Either way his QI exit was played down. Maybe the Beeb was pissed because he quit the show.
-
It was a bit of a lacklustre exit after 13 series. Probably Fry didn't want any fuss.

8 Out of 10 Cats is returning with 2 new team captains Rob Beckett and Aisling Bea. Nothing against those two but I can't imagine Cats without Sean Lock. But the good news is that Sean and Jon are sticking around to captain Cats Does Countdown.Â
Â
Maybe this has something to do with the fact that their Countdown show has turned out to be more popular than their original panel show.
Â
Also QI returns next Friday with new host Sandi Toksvig.

You need to fuck off talking about last night's SD outside of the Smackdown thread. This is the second time you've done this.
-
I know HIAC matches aren't the novelty they once were but WWE are doing a pretty good job of helping fans overlook that PPV in order to get to Survivor Series for that main event of Goldberg V Lesnar.Â
-
I didn't care for No Mercy at all. It came across like an average episode of Smackdown Live that had been extended. Was there really need to show that video package of Orton V Wyatt twice on the PPV? These SD PPVs are like Network specials.

It's funny watching David scrutinize the guests. It's amazing how funny Lee is on WILTY but when you throw him into a sitcom like Not Going Out he's fucking terrible. I don't get why the BBC recommissions that shite every year or at least make a Xmas special.
Â
I've always liked the team of Jimmy, Sean and Jon on Cats too.Â
-
Surely with most panel shows the bigger named celebs would cost more. Like you could probably get 2 Rob Beckett's for the price of 1 Jimmy Carr.
-
Not really. Pretty much every person to appear on MtW has been well known by knowledgeable fans of comedy prior to their appearance. It's not as if the likes of Hugh Dennis, Gina Yashere, Rory Bremner, Ed Byrne and so on were obscure before appearing.
Â
I'm not talking about those comedians that people are obviously familiar with, I'm talking about guys like Ed Gamble and Sara Pascoe's boyfriend.
-
Mock the Week is a well known source for giving lesser known comedians a push.
-
I can see Naomi step in and have a match with Bliss just for the hell of it.
-
Apparently Becky Lynch has been pulled from No Mercy tonight due to injury.
-
So if you're not bothered about other promotions such as ROH and having your say on who goes into next years HOF I'm sure most will just stick with the 9.99 a month.
-
I'm actually surprised that they aren't moving all the PPVs over to the 14.99 plan.
-
You can't chat about a classic Friday night schedule without a mention of Bottom and Game On.Â
-
Everyone seems to have the same opinion about the show falling apart after MJF left. Some would also say bringing Heather Locklear in didn't help either. Sure she's good eye candy but always been an awful actress.
-
TV on Friday's are great at the moment you have Would I Lie To You, Have I Got News For You, Mock The Week and The Last Leg. I love comedy panel shows.
-
I think it's fair to say that karma has since slapped JR in the face.Â
-
King of Sports needs to go on Jericho's list after that. Overreact ? Just a bit.
-
I just watched Bret V Shawn Greatest Rivalries again. Throughout the 2 hour interview you can see the pure hatred that Bret still feels towards Shawn. I never get tired of watching this. I think I've watched it about 6 or 7 times now.
-
Jamie Noble recently posted pics on social media of his stab wounds also.Â
-
Complete RAW 2008 & 2009 just added to the network
Â
Seriously who would want to watch 2009 again? I thought that was a terrible year in WWE. The cherry on the cake was them trying to make DX work under a PG format.Â
-
I wish they'd add some new documentaries. Hoping they add the Owen Hart one soon.
Â
The Owen documentary was nothing that you probably haven't seen or heard. Martha wouldn't allow WWE access to anything from his family life to be included as she wanted nothing to do with it. Bret said in an interview that Martha pretty much sabotaged the making of this documentary.
-
I think Goldberg V Ryback could've been a decent storyline with a heel Ryback claiming to be better than Goldberg. Bit of a missed opportunity on WWE's part.
What have you been watching on (proper scripted) telly?

Yeah it seems the full series of QI is recorded before it even airs. Toksvig has already recorded her full series too.
