  1. The Drifter needs to win the NXT belt. The heat would be amazing. Even more so if it was from a Nakamura/Strong/internet guy.

I'm not enjoying the NXT women's division at all right now. Asuka is good, Ember is decent, but I don't see anything at all in the rest. Although Peyton Royce does have a lovely midriff.

The Takeover card does look weak, but I think Roode/Nakamura, DIY/AoP and Strong/Andrade all have the potential to be great matches. Dillinger vs Young should be pretty fun too. The fat bloke in Sanity is a massive improvement over the guy he replaced.

  2. I dread to think how many years I took of my life, having a double-scallop sandwich for dinner every day I was at high school. Bloody lovely mixture of batter, butter, salt and vinegar.

  3.

I've got Zayn down as an outside chance of being the Rumble winner.

In the same bracket as me having an outside chance of shagging Sasha Banks, that one.

Doesn't she date one of the Full Sail mongs? Don't count yourself out, Raid!

I forgot to mention Big Show. Him and Strowman facing off was great. I used to hate Big Show but now he's in a more reduced role (and is obviously putting in some fucking shift at the gym) I'm loving the bloke.

  4. Really enjoyed this show actually, a lot better than last weeks effort. Happy to see Stephanie and Foley still in a reduced role - can't see it lasting long though unfortunately, I give it two weeks tops until Raw opens with a Steph promo and Foley is in every other segment.

Rollins vs Zayn was great. I agree with Tiger Rick above - while it being face vs face does muddy the waters, it makes sense with Stephanie's recent history with both. Wouldn't mind Rollins attacking and taking the space of a Mahal-type entrant, only for Triple H to run-in anyway and cost him the match. I think I've bought into reading shitty rumours online but I've got Zayn down as an outside chance of being the Rumble winner.

Also enjoyed Reigns vs Jericho, even if it was match #4586 between them since the brand split.

Final segment was ace. They hype and advertise everything so much in advance these days that Lesnar and Undertaker were genuine surprises to me. Goldberg showed that star power and charisma will always overcompensate for a few fluffed lines. I wish it had ended in a massive brawl (maybe with the old trope of everyone from the back running down and getting involved) but I can see why they ended it on a cock-tease note.

Can Charlotte exclusively give pre-taped promos? She's a lot better when she doesn't drone on for fucking years at a time.

  5. Finally caught up with last week's episode. Roode is a brilliant promo. Out of everyone on the NXT roster, he's the one I could see walking into WWE and main-eventing. He's not the most exciting in the ring but he does everything well, has a fantastic character and always manages to get me invested in his storylines.

Can't stand Nikki Cross or the other bloke in Sanity. Really forced, OTT performances. Hopefully the new bloke is a better addition. Young is still good though and him vs Dillinger is a nice little rivalry.

    Revival losing makes me sad.

  6. I'm enjoying it. Gallagher/Daivari was a really fun match and the Alicia Fox love triangle is always a laugh.

It's still early days for the show really. We've still got Tozawa and Aries to come, and you'd imagine once they've bought in a few more people the likes of Nese/Gulak will stop being featured so prominently. I still think taping it after Smackdown is mental, but I wouldn't sound the death knell for the show yet.

I like the sound of Neville v Ibushi at Mania. Everybody who watched the CWC knows that the best guy in it didn't sign.

I'd disagree to be fair. Ibushi was great but I think the hype killed him a little for me. Tozawa was the guy who blew me away.

Anyway, I'd say stick them on the preshow in a multi-man at Mania. I can't see a singles match for the title on the main show at all - they even look out of place on the Rumble card.

  7. As good as the main event and Sheamus & Cesaro vs Gallows & Anderson were, the best thing I can say about it this show is how much a breath of fresh air it was to have a show without Mick cunting Foley or Stephanie McMahon intruding on every segment. More of this please.

Unfortunately, other than those two matches, the rest of the show was one of the dullest in a while. Titus vs New Day 3 weeks in a row? Proper WWE auto-pilot stuff that. And I know she has her fans on here, but nothing makes me stop paying attention more than a Charlotte promo.

Emmalina is never coming, is she?

  8. I'm pretty sure they're training Percy up to become a somewhat competent announcer in the hopes he will replace one of the two utterly useless token black men on Raw/SD. It's the only reason I can see for him joining the NXT announce team. Shame, as Graves and Phillips were fine on their own.

Slow episode for the most part, but DIY and Revival never disappoint. Another cracking match. Revival have got the cheating heel team down to an art form.

I like Oney Lorcan. I don't think he's got the charisma or look to make it anywhere at all in WWE, but I like the stiff striking style him and Ciampa use so I'm happy he's around for the time being. Andrade is such a natural heel, bringing him in as a face seems like madness looking back.

