  1. The Lesnar/Taker Summerslam preview special was quite great. Made me interested in a match that until now I'd rather not have seen. Made Lesnar look like a proper unstoppable monster, verging on psychopathic and Taker a right determined fucker who'd rather finish the match dead than on his back. The way they cut up their match in to highlights made it looks like a true epic too rather than the slow, sluggish affair it actually was.  Hopefully they can produce a good yin and Summerslam, Taker looks a lot better now than he did back then so my expectations are rising. He really did look terrible, don't understand why noone told him that St Tropez look he was going for was ridiculous.

  2. I found myself rooting for Tony, in this 'I know he's bad but there's good inside him' kind of way. The mafioso activity I obviously didn't mind, but I wanted him to be true to his wife and family and a be good role model for Christopher. All the way through I was behind him...

...until he killed Christopher. That did it for me, he truly became a cold-hearted monster then. Fuck him, wanted him dead after that.

Edit: Silvio is class, so class in fact that you all should watch Lillyhammer. It's basically Silvio in rural Norway trying to turn the place into a twisted little mob village.

My interpretation of it wasn't that he killed him out of cold-heartedness, it was that Christopher was too volatile and too much of a liability to keep around. He was about to promote him to his right hand man but he was completely smacked out his tits during the conversation.  After he rolled the car Tony noticed Christopher's baby's seat in the back completely mangled from the crash, I think Tony seen it as a "what could have happened" situation and decided to take him out before he done any serious damage to anyone else.

That's what I love about The Sopranos, there's so much left open to the viewers' interpretation.

  3. Nah, I don't think you're meant to empathise with her at all. Tony points it out quite a few times that she knows exactly where the money comes from and how many people go in the ground so that she can live the life of luxury.  She's also pretty aware that Tony has his "gumars" but never puts up much of a fight about it.  She loves being the wife of the boss, it's just not meant to be blatantly obvious.

The only guy I ever felt any sympathy for was Bobby Bacala, always seemed like the good guy who ran with the wrong crowd just so he could put food on his kids' plate.

  4. And when Corbyn inevitably wins, cretins like this cunt will be trying to defy Labour Party members by overthrowing him before he even gets a chance. Funny that it's those talking about "unity" and "electability" that seem to be doing everything they can to rip the party apart and make them look like a shower of spineless, unelectable arseholes.

  5. Anyone been playing Rocket League? I've been playing it on the PS4 and it's awesome! High octane, short bursts of rocket car football.

Rocket League is class! Really surprised me.

I was a huge fan of Super Sonic Acrobatic Rocket Powered Battle Cars, thought it was so underated so I'm glad to see some love for Rocket League! I haven't got a PS4 yet, not really been at home enough this year to justify and now just waiting till closer to Christmas for some good bundles. Only played Rocket League a handful of times on a mates PS but can't wait to get in to it, it's genuinely the main reason I'm getting a 4, was gutted when they announced it wouldn't be out on the 3.

  6. I love the Seinfeld reunion season just because I thought it was cool seeing the cast back together and of course there's the Danny Dubetstein episode which is brilliant, Leon is an incredible addition to the show.

Would probably have to agree that season four is the strongest though, The Car Pool Lane and The Survivor are two of the funniest episodes of TV ever written.

  7. Credit has to go to Dawn Butler who handled it well, laughing Burley off was the perfect thing to do and made her look like more of a fool than getting angry would've.

I think the idea is that even though you hate whoever and know your piss would fuck them up, you still wouldn't waste it on them. Playing on the "wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire" line.

  8. I've never liked David Lammy. He's my MP, and I think he's a worthless dickhead career politician.

Agreed. He came across like a right opportunistic knob during the 2011 riots, he even claimed that he had predicted them! Now he's trying to use his "past glory" to get him on the London Mayoral ticket.

  9. You've got to love the irony coming from Labour at the minute, all this "we need to be electable" rhetoric whilst almost every high-profile Labour MP is doing everything they can to derail Corbyn's soaring popularity. I still don't see him winning the leadership but I think he'd do well in winning back a lot of the Scottish, Northern England and London voters who jumped ship in May.

