  1. I just dont get why the government/home office are so determined to protect Venables.

Thompson I can understand since it "seems" he has kept out of trouble.

Because you know what would happen if they didn't don't you.

Sure most people wouldn't care if it did but the Government can't really allow it can they.

Regardless of the consequences there must come a time where the home office says enough is enough.

  2. Just getting into the Londrick shoot and I want some of whatever the fuck those two smoke.

Just got to the part where Kendrick is talking about random shit such as the sun being colder the closer you get and the moon being a hollow space station

  3. On Kick Ass I think

<-- click on 'spoiler' to show/hide the spoiler

Dave getting the girl was a bit of a piss take on how the hero either gets the girl at the end of the movie or in one of the sequels

    [close spoiler]

    ");document.close();.

Personally I think the changes they made worked because the book (which I honestly dont think is very good at all) is pretty fucking misserable and the movie wouldn't have worked as well as a more literal adaption imo.

  4. I just watched Twilight. I'm quite shocked that the sequel is apparently worse. Team Edward, Team Jacob and all of it's members can fuck off, it's all about Team Foot-Through-TV. Is Edward meant to have learning difficulties or something? He appeared to be a tad slow, in fact the only difference between him and Rain Man is that the latter had the decency to get on a bus and fuck off.

I only had to watch the trailer to know that Twilight was going to be horrible but still you have my condolences.

Man I cant wait until True Blood is back on the air.

  5. Chloe Moretz as "Hit Girl" is worth watching for the fee alone SPOILER - Highlight the black box to read

and the scene featuring her taking out numerous henchmen of Frank D'Amico to the tune of the Banana Splits is genius. Also the ending of it definitely sets up for a sequel for Red Mist to get revenge the same way Hit Girl has done.

Thats a good one but I liked the SPOILER - Highlight the black box to read

FPS style shootout along with her fight with Frank near the end

more since I think already seeing the scene you mentioned heavily highlighted in trailers took away from its impact.

If I had seen Kick-Ass after only seeing its original trailer which frankly made it look a bit shit lord knows what my reaction would have been

    Great movie

  6. I loath the BNP but I can see the point that Harry is making the EU "Democracy" is a complete fucking joke.

Is that point an important enough one to make to warrant funding the BNP?

To harry obviously but not to me though since the EU machine is in full motion and there is pretty much bugger all we can do about it other then wait for the inevitable implosion of the whole thing.

I personally dont agree with harrys vote but its his choice.

  7. This really is going to be a terrible general election imo.

I'll probably go with the Dems even though I think they will probably be to EU freindly for my liking and Clegg is a complete non entiry but if I had to choose between Labour and the Tories then I would stick with Labour.

  8. The Maddie McCann saga is different, in this case Kate & Gerry McCann were deliberately irresponsible in my view and have only got the sympathy from the media because they are a white middle class family whereas if they were living on a council estate media pressure would have been put on social services would be in quickly once they came back to England to take their other children off them. As sad as the episode is, Maddie's disappearance deserves no more or less attention than those of children around her age elsewhere. The "White Missing Woman Syndrome" mentioned is a big factor. Even though it was only a usual brief cutaway, a gag on Family Guy did address this "syndrome" quite well.

You know Glen when your not being a cock you can make a good point :p

The McCann's got an abnormal amount of support from the media by any standards imo and the dirt rags really really got behind them when they were implicated by the Portugese Police though I should point out that I am in no way saying that they were involved in Maddie's disapearence.

It was the complete opposite when Murat was originaly a suspect and the media could not wait to dig up the dirt on the guy who I believe later sued one of the dirt rags.

  9. Starky was a right annoying cunt the last time he was on there as well (anyone know if he had a pop and Wales and Scotland again?) and Dimble's actually told him to shut up at one point which made me smile insdie.

    And on that note.

Internet giant Google has effectively withdrawn its China search engine following a row over hacking and censorship

Google said it was redirecting its China traffic through Hong Kong and was no longer censoring searches.

A blog statement by Google chief legal officer David Drummond said: "Earlier today we stopped censoring our search services - Google Search, Google News and Google Images - on Google.cn.

"Users visiting Google.cn are now being redirected to Google.com.hk, where we are offering uncensored search in simplified Chinese, specifically designed for users in mainland China and delivered via our servers in Hong Kong."

The White House said it was disappointed that Google had been unable to reach agreement with China, saying the company would have made its decision "based on what it believed was in its own interest."

Speculation had been growing that Google was preparing to announce it was pulling out of China - the world's largest internet market by users - or at least shut down its Chinese search engine.

The firm said it had been the victim of hacking by China amid a long-running row over censorship.

Google launched its Chinese-language search engine in January 2006 after agreeing to censor websites for content banned under Chinese law such as human rights issues and the 1989 Tiananmen Square massacre.

China has denied involvement in the December cyberattacks, which Google said targeted more than 20 other companies and included attempts to access the email accounts of Chinese human rights activists around the world.

Drummond said China made it clear during negotiations that Google would not be allowed to offer an uncensored search engine.

"We want as many people in the world as possible to have access to our services, iincluding users in mainland China, yet the Chinese government has been crystal clear throughout our discussions that self-censorship is a non-negotiable legal requirement," he said.

"We believe this new approach of providing uncensored search in simplified Chinese from Google.com.hk is a sensible solution to the challenges we've faced - it's entirely legal and will meaningfully increase access to information for people in China."

Google said it intends to continue research and development work in China and keep a sales presence there, though the size of the salesforce would partly depend on

the ability of mainland Chinese users to access google.com.hk.

A former British colony, Hong Kong is a special administrative region of China and enjoys more freedom, including an uncensored Internet, than mainland China.

    Interesting.
