I don't understand how there can be a rating system that is just an arbitrary number that isn't out of anything. If it's a five star system, the best matches should get five stars and anything else a lesser number of stars. Otherwise it is meaningless 

Has anyone other than BJ Penn lost 5 fights in a row in UFC and not been released or retired of their own volition? 

Why did Sandman get his name changed to Hard-core Hak in WCW, was it due to them being wary of Marvel (who already got Arachnaman pulled) or some other reason?

Heels aren't supposed to be nice. If people know its a work, how is a heel being homophobic or racist any different to a villainous character in a TV show being homophobic or racist? 

No wonder British wrestling is in the shit state it is if people are "getting shoot offended" and "turning their backs" because of a few nasty words used by a heel. You aren't supposed to like the heels, that's the whole point. So why not just have the babyfaces give the heel their comeuppance instead of having the promoter come out and expose the business? It's just as bad as Paul Heyman making Raven come out and apologise for crucifying Sandman.

Volkoff was around for ages, he won the wwf tag team title at 22 years old. When he came back as Ted DiBiase's servant in 1994 he seemed like a old-time relic from another era but he was younger than HHH is now and around the same age as the Rock.

It's not good for UFC in the UK for them not to have anything on TV at all. What happened to Channel 5 showing some of the events on a week delay?

I can't see them doing PPV for all numbered events, they'd get miniscule amounts of buys for some of the lesser ones. But Conor McGregors fights will certainly be on PPV, and probably the other big events with stacked cards.

Goldberg beating Hogan for the title was 20 years ago today, almost certainly the biggest match in Nitro history. It's easy to forget just how hot wrestling was at the time.

Their books are some of the best wrestling books out there, get them on Kindle though.

Pro-Wrestling IS pretend MMA. If it's not, what else is it? It's called wrestling, but you can also punch and kick. Which is MMA. I think some people are so in the wrestling bubble that they forget this. How do you explain what pro-wrestling is to a layman without just saying that it's pretend fighting?

In another note, I see Al Snow has bought OVW.  Hopefully this will lead to a resurgence of the promotion, there's a massive gap in the market for a southern-style "rasslin" promotion in amongst all the indy groups trying to imitate NJPW or Lucha.

You can pretty much pin down the date of design of the Wallpaper to  Thanksgiving of 1992 as Bulldog and Warrior (and LOD) aren't on it, but Bossman is (I assume he gave his notice just after that point as they jobbed him to Bam Bam Bigelow) and so is Mr Perfect as a wrestler.

Why is Greg sat shirtless while Davey and Jake are fully clothed?

Dick Murdoch actually got over in the match, after coming out to nearly no reaction at all, people were pissed off when he got eliminated. I think he stuck around and did some house shows but I don't recall seeing him on TV again.

At the time I thought Gorilla was just clueless and was just talking rubbish but I later found out that Monsoon had part ownership of WWC, had spent loads of time in Puerto Rico (Victor Quinones was allegedly his illegitimate son) and clearly knew full well exactly who Carlos was. 

 I always stopped the tape before Honky vs Beefcake came on. But the first 3 matches were all very entertaining.
