  1. Regal's explanation for his suspension during his KOTR/Raw GM push was fairly flimsy I thought. Nobody could tell him what showed up in his drug test but  it was probably the chemist where he gets his heart meds fault for giving him wrong meds. Not bothered fighting it because he owed WWE too much for hiring him in 2000. Just admit it was for roids/hgh/whatever for your mega push like.

  2. The guy accompanying Regal sounds terrified of interrupting him and they also have zero chemistry. Dud so far for me anyway, which is a massive shame.

I actually really like Foley's podcast. He has a surprisingly great memory for interesting little details and him and Conrad both sound like they're enjoying themselves.

  3. Watch very little of current stuff. I enjoy living in the past instead through podcasts and the likes of OSW Review. I used to watch everything WWE from 1999 up until Mania 24 ish. Only show I'll defintely watch these days is Mania really, whichever the good night is. Current stuff annoys me too much, so no point watching it really.

I'll dip in for the good bits of AEW too, though now they've employed that twat Cole in a prominent position I'd imagine I'll be dipping in a lot less!

  4. Assumed she'd been fired or quit years ago. Shame about the injury, she was just a bit too early for the era of womens wrestling being treated seriously in WWE. She still had to fart around with the dregs like Aksana and co, when she wasn't feuding with AJ.

  5. Aye, I always thought MJF was a bit too short to be considered/make it as a top lad but he's done very well for himself in fairness, much to his credit. This shite of calling 'Tony wanks dogs' out is pure bollocks though.

  6. Thats seriously disheartening that Conrad is involved. Only hope is Regal going off on his (endlessy entertaining) tangents about Daddy, Haystacks, Blackpool and the like that Conrad has no reference point for interuption.

I assume Foley's podcast will just be an excuse for him to creep on the women wrestlers, in the guise of offering them a voice.

  7. The stuff I liked as a kid growing up watching Ted (mainly Jack's swearing and catchphrases) has been replaced by the odd turns of phrase that would have passed over my head as a young fella. Like Ted's response to Father Larry Duff asking him 'how's it hangin?' (its hanging fine Larry) creases me every time I hear it!

Linehan's 'fuckin hell' from the audience in the King of the Sheep competition is forever tainted though.

  8. Aye, I love Regal, Mox and Bryan but that Yuta lad has the charisma of a turnip and doesn't seem to fit in with the rest of them. Also having Regal as a mouthpiece for 2 lads who are great talkers seems a bit of a waste.

  9. Debra and her god awful attempt at ring announcing is the only bad thing on the show. She's actually worse than Stacy Keibler announcing the ill advised WCW main event on Raw, & that takes some doing!

I know she was Austin's missus, but just have her walk some babyfaces to the ring or something.

  10. YouTube suggested the edit of Ambrose's appearance on Austin's podcast and then a video of him cutting a shite promo wearing a gas mask. Amazing to see the difference hammered home about playing to his strengths as well as his general happiness in AEW vs WWE.  Still incredible they let Mox go, but built an empire around bland (personality wise, he's a beast in ring) Roman. Crazy.

  11. Definitely Cole. I can't stand the sight of the bastard, he has x-pac in 2001 level go away heat from me. Annoying berk who does the same thing every week and looks shite whilst doing so.

I stopped watching nxt when he became featured so prominently, but at least you were sure he'd never make the main shows (in any serious way) as long as Vince was still breathing!

  12. If the magic computer told him Keith Lee would be a good investment then it needs a good dose of Norton antivirus or whatever!

Nah, but fair play to Tony really though. He's made a good fist of this wrestling lark so far. Being able to watch Regal, Mox and Ambrose on telly every week is reason alone to sing his praises.

  13. The proliferation of german suplexes by Benoit and Angle (mainly) in the early 00's definitely shortened the careers of Austin, Edge as well as Angle and Benoit themselves. All had that neck fusion surgery over a short period of years

I'd have banned them over the pile-driver any day. They don't even look that impressive like. Eddie's 3 vertical suplexes were 10 times better looking and safer.

All the buckle stuff looks shite to me, Seth injuring Balor and Sting with it should have been enough to call time on using it in any way.

  14. Matt's looked fucked for about a decade, but Jeff never looked too bad (when not fucked up on drugs) at all given the 20+ years of mad bumps. Finally has caught up with the poor fecker it seems. Whats AEW wellness policy craic? you'd worry when Jeff actually looks like he now needs pain pills as opposed to just abusing them. Hopefully someone is keeping an eye out for him.

  15. I loved Sami vs the Jackass lads, great craic. Seeing mad auld roided up to the gills Vince in his workout vest at 77 was so weird, but fun too. Everything else was a giant pile of meh. Edge is a boring prick these days even with his new and improved persona, hopefully he's given a painting of a spitfire and binned off by the time Mania rolls around next year. Also, Pat Mcafee was annoying enough and then he goes and has 7 nation army as entrance music!

Night 1 was clear winner for me anyway but an enjoyable weekend overall. Will see if they can coax Rock back for next years instalment which is next WWE show I'll be watching.
