I remember watching him CZW and thinking he was fun but nothing that special. But then I remember reading a terrible Powerslam column where they said WWE should bring him in as a replacement for "The repetitious Rey Mysterio". It was at that point I hated Ruckus by association to that article. Which isn't really fair but . . . come on? Replacing Rey? Fuck off.

I'd lose the Banana

I would have liked them to keep Alpha together for a while. But had Kurt like Gable more. Goofy segments with Jordan trying to win his love. Jordan turns heel on Gable as he's getting the attention. Then it emerges Jordan had fabricated the son thing. Elevates everyone if done right as a goofy angle morphs into a serious one. Much like Team Hell No becoming a quest to beat the Shield. 

What I don't quite get would be:

There's no way Kurt can be Heel in his first WWE match in over a decade. The crowd will shit all over anything like that. So what? Triple H will be the heel because Kurt Angle slept with his wife? That doesn't quite work out

Absolutely Winston! I was so worried they were going to end up as a nostalgia act like the Dudleys did during their running they've been knocking it out of the park with everything they've done. Credit to Sheamus and Cesaro who have also somehow become interesting. DELIGHTFUL!

An eagle-eyed viewer might be able to see the thigh slap. A pedant, might be able to see the thigh slap. But I think if you're looking at the thigh slap you're ignoring the story. If you go to a puppet show you can see the wires. But it's about the puppets, it's not about the string. If you go to a Punch & Judy show and you're only watching the wires, you're a freak.

Meh we've all seen worse. It has its place in the world even its not necessarily my bag. Thing is they do that in front of some crowds it'll get a "this is awesome" chant. Which rightly or wrongly is what a lot of wrestlers are after now.
