Yea she went full time with Stardom and didn’t get released from AEW due to a bad attitude.

They’re not even a couple anymore are they?

She wasn't seen as being valuable enough to pay whilst doing nowt, same as Sadie Gibbs.

I  can'timagine giving their top female a concussion after about 40 seconds in an AEW ring and potatoing Sadie Gibbs at her earliest convenience did her any favours though.

  2. I seem to remember Kendrick having or planning his own conspiracy theories show, years ago. It was certainly reported on at the time, but was dismissed as, 'Fucking hell, keep Spanky off the hallucinogens' level bollocks.

Obviously when he signed for WWE he kept quiet about it, as did everyone else. I always assumed he got clean, realised he was being a loon and moved on. Might be right, might be wrong. Might not matter in this thread.

Edit. It was a shoot on Highspots called 'The Kendrick Theory'. Dude is/was a fucking loon. Bottom line, people knew this shit for years.

  3. Just finished Leviathan Falls, the last Expanse novel. I've been an Expanse book wanker since Leviathan Wakes was in the 3 for 2's at Waterstones so it's a really bittersweet moment for me to put the story down after 9 years.

I can't recommend the series enough. It's testament to the Authors' planning and confidence that they stick the ending so well.

I want Danhausen to think that Sting is the singer with facepaint on, constantly singing 'Roxanne' at him and asking questions about concerts.

I want someone to steal Danhausen's jar of teeth and Danhausen go to Sting for help 'cause he used to be in The Police.

  5. He apparently didn't endear himself to people when he did a tour over here a few years back. At least a couple of people who complained about him, notably Gallagher and Ligero, have since been exposed as being shits themselves, though.

  6. Eurogamer have reported that before the buyout became a possibility that Bobby Kottick was considering buying out Kotaku and Pc Gamer to 'Change the Narrative' on Activision/Blizzard.

Kotaku and Pc Gamer haven't commented, Activision have denied.

  7. I know he's a big star, but surely the point of CM Punk is that he's old, was away for years and should, by all rights, be a bit shit but scrapes by on being wily. They've been telling that story for months. It makes sense for both stories that, that match was telling that Wardlow dominate Punk.

They've also previously established that it's MJF and not AEW that Wardlow is contracted to, so nothing in that match didn't make sense.

We know that Punk is at heart a massive prick, so that moment of hubris with flipping off MJF leading into the powerbombs made perfect sense.

Punk wanted to tell interesting stories that weren't being done in WWE. I'd rather this than the equivalent of a Goldberg run.

I also take issue with the idea that he isn't elevating the company. He's presently in a feud with their biggest homegrown star and just basically put over their nascent monster baby face. He's putting eyes on the long term future of the company, he should be applauded for it.

  8. By all accounts Scythe is pretty straightforward. I've only played the kids version, but my best mate loves it. I've always assumed that like a lot of Stonemaier stuff it's accessible but pulls people in by being a bit production porny.

Speaking of kids versions of games, we got Kids Chronicles: Quest for the Moonstones the other day and it's ace. It's convinced me that I need to get one of the Chronicles of Crime or Destinies games.

  9. Trippier's leagues better than our other full backs, wants to be closer to home, is a la Liga winner and a highly ranked international.

He's also a proof of concept. Tellingly since Trippier was unveiled, Sven Botman has changed his tune and is now publicly courting a transfer. That's one of the big ones for us, we need at least two good CB's.

I haven't talked to one Newcastle fan that legit thinks we're getting M'bappe level signings in the next two windows, but everyone else keeps telling us that's what we're after. We know there's a bigger chance of us going down than the alternative, but hopefully we can make it interesting.

  10. That moonsault wasn't a table issue. It was a Penelope Ford being inaccurate issue. She manages to land both short and over the leg of the table/right on Conti's face, where the table is going to be stronger.

Almost as bad is that she basically Pie Faces herself on the apron.

Hopefully those 4 are done with each other, because that feud has stunk.

  11. It's just incredibly cringe, especially since Cody was the one who started calling AEW a Revolution in Pro-Wrestling.

