  1. Does anyone know why the planned feud between The Stalker and Mero in '96 was dropped at Mero's request?Ā

All I remember about The Stalker gimmick was his appearance at Survivor Series that year. Then the next time you saw him on TV he formed The New Blackjacks with Bradshaw.

I don't think I've ever been as angry in a cinema as I was after Rise of the Footsoldier. Irredeemable. Dread to think what the sequels are like. Aren't there something like 5 of them or something ridiculous?

4 with a 5th being released later this year.Ā  By the time they done the Marbella one the franchise had morphed into a comedy genre

    Villain is worth a watch.Ā

  3. Rise of the Footsoldier

Watched this again as it's now on Sky Cinema.Ā  It's the first and best of the Footsoldier movies as this one is true to the actual story compared to the others that followed.

Craig Fairbrass is fantastic at playing the role of an utter cunt.Ā

  4. I know Goldberg was obviously their 2nd choice as an opponent for Lashley, but it's a bit pointless considering he lost clean to Drew at the Rumble when we last saw him.Ā  Bill has no business being in the title picture, but as others have said, Raw is a fucking shambles anyway.

As far as the piped in noise goes, surely this goes against a show that's being broadcast live.Ā  What's wrong about having a genuine reaction from the crowd?Ā

"Bombarding". Also known as three tweets directed to the wrong ITV Twitter account most likely.

Actually scrap that, seems most of them direct their tweets at Tony Khan. They'll get a better result than asking those fuckwits that run the ITV twitter accounts.

    Ā

Laughed at Cornette's latest rant about Punk and AEW, he reckons if they don't deliver him on the 20th, the fans will literally burn the building down.Ā

Hogan coming out for what seems to have been his final match at a TNA house show in Manchester. I'm no Hogan fan, but the electricity in the air was palpable.Ā

    Ā

    Ā

How did TNA manage to pull this off?Ā  Even WWE couldn't get Hogan to make an appearance at any UK houseshows when he was the champion during that long tour in April '93.

Or that televised UK Rampage in Sheffield

  7. Young Rock will actually air on a new channel replacing Sky One called Sky Showcase from September.

Will also air on Sky Comedy

    He wasn't even joking, Mab.

Either way I still don't have a clue what the fuck the Corden shite is all about.Ā

I can't stand James Corden, but once again I'll go along with it if it keeps you happy, RicksterĀ

    Jungle Cruise

I'll watch The Rock in anything these days but a film with Jesse Plemons in it too? Absolutely.

Loved the ride references. Good classic adventure feel to the film. Still fancy the pants off Emily Blunt and Jack Whitehall wasn't terrible at all.

I'm convinced The Rock will sign up for any film that has Jungle in the title.Ā  Jack Whitehall?Ā  Fuck thatĀ

I'm sure not everyone will agree, but I still feel that WWF Wrestling wasĀ more mainstream over hereĀ in 1992 compared toĀ even the height of the Attitude Era. As you say, it was just everywhere.

Mind you, how it fell off a cliff so quickly is also remarkable. Just another craze to follow Ghostbusters and Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles.

After late '92 I had never really noticed much WWF merch in the shops again until '99 when HMV stores were full of t shirts, calendars. mugs, keyrings, pint glasses and posters etc. Of course most of it was Stone Cold merch.
