She's exactly the kind of bland generic Barbie that Fox/Sky News weaponise to make Billy-Bob hard for hating everyone who isn't Billy-Bob.

With all the discussion of middlingly attractive right wing monsters has anyone else mentioned Tomi Lahren, America's favourite Evil Cheerleader?

That Leia scene is the only quibble I have with the whole film.Â
I've seen people complaining that Luke 'goes out like a bitch' and I can only assume that they're absolute fucking idiots to be honest. That Force projection is the single most powerful use of the Force seen in 8 movies and dickheads are complaining that Luke doesn't do anything in the film.

Anyone given the new Quicksand album a go yet?

The hilarious thing is that most of the whinging seems indicative of an inability to understand or even just watch the movie.
The Finn and Rose subplot serves as a thematic counterpoint to Poe's story in that it's about giving him reasons to stand and fight as opposed to Poe who needs to learn when and how to fight. It all also plays heavily into the films second theme which is the idea of the spark of rebellion.Â
The bitching that people are doing regarding Snoke completely ignores the fact that we knew absolutely nothing about the Emperor after Jedi for nearly 15 years.
The fact that it's THE MIDDLE OF THE STORY seems to have passed people by as well. It's a miracle it's as concise as it is to be fair.
Also, can you imagine what would've happened if David Lynch had actually accepted the offer of Return of the Jedi?Â
-
I loved it.
I think a lot of the bitching is tied into the nature of fanboyism. People who feel ownership of the stories just objecting to the fact that they haven't been given the exact story they've been writing in their head the last two years.
That said Leia Poppins was fucking pony, wasn't it?

All I needed from this segment was James Drake's 'Choo Choo'.

They'll swap a belt out between now and Survivor Series. I'd say there's a half decent chance that one of the women's belts changes hands in the interim.
They did the same thing with the IC/ US title match last year.

There were at least two lasses on the Mae Young classic who could do what Nia Jax does, but better.
It really would be the dumbest thing possible if she's trying to throw her weight around just months after WWE showed how many options they have going forward.Â
-
They've just announced a 1700 capacity show in Manchester for next year! Victoria Warehouse.Â
No doubt it won't suit some people but fuck it, I might actually be able to make a show next year!

There's a good chance that with Joey Janella involved there was some form of ridiculous shenanigans leading up to it. I'm not saying it justifies that spot but my first response watching that was 'Well of course Janella was the other guy!'

Was trying to recall where I heard that, and I remembered it was from a Madden column in the Torch, so was probably just Madden being an uppity prick. The story was that Jacobs was there to convince guys that NXT was the land of milk and honey and that WWE were serious about changing up.Â
Also Jimmy's only 33 so if he can get back in ring shape, he'd be a great hand with a few years left in him.

I'm all for a return of The Barbaric Berzerker, I'd fell out with wrestling by the time he was doing the weird Emo thing, but tiny Jimmy thinking he was Bruiser Brody was one of my favourite parts of early ROH.
Wasn't the rumour abound that he was only hired because Trips wanted to poach a bunch of ROH guys, specifically Lethal and the Briscoes? If that was the case he did alright to keep a job as long as he did.

Because heaven forbid, anyone have a difference of opinion or political standing in the modern world

It's ok to have a difference of opinion. It's also ok to decide that you don't want to support a company that funds or benefits from something you don't agree with.
People buy ethically sourced clothing and food. If they feel strongly enough about it, why wouldn't they do the same with wrestling?

If enough people did it would.

Surprised to see no mention of the injury to Takayama recently. Paralysed from the neck down due to a sunset flip of all things. Bad times.

He's doing a lot of live shows, under his real name, Marcel Barthel.
Suggests he's waiting on his new name before moving up to TV. Fabian Aichner is also doing the live show circuit.

I don't mind Nigel as part of a 2 man booth. Thought he was good with both JR and Cole when actually calling the matches. He needs to stop telling me how all the Brummie lads had rough childhoods and that Wolfgang works in a pub though. Percy Watson seems to solely exist to make David Otunga sound like Bobby Heenan by comparison.
Super happy to have Mauro back, ditch Watson and we'll be golden.

I've seen Ohno in the flesh, of which there is, admittedly, quite a lot and trust me, you wouldn't feel quite so brave in person. He looks like a fucking Viking and puts his stuff in VERY convincingly. Although he's obviously not in the same shape as McIntyre, he's in there with him as one of the 3 most physically intimidating wrestlers I've seen at shows.

Injustice 2 is rammed with single player content if you can get away with the game engine. Although the arcade mode is hidden away, it is there.
A very rare full price purchase for me and well worth it.

I think they're gonna give Jinder Zayn after this. It was Sami he screwed out of the title shot and they seem to be sowing the seeds of the perennial underdog story. Sami gets the Mysterio run with the title before dropping it to Corbin or something equally ridiculous.

1. Ditch the purple ropes.
2. Have some crossing over, even if it's in vignettes. They've referenced Tozawa and Crews being best friends before. Use that. Shit, put them in a damn tag team.Â
3. Let them work their style. There's the constant rumour of Ricochet coming in. He'd be a star, if they let him be Ricochet. If not he's just some guy not working New Japan anymore which is a waste for everyone involved.

And now there's a bunch of people kicking off because now that Progress have got a bigger, nicer hall to run their big show out of, it's still not good enough/ too expensive/ seats aren't wholly allocated.
Blimey, it'd be nice to get to a Progress show about now. Manchester seems to sell out before it goes on sale. If I could get to one show this year it'd be worth paying a bit more to get there.

The GLOW documentary is up on Netflix now. Pretty emotional stuff if that's your cup of tea.
So if I'm not mistaken it looks like Alison Brie is playing an analogue of Lisa Moretti/ Ivory, right?

They've probably put the belts on them so they've got a proven pair of workers to carry longer matches for the next couple of TakeOvers.
Also I agree with Malvo that they've got the chicken shit heel stuff down pat.
That said Kyle O'Reilly's face needs to calm the fuck down though!