Fast forward a couple of years and Cody is literally playing the character of WWE's worst excesses. This t-shirt is basically a smarkier rip on Roman Reigns', 'I'm not a good guy, I'm not a bad guy, I'm THE guy', schtick from 3 years ago.

He cut a promo on a Road To, I think, a few weeks ago where he went on about if he was TNT Champ that it would mean he'd have to be better than the AEW Champ because he has to be the face of the company. I've a horrible feeling that they're gonna lean into that and have Cody goad whoever the main champ is at the time into challenging him, which Cody will win, and I'll chuck a shoe through me telly.

Bugger all at Fan Boy 3 that I’ve not already got.  The owner was holding court as usual, ranting about Amazon and Zatu, so I didn’t hang around.  Travelling Man has ditched the normal Sale, and has gone the 20% off everything route.  Picked up the latest character packs for Marvel Champions and Under Falling Skies.

Played Arnak today.  Seems a lot of fun, but lots to do in it and not enough time to do it in.

It was Asmodee and Waterstones when I was in! Seriously though, he doesn't look well.

Travelling Man are waiting til New Year to do a proper sale, apparently. I went in today looking for Under Falling Skies, guess I know who to blame that I didn't get it!

  13. If The Good Brothers have been terrible since leaving New Japan, no one should want a K.E.S. reunion in AEW. As dull and perfunctory a tag team as you'd ever wish not to see.

I can't think of a duller wrestler than Harry Smith.

I got Lost Ruins of Arnak and Alien:Fate of the Nostromo.  Played Alien yesterday so, great but very easy.  There are some rules to boost the difficulty that i will indulge in.  Set Arnak up, but just the punching and set up took 90 minutes so all set up for me to play when I get home from Town , where I am Hoping to get some more gamey bargains.

They were setting up the sale table at Traveling Man on Christmas Eve. There's usually some interesting stuff for me and my daughter, dunno about crunchier stuff though. Fanboy 3 looked very well stocked over Christmas, so there might be some daft stuff there as well!

We didn't get my daughter any board games this year, because we finally folded on a Switch and a couple of years ago we got properly stung by the post Christmas sales.

Thank you for reminding me of the garbage match Omega had with Janela as well! If Cody had done that he'd be raked over the coals for it.

So the issue isn't that the Omega/Mox and Andrade/Cody situations are the same, but rather you don't like hardcore wrestling or Kenny Omega?

  16. 1 minute ago, gmoney said:

It was a psychology free turd of a match, their first meeting no less.

Respectfully disagree. Please explain how there was no psychology to it? Moxley had struck Omega at his lowest ebb, after the defeat to Jericho at the company's first show, and then humiliated him on the first Dynamite by giving him his finisher through a glass(!) table. Thus starting  Omega's insecurities and leading into the story of Omega trying to outdo Moxley at his own game, going as far as destroying another noted hardcore wrestler, Joey Janela, on Dark. The match very much played into that story, there was a definite psychology to it. It also played into the ongoing story of Omega's descent. There was history and pay off. Moxley was Omega's bogeyman that he had to cheat to vanguish.

Cody and Andrade weren't even feuding.

How's the flaming table thing any different to Omega and Moxley throwing themselves through barbed wire mesh and glass in their lights out match? That was also thoroughly unearned.

Moxley half murdered Omega at Double or Nothing and the first episode of Dynamite starting the story of Kenny losing his way, which included the wrinkle of Kenny trying to prove himself by being more violent than noted death match wrestler, Moxley. Kenny and Mox was a cornerstone feud over the first 18 months of AEW through which barbed wire was a recurring feature.

Cody was feuding with Malakai Black, Andrade was feuding with Pac. One week on Dynamite and Rampage the 4 randomly start interfering in each others matches. The next thing you know Cody's putting Andrade through a FLAMING TABLE, a week after they sort of started something, but not really. That's worse than anything he even attempted to do to Black, who he'd been battling for months!

    It's night and day.
