  1. Echo the statements above, a turly horrible and disturbing read.

I can only imagine that when Vince passes away, more stories will be unearthed and this will only be the tip of the iceberg and could very well bring down the company altogether.

  2. Terribly sad news. I liked Ashley and loved her look - I followed her on Twitter and was always nice to fans and always posting pictures of the fan mail she had responded to. As per Rob Lowe's earlier post, I remember the fake Steph tweet. Although she was suckered in (understandable) once she learned it was a joke (and a poor one at that) she took it in her stride and was jovial about it.

    RIP Ashley.

  3. Absolutely horrendous to see. Cannot uderstand why the referee did nothing, even if the company or that referee is not familar with the "X" - common sense should have told him something was wrong, the kick from Juvi was also unnecessary.

  4. Quake use to scare me as a kid and I hated him for squashing Damien and (as I thought at the time) confining Andre The Giant to crutches for the rest of his life.

Years later I used to read the Wrestlecrap forums and he seemed like such a genuine and nice guy and I was incredibly sad to read about what he was going through, as David posted above.

Although it does not mean much in the grand scheme of things, I would love to see him inducted in the WWE Hall of Fame.

I've been doing BodyCombat for 3 weeks and I do quite like it. I would do BodyAttack but they only do classes in the middle of the day which doesn't help me. What's the difference?

That is similar to my gym except the BodyCombat classes are in the middle of the day and the BodyAttack class is at a more convenient time for myself.

There isnt a great deal of difference, not as far as I can tell (haven't done a BodyCombat class for about 12 months so they may have changed) you do a lot of smilar moves in BodyAttack but in my opinon there seems to be a bigger emphasis on dance like moves - but do not let that put you off as I have as much rhythm/movement as an arthritic Crab and I have no issues doing them. As a pervious poster said the tracks used in the classes are rotated every quarter or so and chances are after a while you will notice moves that were used in BodyCombat coming into BodyAttack and vice versa.

I'm getting bored of the gym. It's fine, I just get no positive feeling from it like others seem to. Plus no net benefit. I turned 40 last week so I need to find something. I'm in a "try anything" mood so I did a BodyCombat class last night.

Fuck me, it's intense. An hour of pretty much non stop punching and kicking. I held up OK due to a love of rhythm-action games but I am feeling it today.  I think I enjoyed it? But I'll try another couple of times to see how it goes.

If your gym does it, I would really recommend Les Mills BodyAttack. I prefered it to BodyCombat and seen better results, which I put down to enjoying the class more.

Jaws 2 is on ITV4 tomorrow and it's great. Otherwise, fuck all again.

I really like Jaws 2 and think it is very underrated.

If you have never seen the Jaws 2 making of documentary, I throughly recommend it.

  8. His legacy was tarnished years ago but, I really cannot believe Foley's comments (and juding by the comments on here I am not alone). Here is a man, who has admitted he is in a lot of pain and publically said how he was upset that he could no longer ride rollercoasters anymore due to the injuries he has incurred over the years and then he makes a twat statement like this.

Foley is known for being thrifty with money surely he doesn't need the money? Or is it just a case, (as I expect) that he is just seeking a bit of publicity?

He did look well but didn't move well, if that makes sense? In fairness we should remember that the bloke is 70, lived a manic lifestyle and is lucky to be alive. He was overheard complaining that he was tired and his legs hurt but these kind of events can be a long slog all round, especially by the second day.

That's a very good point and I can imagine the events to be quite draining both physically and mentally. I am sure that I am not alone when I think of Ric Flair I think of and picture the Ric Flair from 1992 Royal Rumble. I never think of people in the limelight becoming older.

I can't see Flair doing many more of these. He looked pretty frail sadly.

That's a shame to hear that. I only thought after Ric put the photo on Twitter of him, Nash, Hall, DiBiase and Wendy over the weekend how good he looked but appreciate that photos do not always tell the full story.

In all honesty, he has done so well to get back on track after the big health scare back in 2017.

  11. It was Superstars that was on a Friday night, believe the start time was 10pm in 1991 up to late 1992. Challenge I believe used to be on a Sunday afternoon. I always preferred Challenge, only because of Gorilla and Bobby though.

Did anyone record Pac Broner on ITV4? Mine only recorded up to round 8!

Mine was the same. However, it is available to download On Demand on SKY, if you wish to see the last four rounds.

  13. What if Summerslam 1992 emanated from Washington DC instead of Wembley?

Would England eventually still receive a big PPV if the WWF had not of ventured over here when they did?

Would the landscape of the WWF change with the original rumoured matches, Bret Hart vs. Shawn Michaels, Warrior vs. Shango etc. or would it have just been the same.

  14. One trivial thing that annoys me is when people say the word "literally" when either it adds absolutely nothing to the sentence or even worse, used in the wrong context.

Example, the other day, someone at work was telling me about her taxi ride home, as the taxi driver had to swerve as some teenagers on bikes literally flew out at them..... What was it, ET?

It seems to be a generation thing, hopefully it passes just as quick as the "good times" phase.

Will the tiered pricing involve charging more for the big 4 events?. I can see them going with the vault/archive material on the lowest tier, other PPVs and big shows (Takeover and such) above that and the premium level content being Rumble, Mania, Summerslam and Survivor Series. A download option would be great but they'd need to really DRM it as otherwise it'll end up all over the internet. Unless there's with like an identifier (e.g. account number)embedded somewhere in the file so if you share it elsewhere they'd know about it.

I suspect if a tiered pricing structure does come into effect, the "big" events will be on the highest tier and will then be added to the other tiers after a certain period of time, similar to how Raw and Smackdown are added to the Network now.