Asuka has been booked so strongly that I just don't buy her getting beaten down so easily by Kath & Kim.

  9. Eh? Big Show vs Khali? The fuck you on about?

I thought this was a decent episode. Not overly arsed about Rich Swann's feud with Neville, but enjoyed the Gallagher stuff (already looking forward to the I Forfeit match) and loving sleazy pervert Noam Dar's story with Cedric/Alicia.

    Alicia Fox is gorgeous.

  10.

Every single HBK segment since his retirement has been fucking shit. It's as though he lost every bit of promo ability he had the second he retired. It was a car crash segment and Enzo wasn't needed out there either - watching him painfully limp around the ring was embarrassing.

I did enjoy Braun vs Seth and the main event though. Would love Reigns to take the belt at the Rumble as Owens title run has been underwhelming.

Undertaker being in the Rumble is fine, but the thought of him vs Strowman at Mania doesn't excite me at all. And I like Strowman.

That's complete nonsense. The stuff he did during the build up to Triple H's matches with Taker and Brock was fantastic. Though it's easy to forget that a) he's been retired for seven years and there's a LOT of stuff he's done since then and b) that there was good stuff when it's in with rubbish like this.

Alright, the Undertaker/Triple H stuff was decent but his hammy overacting in the HIAC match almost spoils one of the best Mania matches of all time (although superkick/pedigree is still my favourite nearfall ever). But I couldn't stand his participation in the Brock/Hunter feud, thought he was terrible there.

I will say though, I did enjoy his little heel segment where Bryan tapped him out. Completely forgot about that one earlier.

  12. That's probably the Joe/Nakamura match I've enjoyed the most, despite knowing the result. I usually can't stand cage matches too. Started off slowly but really picked up towards the end and I loved Nakamura finally killing the rivalry off with 3 Kinshasa's. Fingers crossed that Joe is on his way to the main roster now.

I enjoyed DIY vs TM61 (can't remember the last DIY match I didn't enjoy, actually) but still stand by Nick Miller being an absolute bland bore. Don't see anything in him at all.

  13. I wasn't a massive fan of the Tajiri match, I think the bloke just looks fucking weird now too. Him and Kendrick feuding should be decent enough though. Agreed that Neville/Perkins was really good and TJ's best match in a while - maybe since the CWC.

It does baffle me why they don't put this on before Smackdown. An hour of fast-paced action to get the crowd even more pumped for SD, instead of giving the crowds stars like Styles/Cena/Miz/Ambrose then expecting them to stay awake for Lince Dorado and Tony Nese. Would anyone really be that arsed if '205 Live' wasn't exactly live?

Makes me wonder about Talking Smack too. Do they just tape this while 205 Live is airing and show it an hour later, or do Renee/Bryan/etc have to hang around for another hour?

  14. I enjoyed the show but having Heyman in character and JBL toeing the company line meant there wasn't much room for any alternative opinion, considering they just shouted the host down every time he tried to make a point anyway. Would be better if the guests were JBL and Bryan or somebody along those lines.

  15. Thought this might be the best place to post this;

I'm looking for a decent chair for gaming/watching films in. It doesn't need any fancy gadgets and it can't be too bulky as it's fitting into a limited space; just something basic yet comfortable. Anyone got any ideas and what sort of price I'd be looking at?

I'm doing some online research anyway but would appreciate any input.

  16. Really enjoyed that Zayn/Strowman match. Strowman is constantly improving and nobody plays the underdog better than Zayn right now. Strong brawl and neither man looks weak coming out of it.

I was certain that the 'lose the belt by DQ or countout' stipulation was just a cheap way to get the US belt off Reigns, so was pleasantly surprised that didn't happen. Can't see him holding two belts going into Mania though so I'm sure he's going to lose it soon. Reigns/Goldberg staredown and the double spear was great.

Foley saying that Chris Jericho should be banned from ringside during Jericho vs Reigns... Has there been a single week since becoming GM he hasn't fucked up or slipped over his lines? Fucking hell, what a state.

  17. That Fatal 4-way was decent. Cien is much better as a heel and I've been enjoying his work lately, and it was the first time I've enjoyed Strong in a match in NXT so far.

Bit gutted about Roode winning just because I wanted him at the Rumble and this indicates that probably won't happen, but it'll be interesting to see what happens with Tye from here. He's lost his 'last chance' matches so many times now, they've either got a big redemption storyline coming up for him or he'll just be shipped to the main roster. I've no faith for him on Raw/SD though, can't see him amounting to any more than Breeze/Vaudevillains level.
