  1. I've never really wanted to admit this on here but I work for KFC as a cook. It's something I'm embarrassed about and a job I really don't like. I know many people can say they hate their job but mines due many reasons. These reasons range from sometimes having 6 hours between shifts, a recent hourly pay cut, dirty job, unrealistic procedures to be followed, terrible hours (7am-2am), idiots working there, a shit contract (mines 16 hour, it was an 8 hour and I work around 40 hours a week) and the franchise model (never enough people on for a busy store and makes it stressful). I've worked for a franchise before which was McDonalds and the franchise model wasn't at all this bad. I'm glad to have a job but I don't know how long I can stick this one out.

I finished Uni last week and I'm expecting either a 2:2 or possibly a 2:1. I've recently bought a car and have been employed since the age of 14. Now I've got some skills which hopefully can get me out of there. I'm just wondering if anyone could point me in any direction of websites, organizations, just anything to give me some help on leaving this job?

Also if anyone else who's worked for KFC can share any light on their experiences that'd be interesting.

  2. Has anyone got a detailed answer to why ROH and TNA stopped exchanging talent in 2007? I know TNA wanted their talent exclusive but is there any more to it than than. As history has shown it made both companies suffer in the long run.

  3. I'd really like to see Hernandez have a face run. He's one of TNA's homegrown stars similar to AJ Styles and James Storm. It'd be a breath of fresh air to see him towards the Main Event, he certainly has the look, good style in the ring but he isn't too brilliant on the stick. He hasn't botched anything for a while either which is a good sign. I don't actually know if Chavo is the reason why Hernandez is over at the moment, I just think the real crowds reflect the product much better than those 900 idiots at the Impact Zone. I'd like to say hes over for his style as he does have a unique style in the ring.

  4. Have a look on stagevu.com

Last time I looked they had a shitload of wrestling on there. Just play around with the search button and see if it's on there [What your looking for].

Thanks for that site, never heard of it before, but its got some Youshoots that I havent seen yet. JDownloader can download the avi version of the files, too, which is a bonus.

Watched KC's Top Five Managers 'shoot', which was crap. 45 minutes of people like Sandman and Bill fucking Apter saying "They were good, they got lots of heat for their wrestlers" in as many different ways as possible. Ive watched three of these sort of shoots now, and theyve all been crap. The talking heads format doesnt work, especially when 75% of the people talking usually have no clue what theyre talking about. Funniest part of this shoot was Vince Russo praising Cornette, and the "WTF?" reactions that most of them had to James Mitchell making the list.

Also watched the Sheik/New Jack/HTM shoot, which was OK. The constant shouting and promo cutting got a bit tiresome toward the end, mind. I have a bunch of those Worlds Collide shoots downloaded, which ones are worth checking out? Im about to start the Raven/HTM one, is it worth watching?

No problem man. If you don't mind taking a few minutes to search there is some absolute gold on that site. I had a quick search then coming across Dudley Boyz shoot, Hart Foundation Shoot, Face Off (s), Nash Shoot, Gene Okerlund and and loads more. A few months ago I watched a few WCW events on there and a load of weekly shows from 2002. Fairly decent quality and the site doesn't buffer that much for me.

I watched Face Off 3 recently (Sheik, New Jack and Honky Tonk Man) and it wasn't too great was it? I enjoy listening to Sheik and Honky Tonk Man but New Jack can fuck off. He just chats shit and the whole tough man act just doesn't float my boat. If I remember rightly New Jack gets a massive Knife out during the shoot doesn't he? Just why on earth. The accounts of Shiek and Honky Tonk Man seem like good accounts to learn from. However, I did find it funny seeing the shoot end half way through because they were too loud in the hotel.

  5. It's a sad state of affairs that the fans are letting that be the grading criteria of the promotion.

It can also go the other way round as Slammiversary had the largest crowd (in 2012 and US to that date), they had their first international TV taping in the UK, signed overseas deals to air Impact, Hall of Fame with Sting, an Excellent Slammiversary PPV, the introduction of Open Fight Night, Gut Check and made a few new stars (notably Aries and Roode, 2012 was there year in TNA).

Regarding the Observer awards I found many of the awards to be the same of the opinions of daft internet fans (whilst I understand these will be the ones voting). The typical work-rate perverts who live in their mothers basement somewhere in Texas. Who often shit all over TNA and say "DA X-DIVISION SHOULD THE FOCUS OF THE SHOW. THEY SHOULD SIGN DAVEY RICHARDS". You know? Shit like that. That's one of the great things about the UKFF you've got fans who look at the products differently and rationally.

I don't even know where I'm going with this post.

  6. I watched Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares last night and really enjoyed it. I'm a fan of Ramsay and do think he is hilarious. He comes across a decent bloke but Kitchen Nightmares sort of paints a over the top picture of the bloke making him look like hero which sometimes puts me off. Other than that seeing him take the piss out food, slag the owners off, call them idiots and decorates the restaurant. It's a decent television and better than half the shit that is on these days.

  7. Yeah they are voted by the readers but much of what it says is complete and utter tripe. I suppose the two I've just mentioned just show how irrelevant the awards actually are.

I personally thought TNA had a cracking year in 2012 and certainly wouldn't say they were the worst promotion of the year.

