  1. Just thinking back to when I read the WWE book "My Favourite Match", it was a sweet read, just a few pages from 20 wrestlers documenting their favourite match they had been apart of.

Im pretty sure that it was in HHHs chapter he spoke of the original plans for WrestleMania 26. He states that the original card was going to feature the matches of...

    HHH v Sheamus

    Taker v Drew McIntyre

    HBK v Miz

Its makes sense as at the time Miz was climbing the Raw ranks with the US title and he and Big Show were tag champs aswell. Drew McIntyre was feuding with Kane in the early part of 2010 which woukd segue nicely into a Taker fued. Obviously them 2 of them got scrapped (thank christ) so we got the awesome Taker/HBK sequel.

It got me thinking "when was HBK planning to retire?" if they had kept to the HBK v Miz match?... unless Miz was going to retire HBShizzle at Mania? Na.

Logically it would point to getting another year out of Michaels and doing the Taker sequel at Mania 27, were he would then retire.

    Fascinating stuff.

  2.

The latest 'reports' say he'll be back by Mania, but not Rumble.

Him being surprise 40 in the Rumble would be great in a callback to this year, but probably pointless if he didn't win it.

The surprise 30 or 40th man as it would be in 2015 has been done to death now though, I'd give it a good few years before they go down route again for anybody.

It doesn't sound too good for Bryan really, I wouldn't be holding out hopes he returns in time for Mania either, if he does then great, but at the minute I'm not expecting him to be on the card TBH.

The suprise final entrant hasnt been done since Cena in 2008 (Edge was 29 in 2010).

The last entrant in the past few years has been shite.

    2014- Rey

    2013- Ryback

    2012- Big Show

    2011- Kane

  3. Bit odd that HITC is only less than two weeks away and we only have the 2 Cell matches announced so far, supposedly on Reddit some guy who supposedly has insider news reckons the Bellas will face each other with the stipulation being the loser becoming the winner's PA

Side note, was last night the debut of the Authority's minitron and entrance video? Because up until now from what I've seen Steph and Triple H have been using H's tron haven't they?

Yep spotted that, there was like a dragon on HHH logo thingy too.

  4. A thrown together Cena Orton HIAC match, which the announcers put over as the main event?

If that goes on last it will annoy the shit out of me. Ambrose Rollins is the money fued, that HAS to go on last.

Whise idea was it to put Cesaro on commentary during a long, but enjoyable, match? He got ripped on by all 3 commentators during the match due to his garbage mic work.

Cannot wait for Mizdow to turn on Miz.

Still never understood why they did Mania 15 in such a relatively small venue, surely with them being absolutely on fire with all the mainstream attention they were getting they could've gone for a proper stadium show?

Bear in mind they usually have to book stadiums well over a year in advance, so they may not have realised how big things were going to get post-Tyson.

Still, you'd have to imagine they were making plans for WM2000 at some point during the time of Attitude popularity, yet they still never opted for somewhere with a decent capacity. It's hard to all make sense of.

Stadiums make such a big difference too. Take the Rumble 97 for instance; Ok, they lost a fortune, and had to practically beg people to take tickets off their hands - but the big time feel and visuals, added to the neat theme, all worked wonders, and made for a real memorable event which was great to look at, despite the wrestling being mostly a bit crap.

Shit, was that the only stadium PPV between Wembley and WM17?

Was the Sun Dome they used for the Royal Rumble in 1995 classed as a Stadium?
I recently drove past the Sundome whilst on holiday in Florida this year and it was rather small compared to what I was expecting. Its based on a University campus off the motorway.

I would have said its capacity was no more than 7500 but according to Wikipedia its holds more than 10000.

Im a mark for wrestling arenas/stadiums so spotting the stadium that hosted Mania 24 and the arena in Orlando were Hogan beat Flair the 1st time in WCW was great.

    Found this pretty fascinating stuff.

Vince Russo and Vince McMahon on WWF Livewire, 1996

Love Vince McMahon's reaction to Paul Heyman coming on the phone: "Isn't it true that you're not Bruce?"

    Got him there, Vinny.

Thanks for that link! I had no idea WWF had a show like that! I would have thought a show like that would have run in Attitude Era 1998 but October 1996, crazy! Im suprised they didnt put the Vic Venom character on TV as a manager.

    Mind blowing stuff!
