  1. Uso’s match was awful. 11 minutes of shite and drama class bullshit. Samantha Irvin (also terrible) introducing Lil Wayne as the greatest rapper of all time. Huh?!

Ladder match had its moments but these multi man ladder matches have been done to death. Truth was a gem though.

The LWO vs Santos and Dom match was fun. But

    Spoiler

Could it have killed them for Dom to go over on Rey?

Zayn vs Gunther was match of the night. Loved the finish.

I checked out of the main event at the halfway mark. Good they had a tag match for The Rock as he didn’t look anywhere near as fucked as he did the last time he properly wrestled against Cena. But it was underwhelming.

Night 1 didn’t feel like a Wrestlemania. Hoping Night 2 delivers. Should all be good matches except that six man street fight and I’m sure AJ can carry Knight to something decent. With only six matches on tonight’s card, Cody and Roman are going an hour. I can feel it.

Why doesn't wwe do an event at Wembley? Aew had 73000 at all in surely wwe could make a lot of money.

Because it’s likely AEW have a contract with Wembley as the only wrestling that can be put on there. That’s why they are there again this year.

Is there a paid for service which streams the 90s AJPW stuff? Id be more than happy to pay a monthly subscription for that, rather than dig around my external hard drives for a pixelated .wmv file of the matches.

There are some playlists on YouTube. There is a collection of Miracle Violence Connection tag matches. Reddit usually has links to other sites or external hard drives for AJPW. Just google All Japan Reddit and best matches or something of similar ilk.

  4. Watched the Terry Gordy episode last night. Of course, I never saw him in his prime as it was too early for me. But years back I got into his All Japan stuff and then became obsessed with watching his matches and seeing just how good he was and he became a favourite of mine. Such a sad story. Seeing the difference in his eyes post coma and seeing how lost he was was horrible. And that RF video shoot where he was just vacant. It was a surprise he could still do it in the ring. But as Cornette said, the body was there, he could do the moves, but there was nothing behind it. Really good episode but just sad.

I think the Beefcake episode aired last night. I don’t know much about what could be dark about him besides the anthrax scare with his bag of coke.

Wonder how Stan Hansen would've done as well?

He would’ve been over imo. Although my opinion is slightly biased as he’s one of my all time favourites. I know he’d probably be more suited to New Japan and more so AEW due to the type of matches they have and the violence and chaos he brings (he would tower over most of them), but he would’ve been a great monster heel in WWE. Imagine him and Brock beating the shit out of each other.

Being biased again, but I could’ve seen Terry Gordy in the same vain. A big beefy bastard who could’ve been a top monster heel in WWE if the timing was right.

  6. Went to see Imaginary today, the latest Blumhouse Productions film. An absolute load of shit of a movie. It had potential but was bogged down with a lot of nonsense and the fact it was very boring. The big “monster” looks absolutely ridiculous and not scary in the slightest. And there was hardly any screen time for the handsome Tom Payne. I fell asleep for the last 15 minutes. My girlfriend thinks she knows how it ends, she went on her phone.

Only positive I would give it is the performance from Pyper Braun who played the young girl who has the imaginary friend. She was really good, particularly in one scene with the psychiatrist.

  7. Geoff Marshall, the train guy, posted a video the other day where he done every bus route in London. Not as good as his train series, but enjoyable enough for the dull man.

  8. I think his attitude is fine. Compared to how Leighton Bennett was when he first came onto the scene, he’s still quite humble. I think there’s a lot of bitterness and jealousy from players. Ricardo Pietreczko got the arse with him the other day when he was going for the unusual out shots and confronted him on stage after. And Kryztof Ratajaski, who’s already slow, slowed down even more to put him off. So if he has some arrogance about him, I don’t mind. Some players the arrogance suits them, where as others come across as cunts (Price, Smith).

And Barney is a soft shite weirdo anyway. So I don’t blame Littler for ignoring him (I’m aware my display pic is Barney but that moment was hilarious).

I love his confidence to go for unusual out shots in particular.

Same. I’m a big mark for alternative routes which he does. I love doing it in the pub league as some chalkers have no idea other than the routes they learnt when they first started.

Tbf I would've loved to hear an interveiw with Shitler, to get an explaination for the atrocities he committed. What possessed him.

Yeah he would’ve done great on the Graham Norton Show. He would’ve got to the bottom of it.

What's the general attitude about men and women competing (or not) in darts? I've recently been watching the odd video here and there, and can't get much of a bead on what the discussion is like about Fallon Sherrock or Anastasia Dobromyslova, etc.

The women in the PDC do have their own separate series and Matchplay event. Same in the WDF (fka the BDO). But they can qualify for the men’s PDC events and compete in WDF opens. The women’s game is only really starting to pick up so discussion is still a bit light. There’s not much money in it atm because there is a difference in the quality. And quality goes by averages. The women generally hit low averages and no one wants to watch a game like that no matter the sex. It’s the same with the men who try to get a tour card and in the opens in the WDF.

There are only a few are really good female players. Beau Greaves, who will defintiely win something big in the “men’s” game as she’s too good for where she’s competing now. Fallon is hit and miss and can’t seem to win a tour card. But she’s incredible when on form. Lisa Ashton is another. Anastasia is more or less finished now as a top player. There is still a huge sexist attitude in the game in general. Especially when one of the women has a terrible game against a man. And it trickles down to county and even pub league. I’ve played and lost to many women. And I only get the hump if I’ve played shit. But a lot of men can’t handle it no matter how good the player is.

There is a trans female player now in the WDF. You can imagine the comments. I don’t have to say what’s been said by sections of the fans about why she shouldn’t be competing in the women’s game. They don’t even want her in the men’s. But she’s a good player and getting better. And if she makes it to the PDC, I dread to think the reaction will be when more people know about her. Because a lot of attitudes won’t change.

  11. That’s good to know. Tbf, it’s been a few years now since I last saw them. I just remember being disappointed by his vocals in an otherwise great show.

I bought tickets to see Anthrax later this year, are they still any good live?

Joey Belladonna struggles a bit these days. The rest of the band are still great.
