The lack of people in normal clothes is baffling to me. Especially when they, as already mentioned, come out in full gear when they don’t even have a match. Do they really expect us to believe Randy Orton wears his trunks at all times. Middle of Aldi and you see Randall doing his weekly shop in his underpants, give over.

The only possible explanation I can come up with is that plans can change last minute and no one wants to be caught out.

“Fandango, you are wrestling Reigns in five minutes, oh you are in your own clothes? Never mind.”

I assume Fandango goes over in that?

  2. Sad thing is I was actually reasonably pleased when he came back but he never seems to grasp the story of the match. Like when Rollins was slow to get to the top so he started talking about cardio and Graves and Cole had to correct him to point out the knee injury.

They did that when he first got called up, didn't they?

They need to stay away from Cole's "this is Fin's artistic expression manifesting blah blah" explanation. Makes his entrance come across as some student doing interpretive dance, rather than some Hulk-like beast coming to smash you.

Coach's "why doesn't he do this all the time?" is valid, though.

Really? I could practically hear everyone face palming back stage when he said this. Don’t point out the logic holes live on air Coach!

  4. I think they should just go with Lashley Vs Lesnar at Summerslam.

Towards the end of the match Paul Heyman (who is inexplicably wearing a kimono) throws salt in the eyes of Lashley who stumbles into the F5 and loses.

Hulk Hogan comes down the ramp to check on his BLACK FRIEND Bobby Lashley. Heyman clocks this from the ring and challenges Hogan to an impromptu title match. After receiving a blessing from his BLACK FRIEND Bobby Lashley (Go for it Hulkster!) Hogan accepts the challenge.

The match starts and The nefarious Paul Heyman tries to throw salt in Hogan’s eyes. (The same fate the befell his BLACK FRIEND Bobby Lashley) but GASP! Hogan ducks and the salt goes in Brock’s eyes. Hogan wipes out Heyman. Hits a clothesline on the blinded Lesnar. Hits the big leg drop. 1-2-3 and Hogan is WWE Universal Champion and is joined in the ring by his BLACK FRIEND Bobby Lashley to celebrate. He then raps to show how totally not racist he is.

That . . . or Braun Strownman or something.

Just when you think you've seen it all, Buddy and Ali raise the bar of innovation yet again. Superstars. These two would get 5 stars getting out of the car.

Just watched this and it was superb. The fact this is stuck on 205 live when Ali's underdog selling is probably only second in the company to Gargano is incredible.

What makes you say that? I've seen her act a few times - that is, doing an actual set, not workshopping material - and she was always pretty decent.

Actually had more than one person get up with their notebook. I don't mind people trying bits of new material, but I did make a point of saying early on that this was not a new material night nor a "proper" open mic, since it's always pre-booked comics who I've vetted (for the most part, there was an act last night who did 10 minutes smashing up citrus fruits who I hadn't seen before, so...) as so many of those nights degenerate into about 10 comedians with notebooks watching each other do five minutes they're trying to hone to do somewhere else they consider "proper." Well, I'm trying to turn this thing into a "proper" night, myself, so having the closer come up and do half an hour of unfinished material left a bad taste in my mouth.

    She's just a bit insufferable

  7. So I managed to get fired from two jobs in the same day today.

The company I work for is in Administration. So obviously I was looking for work.

Got offered and accepted a new role at another company. Start up. Really exciting sounding project. More money and I was chuffed. Contracts all signed no problem.

Now I never gave notice to my current employer as I'm in charge of decommissioning and backing up the website. So I knew the exact date which the website is being switched off and I'd be made redundant. And the timelines worked out perfectly so I would get redundancy money from one job and seemlessly start the new one.

This morning. My new employer rings me and tells me that due to financial restructuring they were implementing a hiring freeze and withdrew the offer (as contracts have been signed they are in breach and have already agreed to pay my notice and benefits I would have accrued).

Stunned from this I returned to the office to be handed my one week notice letter from the administrators at my current job. I knew this was coming and that it was likely to be today but the timing was comical.

So that's how I got fired twice in the same day.

He's a shit comedian, and narcissist, whose ex-wife (deceased) wrote a true crime book about the killer.

The police have since said that the book had precisely nothing to do with the case being closed, despite his grandstanding.

Yeah what a cunt he is for trying to attribute meaning to his deceased wife's work. Wouldn't want their daughter taking false pride in her mother's life's work or anything.

I'm going for a night of quality comedy in the first instance so new matetial is a no. I am leaving two open spots available for those without much experienced.

Eventually I want to run either two shows a night  or alternate weeks - one week open micers and those trying new material and the following week established acts with well practiced stuff.

    Is it paid?

Could they not just have Miz win his rematch at Backlash, if they didn't want to lose Rollins or Hardy.

I'd have thought Hardy stays on Raw. WWE have always had a soft spot for him and he's in a unique position; he's a good topline babyface but won't challenge Reigns for supremacy. That's a better fit for Raw than an AJ or a Bryan.

I could definitely see Rollins' going over, but it feels like they'd have to turn him immediately. With Styles and Bryan at the top of the heap, I wouldn't fancy being the 3rd babyface on that roster. At least as a heel his promo ability alone would see him trusted more, long term, than Naka.

My worry is that if they do go and get Seth and Finn (Finn seems most likely as he was hardly on Raw), then the main event scene on Smackdown just starts to have the same mush type feeling that the Raw upper mid card has had recently. Everyone presented at the same level, trading wins and losses.

I'd bloody love it if they drafted Braun. He'd be a real statement pick.

I agree Miz winning back the IC is probably the better move. Also got to look at the fact they wouldn't want to separate Matt and Jeff with them presumably being a good support network for each other.
