I thought it was one of the crappest films I saw last year. I can see why Michael Mann has practically disowned it.
Â
It's horrible, shit awful junk. If it wasn't by Mann, no-one would care. Might as well have been directed by Manfred Mann.

Watched Ghoulies last night - I'd seen the first sequel many, many years ago - I'm sure I wasn't even 10 at that point, and I remember enjoying it. However, this thing was a really painful waste of my night. It wasn't bad-good, it was just evil. Just about the only thing worth watching for was Michael Des Barres' hambone acting. The puppets get a special award for being embarrassingly bad.

On the political conspiracy side, I just applied for a job with my mate Glenn Beck's organization - that should be a laugh.

This things are always a testament to pat's poor taste. Any money he had Knots Landing as well.

Sorry to disappoint, but I didnt include Highway or Dr Quinn: Medicine Woman either
Â
Well, why would you include a religious magazine programme helmed by Harry Secombe in a top 50 dramas?
Â
He's on first name terms with the Michael Landon show.

I didn't like Bay of Blood either - watch Blood and Black Lace, or Danger: Diabolik. The one area I think that present day reviewers were giving Bava too much credit is in saying that it's a really crimey movie - I know I said it's a heist drama, but I think I overplayed that. It's a lot more similar to the many ripoffs/homages (YMMV) of Last House on the Left, oddly the kind of film that I'm probably most familiar with - odd, because I think that the original is crap, and many of the xeroxes are infinitely better. There's a definite David Hess vibe to 32 and Blades, and it reminds me of Hitch-Hike, with the Hessmeister himself.

Don't let the name put you off

On first impression, I'm expecting them to be boldly conservative.

Watched Mario Bava's lost movie, Rabid Dogs/Semaphoro Rosso (it was the US version, called Kidnapped, which is a slight reedit, apparently. It was blinding - tough, claustrophobic, and very uncompromising. I remember hearing that it was an influence on Reservoir Dogs, although I have no idea how - it's a heist drama, true, but isn't that similar, and I don't think it was even available to watch till 1998.

And Karl Howman. It was a bleak drama masquerading really well as a comedy. There's an outline for season 3, I think, and the cast are still with us. Get on it, guys, Karl Howman can't be that busy.

Mulberry was one of mine

Had completely forgotten about this song, but was reminded by an ad for a fuck-ugly scarf that my wife was laughing at, which was described as "Penguin Styling"

Looks like some sort of misguided al fresco attempt to live up to his gimmick. Even John Holmes played the bottom once in his career.
Â
What was the point of even being there?Â
Â
Exactly. Russ Abbot might have performed the national anthem.

Chat? Not chat?

It is the case. He just wants to control you.

It's your thread, mate. Don't let people like Pitcos tell you what to do with it.

Watched The Innkeepers last night - don't know why I keep falling for Ti West movies. The buzz always seems to be that he's the new horror guy to watch, but then outside of House of the Devil, which had its faults but was generally pretty classy, his work is B- at best. This one concerns a haunted B&B that is slated to close, and two employees who are working the last night in hopes of recording something scary. It has a weird, pointless cameo from Lena Dunham, and an equally useless Kelly McGillis, who is the only person there who looks like she saw a ghost. The reviews said that it was slow (it is) but builds to a horrific climax (it doesn't).

We were so excited that we got out the good placemats and I made breakfast-for-dinner, in honor of Walt Jr., chased with some blue rock candy. The meat-heavy greasefest was probably a mistake, because I nearly shit myself when Hank hit the garage door closer. The end of the episode was an absolute nerve shredder - Bryan Cranston is beyond brilliant in this show. Watched "Low Winter Sun" afterwards, and he made everyone in that seem like they were acting in a panto.

No more sunshine - it's followed him away

I don't watch Doctor Who, and haven't for a good long time (no problem with it, just got behind, and can't be bothered to catch up), but I've got a lot of people on my Tumblr who claim to love the show. They don't, obviously - Capaldi is too old, apparently, and any romance with his sidekick will be disgusting. Guess it's time to shut up shop, then.

For argument's sake, what is the companionship that they give you?
Â
Speaking for our Manny, he reacts like two of his favorite fictional characters have come to visit the first moment that we're both awake in the morning, and as soon as I get back. The Mrs. says that he helps her keep it together through the long, lonely period whilst she looks for a job. He also asks to be allowed up onto the bed most nights, to sit in the space between one of us and the bed head. He's also a lot of fun to play with, and generally entertains with his antics when he's awake, which tends to coincide with our sleeping patterns.

I've never understood the cat people vs. dog people argument. My shark could take all of your pets on at once.

Internet mates - that's weird, that is

I watched Cloverfield whilst very drunk once, and hypothesized that Hud owed the monster some money, and that's the reason for its seemingly single minded pursuit of the group across Manhattan, and also why it leaves them alone once it has his trousers, and therefore his wallet.
