  1. I could listen to Emmylou all day (and some days I do).
  2. Absolutely sensational dad behaviour, to be fair.
  3. I bookmarked the Letterboxd version of that a few weeks ago! I've seen quite a few of them, but there's some obscure gems in there that I'll be adding to the list for sure. Looking at it makes me nostalgic for the days (about 20 years ago now) of randomly discovering films like Prime Cut, Scarecrow and Straight Time thanks to TCM and, later, MGM HD.
  4. It's not exactly the same kind of film, but I had similar feelings after recently rewatching Men in Black for the first time in an absolute age. Just a really entertaining, funny blockbuster that didn't take itself too seriously and was over and done with in 90 mins. Great family fun. I also happened to see Marathon Man for the first time in yonks and liked it for different reasons. The Hollywood New Wave/New Hollywood is my favourite era of filmmaking ever and, while this isn't a stone-cold classic or anything, it has a lot of the things in it that I love so much about that particular era.
  5. You obviously weren't familiar with his game...
  6. Rikishi has released a diss track aimed at Hulk Hogan in honour of The Iron Sheik.
  7. Probably not a 'boom period' like there was a decade or so ago, but I'm willing to bet there are still plenty of companies (and wrestlers) making alright money on the UK indie scene. The likes of Megaslam, for example, tour the country pretty much full-time and always seem to draw healthy houses.
  8. Conversely, I thought it was really good. They had the right talking heads in the form of his wife and kids, Fonzie, Sabu, RVD, Tod Gordon and the like and I thought it did a commendable job in showing just why The Sandman was as popular as he was. Granted, there wasn't much as far as major revelations, but I didn't know about him spending tens of thousands and 'roids and HGH for his WCW run and subsequently becoming a violent domestic abuser. I ended up feeling particularly bad for his son Tyler, who not only missed having his dad around but also seemed to resent being roped into the angle between The Sandman and Raven.
  9. I've really enjoyed this series. Like Pat said, the Chris Colt episode was a highlight and I agree that more episodes on obscure figures would be welcome. In saying that, I am really looking forward to the episode on Sherri Martel. Just seen the trailer and they have her ex-husband appearing as a talking head, as their run of getting the right people to tell the stories continues.
