  1. Drew's accent is incredibly annoying, he sounds like a bargain bin Craig Ferguson. Also, he looked like an absolute moron pointing to his bare wrist referencing time in his promo. If you know you're going to be doing that, wear a fancy watch and heel it up a bit for feck sake like.

  2. Been playing some emulated PS2 games on my laptop over Christmas, but its a bit laggy cos my laptop isn't great and I only really use it for internet browsing these days. So going to buy a PS2 console from cex. Am I better buying one of the original fat PS2's or the slimmer versions? or does it make any difference?

  3. Not a huge fan of 2023. On and off various mental health meds for anxiety/depression being the theme of most of the year really. But I somehow met a lovely, funny (slightly uncomfortable in her own skin, like me!) lady in October who has brightened life up considerably. Spent NYE on her couch drinking whiskey sours and watching Ghostbusters 2, Trading Places, and tipsily laughing our arses off at The Room to round things off. I hopefully will get a transfer to a new unit in work in early/mid-2024 that should help with stress/burnout and stop my recurring bouts of severe heartburn & stomach ulcers also.

Best of luck to everyone here in 2024.

  4. Be cool to get him back for a Rumble appearance if his body is still up for it. Maybe he could dropkick Kane or one of the big lads over the top rope. He still looks in decent nick . He might not want to considering his addiction issues in the past, which is fair enough. The videos are very well put together and an easy watch. He seems like a nice lad above all else., best of luck to him.

  5. The sergeant with the incredibly tiny eyes who arrests Unctious at the end always creases me!

"I've got news for you Todd Unctious, if that is your real name (I already told ya it wasn't!), that wasn't off the record. I'm using all that as evidence!"

  6. Gallows full shoot interview as Sex Ferguson with Cliff Compton & Freight Train is on Highspots Youtube channel. Still very funny all these years later. Always had a soft spot for Gallows, clearly such a huge fan of the business.

  7. Is AJ Lee still wrestling? you'd have to think there is a decent chance of her popping up in the women's Rumble match now that Punk is back. They've burned through most of the attitude/ruthless aggression era women as surprise entrants at this stage really.

  8. Damage was caused by Tony Khan being an incompetent owner/booker. He ultimately gets the final say as to what happens on TV & he picks his staff to work behind the curtain to keep his roster of wrestlers in line. He has failed miserably at the latter and his booking was and is wildly inconsistent and fails to make use of the big names he has brought in time and time again. To lay the blame solely at Punk's door for both of those things is bordering on the delusional. Hilarious to read all the same though!

  9. Nah, Punk wants that Mania main event, even if its dilluted with all that night 1/night 2 craic these days compared to when he was last on the roster. Nothing that dullard twat Rollins could do to deter him from at least sticking around til then I reckon.

Austin/Punk would be ridiculous for the promos alone. Austin has so much material to work with compared to his Owen's match.

  10. Delighted to see Punk back in the big time. As a person, I think he's a thin skinned arrogant dick, but he's a fantastic pro wrestler and promo & things are never dull with him around, if nothing else. With a boss with the actual stones to keep him in line and lots of new wrestlers on the WWE roster for him to interact with, plus hot crowds and full arenas I'm hopeful we get a good run out of Punk and that he gets to exorcise his hangup about never main eventing Mania. He looks in great nick too, 100x better than the haggard-looking wreck he was in the last while of his AEW run.

  11. I'd still love to see Punk back in WWE & it would be a massive deal merch wise for them. Would be enjoyable seeing him having to grin and bear it and work for HHH too. Would be a big bridge for WWE to mend though. I only listened to the 2 Cabana pods recently, & Punk slagging off nearly every facet of WWE, bragging about beating them in court and publically suggesting HHH uses roids isn't a great foundation to start from. But, I suppose if Ventura, Warrior & Bret eventually made their way back, Punk returning can't be totally ruled out. I'd doubt he'd get the Lesnar type deal he'd demand though.

  12. I've tried to give Knight a go, but I just can't stand him. Can't stand his stupid music, his moronic promo style and he's middling at best in the ring. You could see Cena had talent for promos before he made it big & his ring work improved over the years to match his push, but Knight is just by the numbers dull & he's not a young lad like Cena or Rock were. Best of luck to him, but hopefully he gets sent to Raw & I'll never have to see or hear him again.

Dan Kroffat and a young Rob Van Dam tearing it up back in 95.

Weird seeing RVD with the plain black singlet instead of the cool airbrushed ones he became synonymous with. Cool seeing the Japanese crowd really getting into his stuff as well. The springboard moonsault off the turnbuckle is one of those moves that I vividly remember being blown away by as a kid, back when he was Robbie V in WCW.

Pretty cool seeing this. Always thought it was a shame that WCW or WWE didn't bring in RVD a whole lot earlier. Crazy that it took until mid 2001 for him to properly get a go.  Those 6/7 months (until HHH returned and Rob's push took a nosedive) were great fun. Was really cool seeing RVD mix it up & hold his own with Austin/Rock/Angle/Taker etc.

  14. Triple H was never the same after that first quad injury in 2001. He was in belting form from late 99 up until then. His comeback in 2002 was ruined by him getting far too big in comparison to what shape he was in his best year in 2000. When he laid off the gas in 03/04 he got some of his in-ring form back, but just wasn't as good. His dominating Raw with 20-minute opening promos and tearing down the pushes of Goldberg, RVD & Booker around then didn't help either I suppose.

  15. Jericho as a main eventer. He was fine as an upper midcard face or comedy heel, but he was just lacking that something extra to put him over the top. He's always been a bit clunky in ring too, unless he's in with someone super smooth like an Angle, Benoit or prime 2000 Triple H. Even his second World title run as suit wearing heel was a bit meh, and also inspired dullards like Swagger to attempt the same schtick in lieu of a personality.

Maybe if they pulled the trigger on him in 2000 with the title win off Triple H he'd have faired better, but Rock was the better option to go with back then as your top face vs Triple H.

  16. Very well done, Sami getting a bit of blood during the beatdown is the only thing I'd have wanted but even that is nitpicking. Hopefully they manage to keep this level of excellence in the story over the next few weeks.

  17. Its mad seeing how much of a non star Bryan is in AEW. Maybe he's happy enough just plodding along, but he can be so much more either as the plucky face or smug eco warrior heel. You could have vignettes of him throwing paint on things/people and blocking traffic and all that topical lark these days too. But nah, just another wrestler in a promotion filled with dullard wrestlers. Such a waste of his final active years and shows what a schlub Khan is for letting him get away with it while presumably paying out a big money deal.

  18. Anyone been to the Garth Marengi book tour show thing? saw he was doing a few shows in small enough theatre in Dublin so grabbed a ticket. Good excuse to watch Dark Place again too!
