  1. It's a shame if it has ruined WrestleMania for you personally as there's a lot of entertaining stuff going on and The Rock is putting in a strong shift. He's not half arsing it.

Yes there was a logical story there originally and yes it could have been a lot more straight forward but at some point the majority had to make the decision to let go of that and make the most of what we're getting now.

Fair enough if you don't want to and you want to hold on to the anger a bit but it's not going to change. We are where we are and unless you can build a time machine we're here now.

Plus knowing we could've ended up with something far worse anyway.. yeah, I think the build up we're getting now is a good effort and Mania itself should be another solid one.

  2. So, I'm a bit weird but I don't like butter with crisps so I go in dry. Controversial I know.

I'm usually a roll over sandwich kinda guy too.

Used to just go traditional white but lately I've quite enjoyed a good cheese roll with salt and vinegar crisps. Nice contrast.

Otherwise it's BBQ Hula Hoops and the sliced white Warburtons rolls. They're just the right size. Don't want too big or stuff starts falling out.

Also like to balance it out with some ready salted Squares because I'm greedy.

  3. My daughters are currently obsessed with Nickelodeon shows on Netflix.

They seem to be watching one called Sam and Cat which I'd never heard of, but it seems to have Ariana Grande in it so it's weird to watch.

Hopefully when they run out of this trash I can get them onto Alex Mack, Kenan & Kel and some of the decent cartoons.

  4. Sounded like Ospreay got a sweet deal from what he was saying. Doesn't surprise me AEW made a better offer than WWE. If he can get more money AND a more flexible schedule then it was a no brainer for him.

Does make me laugh when I see people tweeting "oh papa H couldn't sign them!" .. well, there's a difference between couldn't and just didn't want to at a certain level. They'll have their idea of what someone's worth and if AEW are making silly money offers then WWE aren't going to break the bank for Ospreay, Okada or Mercedes. They're people that would be nice to have on the roster but the machine keeps on rolling without them.

Gable has been criminally misused and overlooked for years. He is the one who deserves better. He had a built in underdog story and having him beat Gunther could have created a new popular babyface.

Has he though? Maybe for another topic but it's not like he's had a massive amount of support over the years from fans to the point where WWE desperately needed to do something with him. He's always been capable and obviously talented but he never caught on in an undeniable fashion.

Whether that's him or the booking can be argued. Likely a bit of both if we're honest. He obviously has strengths. And they've finally found something people seem to be into. So if there was any time to push him more it's now. But as far as anything in the past? Less clear cut I'd say.

  6. I see the Mercedes signing as hopefully a statement of intent. I feel like she's got a chip on her shoulder - in a good way - and she'll be pushing Tony in the right direction. I don't see Mercedes as a game changer by herself but she can be a catalyst in bringing that division together and driving it forward. Hopefully.

Well, no. Because the plan for Gunther before the shot going down, had been Brock.

Yeah sorry I think that was my badly worded point. That they'd been building this Chad stuff which was never going to go anywhere anyway. So whatever shit Sami is getting, it's not like he's in the way of some major plan. It was never on the table.

  8. Yeah the "understanding" part is always going to be difficult without the experience and living through a different time etc. That's how I feel about the pronoun stuff and non binary etc. I find it quite confusing but it's not about me. I see the younger generation treating it as a perfectly normal and expected thing just like we would've with male/female. I guess everything's unusual and unfamiliar when it first starts right? Plus there's often an element of fear of the unknown.

I've always tried to be open though even if it's something I don't necessarily "get". Especially now I've got kids. Who knows how they'll feel or what they'll want in the future. But I need them to know that I'll be here and accept them no matter what. I don't want them to be scared of being whoever they want to be and being happy. Everyone deserves that and there's so much judgement in the world.

Admittedly I get a bit more judgey if someone's sexually attracted to a tree or something..  but on the whole I'm accepting of the world and a more progressive and open future. I love seeing people being able to find themselves and a way to exist. It's shit living day after day having to pretend you're something you're not because you live in fear of rejection or disappointing others or whatever it is. I'm sure we've all struggled with ourselves at one point or another.

  9. I do wonder what the plan would've been for Sami if all this other shit hadn't gone down. Brock. Punk. The Rock. All of that. I'm not even sure what his path to Mania would've been if anything. Something with Drew seemed the most logical.

Still don't think Chad would've got his Gunther match anyway. Would they have ever thought that was a worthy Mania match? I doubt it.

  10. I'll be honest - I didn't really care going into it, so I don't think there was anything they were going to do that was going to convince me otherwise.

Best I can say is they've given her the red carpet treatment. They've made her look like a big deal. They've basically given her her own home show to debut on. There's not much more they could've done to make her seem like a special signing, so all credit to them there.

The womens division has been incredibly up and down over the years but they've got a solid roster there so hopefully her signing continues to push it all in the right direction.

But yeah, the CEO thing was annoying me after about a minute so that wasn't a good sign. I think I agree a bit with the 'fake' feeling.

I just couldn't buy into what she was saying. I think the problem was that it was almost booked to mirror the Punk debut and therefore there felt like a stronger element of 'booking' where the Punk one felt more natural. Does that even make any sense? Probably not, sorry. I think this felt like they were trying to replicate something rather than just letting real emotion take over.

  11. Without wanting to go all timey wimey changing history, you have to wonder where Bryan would've ended up if he hadn't been fired at that point. It added a bit extra to his story. I mean obviously he's so fucking good that it probably would've worked out in the end but its an interesting thought anyway.

  12. On a personal level, definitely wish I was more hyped for it but I'm sure it'll be a fun watch anyway. Would be nice if there was something else surprise wise too but I guess we'll see.

The show itself looks pretty solid actually. More looking forward to some of the matches than anything Mercedes related.
