I thought the Superman Swing on top of the cage was even more thrilling and impactful then Sammy’s bump, just because of the danger level. While

One of the craziest things I've ever seen... especially after commentary were talking about Jericho having thumbtacks in his boots making it like a skating rink up there!

  2. Just wow! What a way to come back after a lackluster month of TV.

Blood and Guts was immense, although I've always been a fan of the concept and even like the one that Typhoon was the last man in and won it for his team. As previous poster said, it won't be for everyone, made me uncomfortable on several occasions but to me that's pure wrestling at its best, I was fully in to the drama and danger.

Loved the rest of the show too....FTR continuing to prove that they are the greatest thing in wrestling, Christian and Luchasaurus stuff was great too. Think I'm a little too old to 'get' Orange Cassidy but enjoyed the match, although Ethan Page is deffo one of my boys so that helped.

Only negative I can think of was taking Tony off of commentary for the main event...but Regal more than made up for it with random ferret analogies and getting so into the women fighting that he said 'thats it...kick her head in'

Crowd was awesome too....Detroit used to be known for soul...but now it's known for blood and guts!

  3. I think that the buys prove there is a market for this event and I hope that outside the main couple of matches they let the event speak for itself so that not so much needs to factor in and derail the main TV shows. I think the problem was too many unfamiliar characters feeling shoehorned into the Dynamite, and to a lesser extent Rampage for people unfamiliar (like myself) with New Japan, it's factions and it's feuds. Like I still have no idea why Jericho would choose to team with Lance Archer last week.

Also, I really enjoyed Aussie Open after seeing them a couple of times and then they weren't even on the PPV.

We need to talk about Dax though.  Every one of his singles matches have been good - really good.  I know he’s not the biggest or most ripped wrestler but… could he actually be a breakout singles star waiting to happen?

I think Dax is a modern day Arn Anderson. His work is solid and as you say his singles matches have all been really good, but he always seems most at home in tag matches.

  5. Found this in the app store, wasn't expecting much but it's actually packed with awesome content. It says you can subscribe to get more content and watch ad free. I'm watching the free version and as yet have not encountered a single ad!

Has loads of SWS stuff on there which has kinda hooked me, just finished watching a gem of a WWF tag title match between LOD and Natural Disasters. Yesterday watched a great 2 out of 3 falls match between Flair and Tenyru. Also an enjoyable IC match between Mr Perfect and Texas Tornado and even a 6 man tag that pitted Bezerker against Ultimo Dragon.

There also looks to be loads of WOS, UWF and Memphis stuff on there as well as some old indy stuff and Texas stuff as well as loads of those 'before they were famous' DVDs that ultimately end up in Poundland.

Highly recommended checking it out if any of the above interests you. I've only come across 1 thing so far that you have to subscribe to access and that was a SWS supershow headlined by Hogan and Tenyru v RoadWarriors

Cause as I said, in the future he can have a session where he only signs a few of those items, and can charge a few grand a signature to do so. Why sign for 200 now when you can get 2 grand later on?

    Louch.......should be called Grouch.

I think it was clear that I know very little on the subject of autographs.

I'm guessing the cards he won't sign are rare...but event tickets won't be, or are these old event tix we are talking about?

I still don't get it and guess I never will.  If he limits his sigs and charges more surely this would just increase their worth and the owner would still make more than taker. Again I have no idea but in my mind flooding the market with autographs would ensure he ultimately gets a better payday than the collective of people who pay for them?

The event tickets and rookie cards are due to them they being worth multiples of what the item was unsigned. Happening across most signings now. If his action makes it worth thousands, I get why he wouldn’t when he doesn’t then see that return. Also devalues future signings when he says he will sign say 5 cards at 1000 each.

See I'll never understand this. I mean I would never pay for an autograph as I just don't see the point, a photo of you with said celeb is different, but as a tight Yorkshire man I also don't bother with anyone who thinks a photo with them is worth more than £50!

But why would undertaker care that him getting paid his agreed fee to sign something that would then have a high resale value bother him? He doesn't own the merch that is collectable (maybe he should invest) and is getting paid a decent sum to spend 10 seconds signing something. Surely if the resale value bothers him he should sign as many as he can to reduce the value, otherwise he's only increasing their worth?

Not personalising I get due to time and the fact the miserable twat would have to engage with his superfans.

I was at FTLOW a few years ago and people who paid £150 and queued hours for a pic got one with a man who looked miserable and uninterested...anyway rant over....but that's why I think he's a twat....well one of the reasons anyway

Red hot crowd in Baltimore really enhanced the show this week, and as someone said earlier the lighting of the crowd also was an improvement. Venue also looked perfect, much rather a packed house in a venue this size than a half full larger venue.

I enjoyed everything but the main event, I'm starting to feel like ROH is getting shoved down my throat a bit. I did read last week that they were expecting to get trounced in the ratings in the 2nd hour due to some other sporting event so if that's true it explains the main event somewhat.

Rampage looks like it will be decent. I'll never get bored of the pop's for a HOOK graphic! Also looking forward to Jungle Boy Jack Perry Vs Ricky Starks next week

  9. Fantastic episode. I had very little interest in Wheeler Yuta going in to this but it was a fantastic performance and now I look forward to seeing where it goes. Can't ask for more than that!

The Sammy promo was just painful to watch, fans clearly siding with Dan Lambert when he said the couple were a PR disaster waiting to happen. Conti is even more unlikeable than Sammy. I'd like to think they could salvage this with a heel turn but I reckon they might both be too thin skinned to pull it off.

  10. I'll be honest I turned it off before the main event, which is a first. I'm sure I'll go back to it later in week purely as I'm a big fan of Ricky Starks.

Enjoyed the opener and of course my boy Hook is essential viewing so still a good start to a Saturday!

Would I be the only one who gets well pissed off with Sammy and these cards?

What annoys me the most is that it appears he hasn't actually read the cards before coming out so his facials look quizzical as to what is coming next 😆😆

  12. I wasn't Adrians closest friend by a long shot, and geography but reading that yesterday made me put the 'believe' t-shirt on for work today. I think bringing his name into it was low class and has had me in a somewhat weird funk all day.  Anyways onwards and upwards.

  13. The most fun piece of fiction I've read in a long time 😆 in kayfabe terms though, how would your neighbor, Jim Snr feel if he knew you wrote this, fishing for information with apparently no motive or reason? Also, for a man spurting so many facts how did you fail to remember the only bit of pertinent information you seem to want?

Anyway thanks for the laughs. Jay Phoenix is a piece of human garbage.

What a character though. The look, the voice, the way he carried himself, managing, booking etc. I’ve always heard his book is great as well but is pretty much impossible to get hold of these days.

His book is a fantastic read. I tried to get it for years but as you say it's almost impossible to get hold of and very expensive when a copy does appear. I eventually relented and read an E-pub that someone on here sent me. Happy to pay it forward if you are interested.

  15. Just watched an awesome match between Kidman and Juventud from the 25 May 1998 episode of Nitro. Fast paced with a red hot crowd enjoying every minute. Well worth a watch if you enjoy cruiserweight action.
