Since the conversation is clearly heading this way . . .
The Double Decker is the most underrated chocolate bar of all time. There is so much going on.

It made even less sense when, in later years, announcers would straight-up declare that Punk once defeated Undertaker by submission.
To be fair if you're going by the 'record books' he did.
It's like how New England Patriots win by cheating but it still counts. (I know nothing about NFL)

I'd like him to a get a 'never one the big one' style push on a minor PPV at some point. I actually think the crowd would get behind it. As someone else mentioned he has a real likeability about him

They ballsed that up then, at Breaking Point it was apparently still banned. Tut.
Did they ever explain why Teddy Long screwed the Undertaker?

I've done it for 7 years. It's one of those things that stops being terrifying the more you do it.
In terms of courses I didn't do one but a lot of people do find them useful. In terms of good ones I guess it depends on where abouts you live? And they'll organise a big showcase when you graduate which is infinitely nicer than rocking up to an open mic of what will largely be other comedians.

I loved the Sarah Silverman episode of Comedian's in cars getting coffee. Every time I see her in anything I like her more and more. Just a top human being.

How likely would they be to build to a three way between them?
Or is that frowned upon at the top of the card?

These three are 2017's version of Tensai. Overhyped and have under delivered. Gallows was more interesting as Festus.
That episode of Raw was incredibly boring, but Joe and Reigns had a great match. It was helped by a clean pin as well, which aided the match as a whole, though I am surprised that they delivered that just now. Joe will likely be getting the belt from Reigns the next time he challenges for it, possibly the night after the Rumble, to clear Reigns up for his challenge of Lesnar at Mania.
To be fair to Balor I don't think it was that it was overhype. It's just that since he's come back from injury they've given him absolutely nothing of interest to do. The Miztouarage, Elias, Curt Hawkins, Sister bloody Abigail. The one time they've made him look relevant again was when he beat AJ and even that wasn't something they'd planned.
I actually think these three could be a fun unit.

I'm sure in a UK tournament they would have stuck the Fleisch vs Storm match out there in the first round or something. Well trodden spot fest that would pop the crowd. Almost the Osprey/Riccochet of its time.
-
Dude. Nothing about that sentence was good.
-
Oh Jesus THAT guy is still a thing. I'm just glad he got out of the fucking comedy industry.

The CM Punk was bizarre. He came out of essentially a retirement to not only beat Punk but also to beat Nash who Punk never got revenge on. And then went back into retirement.
Essentially making Punk (who was white hot at the time) look like a total mug.

I agree that's how it was then. But that doesn't translate to the modern world. No one is going to hold that belt who is a bigger star than people who are already in the big indies already? A top ROH guy is not going to get the rub from Tim Storm or whoever is NWA Champion.
Only way it could work is if Daniel Bryan took the belt after leaving WWE.

It would be silly to pass up on him from the NWA point of view. They need to be careful not to make the same mistakes TNA made regarding previous WWE talent. Don’t just sign any/every fucker, but defo look at who can fit well with the company concept/ideology. People like James Storm, Trevor Murdoch who is still in his 30’s, even the likes of Sawyer Fulton who is now taking bookings again.
Whats big Hernandez up to these days? Is he allowed to sign for a company following the contractual shit between TNA and Lucha? Is he now free?
Both James Storm and Murdoch are great shouts. Particularly as you can probably easily get Harley Race to do some sort of endorsement of Murdoch. Think I remember Harley putting over him and Punk as the best two young guys out there back in the day.
Got to hand it to Corgan. He's actually got at least some people to remember the NWA title is a thing again. Get it on a biggish name and someone who can actually wrestle (sorry Tim) and it could be great. Also if you're going to do the travelling champ thing I'd day it lends itself better to a heel.

Just watched the latest chapter of Tim Storm's feud with Jocephus on the NWA Youtube channel. It went all of 6 minutes, both guys looked blown up after about 2, Storm botched his "Perfect Storm" finish, Jocephus almost botched the kickout and the finish was pretty weaksauce as well. Looks like they'll be participating in the world's shortest, lowest or both ladder match at some point. That belt needs to change hands, or they need to start sticking him in there with opponents that cane make him look better than he is.
If he would take it they need to find a way to get that belt onto Cody Rhodes. With him being as prominent a star as there is right now outside of WWE and his family lineage he could really make that belt something again. Defend in New Japan etc.

Was out for Christmas drunks with some of the wrestling lads on Saturday, went to a club having a half-arsed '80s night, and they had Big Daddy vs. Giant Haystacks on the telly when we walked in.
Got a decent laugh from everyone just for the timing of it, but then one of the guys - who grew up in Poland - just turns to me and says, "this is really old, right? Who are these guys", and found myself having to explain Big Daddy to someone with no frame of reference for British wrestling pre-2016.
It seems obvious that he just would have no idea who he was, but for a while it felt so alien knowing someone lacked this huge common point of reference that the rest of us all shared on some level. By the end of it I don't think he remotely believed me that Daddy was the star I was selling him as.
Shirley it must have been EA-SY to explain?

Why vote facts down? Because I stated a fact that you ass suckers are destroying WWE as no matter what they put out, whether you lobby for something or not, you’ll shit on it no matter what they do.
It may be because you keep calling everyone "Ass suckers". Just a thought.

So do we think that was a genuine beginning to the Broken Matt gimmick this week?

Sherri without doubt is the greatest ever female involved in wrestling. Shite like Aksana, and all the other NXT rubbish make me cringe. Lita was slightly reasonable playing Edges squeeze, other than that, they’re all terrible. Sherri the Queen of Wrestling, could do it all.
. . . k babes.

Would Mankind have got the event run with The Rock had that not happened? And then subsequently the stuff with Triple H?
Maybe not.

Wow it amazes me that after this week anyone could think Black and Velveteen Dream wouldn't add anything to the main roster.

Thanks very much for the advice guys I really appreciate it. Like you describe Kaz I totally get where he's coming from and I wouldn't say this is my shining hour. But at the same time we can't intentionally make ourselves miserable to protect him.
Me and her spoke last night and are serious about giving it a go. I'm going to speak to him about it Saturday. She wanted to do it together but I think that would just feel like an ambush.
Right. So the conversation went as well as can be expected. He's kind of said he's OK with it. (Helped by the fact I think he's really into a new girl).
So now I just have to try and make this work.
