Wait. So, sign up for the Network for $9.99 (or use one of a plethora of free trial codes), cancel before end of 30 days. Or just Survivor Series (assume it's a one and done, no replays), for $24.99. Internet PPV.
Someone want to try to explain the business sense behind this for me? Or is it a case that every one of those will be pure profit/supplementary?

I recevied an email yesterday offering me a free month (I have been a subscriber since the first day the Network launched in the US) when I clicked on it, I received an error message. A few hours later I received a further email apologising as the email was sent in error, so I am guessing they had a few issues with emails sent over the last 24-48 hours.

Regarding Arnie, although I would not be surprised if his name was mentioned at some point in the future. I would have thought that something like that would have been brought up during his tenure as Governor of California, especially after a few came forward with such allegations when he was campaigning.

Ted Robbins had a heart attack on stage a few years back, probably what made you think he was dead.
I'm always mildly surprised to hear that Ken Dodd is still going. And Rolf, considering his time at Her Majesty's Pleasure.
Ken Dodd is still performing on a nightly basis as well, which is some achievement considering he is 90.
The other week me and my parents were talking bout Victoria Wood and I was certain her ex husband; Geoffrey Durham died about 10 years ago, so was quite surprised to see he was still alive and in fact had stepped back from performing in 2006.

Is anyone having issues trying to add programming to the watchlist?
I am using the iPad app and I am receiving the "unable to add" message, my watchlist then disappears from the main screen. I have reinstalled the app, yet it is still happening.

Brigsby Bear - I went into this film only knowing the synopsis, which is a bit vague to say the least. By the end of the film I was hooked. I thought it was original, moving and thoroughly enjoyable.

Last I heard they was not on the best of terms with each other, but like previous posters have said, could just be a work. With Hogan it's like the boy who cried wolf.
Will probbly look to read the book at some point. Didn't Brutus once cause an evacuation on a Subway in the 2000's? I seem to remember reading that he left a load of cocaine at the ticket booth where he was working and someone believed it was anthrax.

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, I do not know why I do it to myself. Everyone in the franchise I have watched and thought "No more" then when a new one is released, I watch it with the anticipation that it might be good, only to be somewhat unfulfilled and The Final Chapter was no different.

if they had know Lucas was going to offer up Lucasfilm in the near future, I'm sure Avatar would have been a no go. I know Pandora has had good reviews but it's taken far too long for what it's done and we're still 2 years away from a new Avatar movie. Pandora would have been Endor. Lots of rumours for a Zootopia/tropolis make over in AK as well now. Hopefully replacing that Dino land area.
Are you aware that originally Animal Kingdom was going to be Beastly Kingdom before Eurodisney bombed. Budget cuts scrapped it and the imagineers working on that concept took it to universal where it was re-jigged and gave them duelling dragons?
Beastly Kingdom was going to be a section of the park, ironically where Avatar stands today. The logo and car park area of Animal Kingdom still feature the Dragon as a nod to Beastly Kingdom.

Surely they've digitised everything by now? I don't mean edited and ready to go on the network, but do they really have stuff still sitting on tape?
Most of Prime Time and even WWF Challenge have been digitised for some time, as they was featured on Classics on Demand (Believe even SKY Sports showed some Challenge episodes).
My view on the network, as much as I enjoy WCCW, I am hopeful that they do vary the Classic Content a bit as it has been the focus of the Classic Content for the last three months (I am aware of the rumours regarding lawsuits etc.), but I realise they cannot please eveyone. One thing to remember is that the Network is still a relatively new service and platform. Furthermore, taking into consideration the amount of hours worth of programming they have already added since its launch, it is quite an achievement and I can only imagine the amount of wrestling available on the network in say, the next 5 years.

As much as I love the promotion, this WCCW drop has been going on forever.

Fantastic work Daz, you look great.

From September 1st, Talking Pictures TV are doing a season of Laurel & Hardy films. It's the first time they've been shown on UK TV in over a decade. It will include features and also some of their shorts.
Think Blockheads, is the first one to be aired. Seen it plenty of times and have it on DVD but will still be watching!

Would like to thank everyone who has recommended films in this thread, I have seen some right belters, which usually I would not think of watching/recording.
cheers!

I got a new Samsung TV a few weeks ago and found out that the WWE network doesn't work on a lot of new models. I decided to download the app again at the weekend and it looks as if there's a been an update recently and it works. Might be worth giving it a go if you had the same problem.
Ive always found that the WWE app doesnt perform well on the Samsung TV, I usally end up putting it on through my PS4 if I want to watch anything downstairs, will delete the app and give that ago (although it does state I am using the most recent version of the app).

For those interested, B&M had the Four Horseman figure collection in store today for £19.99. Believe they were Target exclusives in America, so unsure if they have ever been widely available in the UK previously?

I think people understand the statement, it's just that people think its a horrid statement.
Also you using the word 'comeback' suggests you were waiting for a response... were you expecting a thumbs up?
The last few pages have suspected and acknowledged that she seems to be vulnerable and that people are taking advantage. So your 'tongue in cheek' statement wasn't great Abe.
Anyway, as before, if she didn't give permission, it's shit that she (or anyone) is subject to this kind of invasion of privacy.
Point taken.
I agree totally that she is in a vulnerable position and because of this she is considered an easy target. Apologies for any offence caused, certainly not my intention.

Fuck off
Obviously, you do not understand a tongue in cheek statement.
The level of your comeback also suggests you cannot hold a conversation with someone without resorting to you using keyboard warrior like language.

Will have to check this out.... For research purposes only, of course.

Reason apparently is due to low viewing figures. Although it probably does the same amount of viewers as 205 live.

If I remember correctly index were the first to sell Jakks in 97 or so. I believe Toy Stack was the name of a small chain that I got my last Hasbros. Yellow card Razor Ramon if I remember in the mid 90s
The only place I ever saw the Yellow Carded figures was Childrens World, which I think was a subsidiary of Boots. Think at the time, I ended up getting most of them (if not all) from there. After that it seemed to be very difficult to get the new figures, I remember getting the blue card ones (Marty Jannetty, Giant Gonzalez) from ASDA, which I seem to recall did not stock the earlier the figures.

For those interested MLB.TV is currently $20.17 for the rest of the season as part of 4 July sale. Bargain!

I'm currently listening to Conrad/Prichard podcast on Russo and Bruce is slowly starting to loose his shit about some of the things Russo wrote in his book. Looking forward to hearing the rest.
In a side related matter, I wonder if I am still blocked by Russo on Twitter? Will have to check that one out later.

I've recently sorted out my original N64 and I have decided to start playing Mario 64 again and try and collect all the stars. Think the best I ever did years ago was 71 (without the aid of guide books and the like) so be interesting to see how I do. Currently I am on 11.
