  1. Our pantry where we keep the kitchen utensils is down the hall from our kitchen, so I get everything out ready before I start cooking so I'm not constantly going back and forth. I grab the bowls, pan, grates, all ingredients I need etc, make sure everything is there so I don't need to venture into the pantry again. Then when I've finished cooking, I always realise I've forgot to grab the fucking plates.

Did it again twenty minutes ago making an omelette.

  2. I thought Mark Jindrack's Reflection of Perfection gimmick was gonna take him all the way to the top. I was a stupid child.

I never saw it myself but the IWC was absolutely convinced Ted DiBiase Jr was going to end Undertaker's streak and be a huge megastar.

  3. Yeah, this tournament has opened my eyes to Aja Kong too. Would really like to check out some of her earlier stuff now. The look of disdain she has on her face as she strolls out is a thing of beauty, like shes completely above all this pro wrestling bollocks but is gonna give it a go anyway.

Christ I've seen some ropey booking by fans this morning, matches they want read like a shit ppv on 2K.

    WWE championship Miz vs Morrison

    UNIVERSAL REIGNS vs Cesaro (wins)

IC Big E vs Apollo (wins)

Anyway, if Lashley is going to mania as WWE champion then I'd have kept the US title on him, more gold the better to make him look legit.

Roman wins too much!!! was all over FB when I opened it, and that's why he's above the rest of the roster, is it the ROH affect that alot of fans don't like winners or dominant guys anymore, they blame 50/50 booking for no stars but want RR to go 15 on smackdown with Otis so everyone can shine.

Why are you constantly whinging and moaning about fans opinions? Genuine question. Almost every single one of your posts is about how stupid fans are or why they're wrong, or daft shit you've read on Facebook/Youtube/Twitter. Why do you care so much? And why do you feel the need to go on about it on here where most of the opinions you argue against don't exist?

Lastly, how is WWE teasing their fanbase with a Reigns vs Bryan program then taking it away to do Reigns vs Edge "fans getting something stuck in there head"?

  5. Is there really that much name value in the Wrong Turn franchise to justify rebooting it? It just seems like such an odd franchise to reboot. They could've made the exact same film and just called it something different and nobody would've batted an eyelid. It's not like the lost in the woods genre is original to this series.

  6. Another round-up of 2021 releases I've watched the past few weeks;

Synchronic started really well but like a lot of these type of sci-fi films, loses its way a lot towards the end and seems to break its own rules (disclaimer, I could just be thick). Anthony Mackie is as great as ever though. Greenland is a terrific nail-biter of a disaster film and further proof that Gerard Butler doesn't deserve the amount of shit he gets from mutants like Mark Kermode and their ilk. Morena Baccarin too, jesus christ that woman is attractive. Malcolm & Marie seemed a bit 'screenwriter trying too hard' but both performances were fantastic and it gave me PTSD to never-ending arguments with the ex so job done in that regard, I guess.

I saw Bliss on my list of watched films and it took me a good minute to remember what it was, which says it all. For the record it's a shit faux-reality sub-Matrix piece of bollocks that bored the shite out of me. One to avoid. PVT Chat was a strange low-budget indie film that could've veered into generic stalker territory but was a little more interesting than that. I wasn't really enjoying the first half hour but by the end I was gripped. I'd seen Barb And Star Go To Vista Del Mar described as Hot Rod meets Bridesmaids and while it could never live up to that tag, it was entertaining enough. A little over-long though. Jamie Dornan should do more like this, it's the first time I've enjoyed him.

News Of The World and Palmer are both predictable 'man looks after child' films which have been done hundreds of times before, but when they're done well who cares? Both of them get by on the likeability of their leads and are well-told stories. Seeing Tom Hanks in a western made me smile. And I'm stunned Justin Timberlake hasn't done more over the last 10 years. Lastly To All The Boys: Always And Forever was a nice enough end to the trilogy, although it's quite a feat that they managed to drag three films out of a relationship where not a lot happens.

  7. I'm still a fan of Cody, although he has definitely cooled since his red-hot feuds this time last year. I don't mind his matches going long as I tend to enjoy them, and they're usually booked in a way that make sense. The Avalon match was going to be a one-move deal but he got distracted then kicked in the dick, during other matches commentary has mentioned he's overlooked his opponent or not been focused which has justified the length. Just little details like that which make sense. It's a far cry from Omega/CIMA and Page/Sabian matches going 25 minutes for no reason other than 'epic' in the early AEW days.