  8. I don't particularly agree with the Observer awards. I was looking at the 2012 awards and noticed TNA got the award for best weekly show but despite that, they gave TNA the worst promotion of the year award. Now I don't understand how the best weekly show of the year can also be the worst promotion of the year.

Good to see RAW earn the Worst Weekly Show award as 2012 was a very poor year which I do agree with.

  9. I'm a big wet girl for saying it, but (500) Days of Summer is fast becoming one of my favourite films. It's boss.

Aye couldn't agree more. If you want to be more of a girl try watching New Girl. I thought I'd hate it but its fairly decent.

I watched Taken 2 last night and really enjoyed it. It wasn't as good as the first but its rare for a sequel to out do the first film in the series. Obviously there was a few things which weren't realistic in the film but you've got to ignore that. Good plot overall

  10. I don't see why this could not had been 'experimented' with on a house show. I hope they don't use it again, put me off the match.

How are they going to do that? They dont record or broadcast house shows. Also this was a taped episode of Impact, so they have seen this in production before hand and deemed it fit to air. They want the viewers reactions to it.

I presume he means when they highlight footage of a live event on iMPACT or as part of YouTube Channel.

  11. I've bummed it on here hundreds and hundreds of times, but I've just spent an hour bouncing from video to video watching it back because it's so class. Can we all talk about HHH's Smackdown run? Fucking great, just great. A nice call back to the Stephanie/Test wedding when he busted Edge, a virtually forgotten PPV feud between the two, rocking up at Unforgiven to piss about in a Scramble match, and in my opinion one of his finest moments as a pro-wrestler - the match with Khali at Summerslam.

I'm no mega HHH fan, nor am I a hater of his stuff (anymore), but I think that has replaced 2000 has my favourite period of his work. It's phenomenal.

He was bloody brilliant after Summerslam 1999 I thought and really shown he was worthy of being a main eventer. The SmackDown where he dropped the belt to Vince was magical.

  12. I can't think of a worse combination then between Swagger and Slaughter. It wouldn't have gone down well if this happened. Slaughter is one of those legends now who has been over-used and exposed in recent years. Everytime Slaughter is involved in the current product I just cringe. There is no point of him putting the younger talent over in what is typically a stinker and doesn't get over. The bloke had his run, had some good moments but it'd be nice for him to never wrestle or be involved in an angle again, ever.

  13. I'd echo your comments it must have been a fantastic time to be watching wrestling, especially as a fan in America. I've been working through 1996 and 1997 during the past year and have been really enjoying it. In fact I've enjoyed it to such a degree that I struggle to watch current WWE product (Not that it should impact that but it has).

Its a shame there isn't a regularly active WCW thread on here.

  14. I watched ROH Frontiers of Honor 2003 yesterday and thought it was a good effort.

I'd like to mention how good AJ Styles Vs Johnny Storm and Christopher Daniels Vs Jody Fleisch were both absolutely fantastic. I'd have to say AJ/Storm was the better of the two and it was a right good match. My first time watching Storm aswell (Well I probably saw him back in the day of, The Wrestling Channel but forgot him) and I was very impressed with him. I'd really recommend this match.

The first AJ Styles vs Jonny Storm match (from FWA British Uprising, 9 months earlier) was even better imo. And Lynskey didn't fuck up the finish in that one.

Thanks for that man. I forgot to mention the ending felt abit flat but with it being a strong match I soon forgot about that.

Also who was that idiot who did a coast to coast during that horrible 6 man brawl/street fight match and tripped on the top rope to a horrible landing? Got to say that was a rotten match overall, apart from Katie Lea who is great.

  15. Never really thought too much of Taryn Terrell back in WWE but since she started wrestling in TNA she has looked hot

The Blue and Pink outfit works wonders

    She's really likeable aswell.

I'd have to say her referee attire was better. During the TNA Wembley Taping I couldnt stop starring at her arse. Its an incredible arse.

  16. Also the little kids shouting at the wrestlers did my head in. Swearing with the crowd in a cockney accent. It felt like something you'd see in your local town hall.

God forbid kids have cockney accents when they're from London and act like they're at a wrestling show when they're at a wrestling show. I know FOH was a smark-aimed supershow, but what do you want them to do, turn the kids away at the door? Or should the parents be phoning the venue first to make sure it's not a special event for weird internet men?

I don't agree with young children swearing. Especially in such a public setting.

Nothing against the cockney accent. My dad's from London. Half my family are from London.

  17. I watched ROH Frontiers of Honor 2003 yesterday and thought it was a good effort. It pissed me off abit how there was no hard camera for the entire show and the FWA pyro looked garbage. As Paul Heyman said why bother doing pyro for a small event? It just looks shit. The ROH talent on this show for the most part were in a different league than some of the FWA guys. I just felt the FWA guys were trying too hard, some were shit, some looked like they didn't know what a gym was and some looked tacky as fuck. Also the little kids shouting at the wrestlers did my head in. Swearing with the crowd in a cockney accent. It felt like something you'd see in your local town hall.

Daniels/Fleisch was another great one (Probably better for me at the moment as I think Daniels is as good as sliced bread these days); Anyway theres a spot where someone is holding a chair at the top of the ramp, Fleisch runs, jumps onto the chair, dives into the air and hits a hurricarna (spelling?) onto Daniels who is midway on the ramp. One of the best spots, ever. Literally.