Umunna is such an insufferable cunt but a very cunning one at that, there's no way he pulled out of the leadership race because of heightened media scrutiny that was always a given and he must have been well aware of that. I reckon he knows they have very little chance of being winning in 2020 so withdrew to watch someone else fall on their sword and will swoop in to save the day in 2020. He knows he has time one his side and so he's happy to play the waiting game, knowing he'll be at the top table in the meantime.

  10. I'm thinking he may be involved with the Lesnar/Rollins match and we get Lesnar/Undertaker at SummerSlam.

Yup cause the Undertaker will be rushing to get back in the ring with the guy who hospitalised him, Taker was too old and decrepit 16 months ago to handle a Lesnar match, no way is he having another. Besides Lesnar isn't losing to a 50+ year old man who's on his way out, and Taker isn't losing to Lesnar twice in just over a year.

  11. Adam, for fuck sake! You want all this to stop? Then stop posting. That's literally all you need to do, you're the one keeping this thread going. You're the butt of all the jokes and your completely inability to see this as one massive piss take has fuelled all of this. This isn't bullying Adam, if people were hounding you on social media or deliberately trying to sabotage your (probably already doomed) show then that might warrant your cries of wolf but this is about as unsubtle a ribbing as you can get. Pie buffets, Rob Brydon and a UKFF MC vs MC match, it's nothing more than Butch's wet dream but your sheer stupidity and persistence has turned it in to 50+ pages of gold.  All you need to do to make all this go away is for you, yourself, to go away.

  12. The old quarterbacks in the silver packets were on a different level but the only ones I've tried recently were Golden Wonder (I think) made, they didn't even come close. Had my first bag of transform-a-snacks for years the other night, spicy of course, apart from the price they things haven't changed in forever. Always prefer 10p type crisps to your generic Walkers/Golden Wonder stuff.

  13. So what's a cookie? It goes hard, but it ain't no cake.

Soft cookies go hard, hard cookies go soft. They're the enigma of the baked goods world.

  14. They could've burned Yara, or even Gendry. Both have King's Blood and it's not like either of them are doing anything particularly important. Where IS Yara anyway. It can't take that long to sail from the Iron Islands to the North surely?

    ".

How does Yara have King's Blood? Isn't she Theon's sister, daughter of Lord of Iron Islands?

  15. Didn't even notice the music tbh but the CGI was dodgey as fuck, still it was a good ending.
Hated the scene with Shireen though, a dad burning his daughter alive is a step too far for tv. Really uncomfortable viewing.

Quite a strong episode but not as strong as every other season's penultimate episode has been but I suppose last week's episode balances it out.

  16. Does anyone play Football Manager 2015? Or more to the point has anyone been having problems with it? 2 months in to my first season with Norwich and I had 10!!!! first team players injured, both my goalkeepers got the same injury on the same day and were out for the same amount of time, I loaned Munir from Barca and he got injured for 6 weeks in his first game and when I finally got the message in my inbox to say he had returned to full training the very next message was to say he was injured again for another 8 weeks. Just doesn't feel righ, feels glitchy or something, I don't want to quit it cause it'll take me ages to want to start a new game again, made some belting signings etc.

  17. The battered mars bar is just a touristy gimmick thing, noone actually eats them.  I've tried it once and not in any hurry to try it again and to be honest I probably wouldn't even know where to get it, I can't think of any chippies in the area that I've seen do them.

  18. I'm off out for a scallop batch, I had to take a picture last time I had one for an American mate.

That looks as dry as Phil Neville on commentary. Where's the curry or gravy? Or at the very least some watered down vinegary ketchup?

  19. KFC is always on top just for the Wicked Zinger Tower Box meal with gravy and extra hot wings. The rest are interchangeable depending on mood and what promo burgers are on. When McDonalds does the Big Tasty I try to make as much use of that as possible. I tried a Habanero Ranch burger in an American McDs a few years ago and it was so good I emailed the UK office asking for them to trial it on our menu, they said no

  20.

I've only just learned who Bruce Jenner is, feels like he is the most famous person in the world the way people have been going on about him and not just the step-dad of someone who had a sex tape.

He isn’t. He was also an Olympian.

They're 10 a penny. I doubt many, if any, of the number of people talking about him/her even know what a decathlon is.