The Nightmare Family is meant to be an MMA-inspired training group more than a pro-wrestling faction, I reckon, so the fact they've not done a great deal together doesn't bother me.

I think he's struggling now because he's in a vague feud with somebody not on the show, so he has to do all the lifting himself, but they've not even bothered to explain why there's Cody/Shaq beef anyway. So the feud is ice cold. He'd have been much better off making up the numbers in the Team Taz feud leading to a 6-man at Revolution with Hobbs, and I reckon that's what they had in mind until the timings with the Shaq feud got in the way.

He'll be fine going forwards though. Once the Shaq stuff is over, he's the kind of guy who is only one good promo away from being a big deal again.

And did no one tell Matt Hardy that he signed a different contract over the past week? It was nice to see The Dark Order make the save for Page, though.

Spears (speaking of which, where is he??)

I thought Matt Hardy knew that he'd signed a different contract and was acting dumb, waiting for Adam Page to show his hand and explain what the contract was before going on the attack. That's why Isiah Kassidy was in the mascot suit, all part of the ruse.

Spears did a "I'm not getting the respect I deserve" promo a few weeks back and walked out.

I really enjoyed this show. Serena Deeb vs Riho was a cracker, the main event was fun and seeing Sting get physical was a nice change of pace too. The tag title match was building nicely too until Matt fucking up the pin break towards the end took the wind out of its sails.

  9. The face/heel waters in the NXT mens division have been muddied for a long time, probably since they did that weird Gargano heel turn that wasn't really a heel turn on Aleister Black. It's the main thing that keeps me from investing properly in it. When I do catch it, for the most part I have no idea who I'm supposed to root for. Outside of a few notable examples like Keith Lee and Drake Maverick, it seems filled with guys that are either heels or faces so unlikeable they may aswell be heels. Especially towards the top of the card. It doesn't help that the wrestlers personas either boil down to spooky goth or super serious tough guy either. Or in the case of Karrion Kross, both of those things.

  10. Dark was cracking last night. 12 matches in an hour and some proper squash matches in there too. Hopefully it follows this format more going forwards, as Jurassic Express, Starks and Hobbs all came out of this episode looking incredible compared to previous weeks where almost every match is a back and forth affair and nobody stands out. Loved it.

Or, Undisputed Era arrive on the main roster later this year as a faction and they act like nothing happened.

The classic 'Gargano & Ciampa team up on Monday nights and are feuding on Wednesday nights' move.

    Lee and the dog.

You know how every family has ways of doing things that don't make sense to anyone else? I'm fascinated by the way they give the dog his dinner. Sliding the plate along the floor like it's the curling world finals.

I watched Saint Maud. After all the hype I was quite disappointed. Well made and all that, but it wasn't scary, creepy or particularly engaging. Definitely a good film in there somewhere but it was a bit meandering.

I was exactly the same. I think I would've enjoyed it more if I'd watched it upon release, but after having people (whose opinion I usually hold in high regard) tell me it's outstanding and seeing it finish high in a fair few year-end lists, I was quite underwhelmed.

I watched Possessor a few weeks beforehand which didn't seem to get half as much praise, and enjoyed it a lot more, so it's probably just a case of overly high expectations. I'll definitely rewatch Saint Maud a few years down the line and see how it holds up then.

Is it even a stable? Just seems to a collection of scrubs (not including Dustin obviously) that Cody likes.

I don't think it's meant to be a proper stable. I just see it as a group of lads who all train together and can team up when needed. It's basically just an endorsement that Cody (and AEW) sees something in a lower-card guy right now.

Sod that. My definition of cool doesn't stretch nearly far enough to include "Make A Difference Fatu playing dominoes with Henry Godwinn".

Comparing the size of my knife with the rest of the Bash Street Kids is definitely my idea of cool.

The Waiting Room segment on Dark this week is gold. Insane sexual chemistry between Ricky Starks and Britt Baker and an extremely jealous Tony Schiavone.

I really hope they go down a Baker/Starks relationship route based on this one segment alone. Skits with Ricky trying to pull Britt while protective dad Tony tries to cockblock him sound amazing.

You should get a Letterboxd, you don't have to do reviews on it, just log what films you watch.

I've got one and I follow you!

I do tend to keep a rough record of what I've watched but my problem is I have a terrible memory and can look at something I watched 10 months ago and not really remember what I enjoyed or didn't enjoy, or how I felt about it beyond like/dislike. At least by putting a few notes next to each film it should help jog my memory come year end.
