the time.

I obviously arrived before you to the party, was Superstars and All American Wrestling when I arrived.Â
I must've already been at the party slightly earlier, Superstars was on a Friday night and the repeat was on Saturday afternoon about 2pm. All American was on Saturday night.

I love it. Like the days of being excited for Livewire on Sky One, a lovely throwback.
You must've been late to the party with Sky. When you talk about Saturday mornings on Sky One from years back, it was always WWF Mania.

Considering there's a big SummerSlam taking place a week on Saturday, seems they're still churning out the same pointless shite on Monday nights.Â

Some comedian, might have been Skinner, did a bit after accusations were made against McCartney about how everyone instantly believed him but if he told people he thought some scouser was beating his wife they'd believe it without doubt and you can get away with anything if you wrote Let It Be.Â
Probably was Frank. Remember when Matthew Kelly went on his chat show after he was accused, and he said "now that you've shaved your beard off, you actually look like a nonce"
Kelly certainly didn't see the funny side of it.

I'm sure during one of the earlier seasons of 24 it was the first time I heard the term "binge watch" being used.

They should get Corbin to sing Hole in My Shoe next week Â
-
I think Cena said that he had a month free in his schedule that allowed him to return to WWE for the build to SummerSlam. So chances are he'll be gone after the PPV.
-
To be fair, Rampage is only going to be a 1hr show. Although if it's popular, they'll probably go to 2hrs and start earlier at 9 so they can compete with the last hour of Smackdown.

Dynamite and Rampage are gonna be the same stories across both, using this as the TV shows thread makes the most sense as will be loads of overlapÂ
In that case, people will have to keep out of the thread until they've seen both shows for spoilers. Some might not watch Dynamite until Saturday and by then Rampage would've already aired.

That sounds quite violent considering the show was still TV-PG at the time. You can also see why Mero wasn't hot on the idea.

Keep forgetting about the time difference in Vegas. So it should be pretty much daylight for the majority of the PPV then.
