  1. read an interview with paul williams in boxing news a couple of weeks ago, a truly inspiring charachter.

hatton return press conference in full.

great hatton tribute, really hope he does well in his comeback....don't want him to get embaressed by fighters who couldnt hold a candle to him in his prime.

love this entrance, one of the best in boxing ever - haton castillio

  2. alvarez by stoppage or knockout, if lopez fights like he did against ortiz, i think alvarez will stop or knock him out. he wont be able to keep coming forward against alvarez as i believ he will have to much power for him.

Yeah you're probably right actually, that kind of approach won't work against Canelo.

Alvarez vs Lopez - All Access

really enjoyed that face-face, chavez seems a cool confident chap doesnt he and he looks huge as well. Hasn't he had urine samples go missing in the past and also shot out of the arena after the lee fight without giving a urine sample as well? should be a good fight. I have just seen the pix of chave at the weigh in, he looks extremely weight drained, after seeing those pics i am definately going with martinez on pts or late stoppage.

    khan has departed from roach.

Also billy joe saunders looked excellent lastnight against fletcher. There was alos this young middleweight on the bill, i cant remember his name, had great support, it was only his 6th fight as well but he looked quality, knocked someoe out. Good looking bloke as well, could be very marketable.

  3. i think martinez by late stoppage or pts, i think he will be on chavez early, unlike the macklin and barker fights, gutted it's on primetime as will not se it live.

alvarez by stoppage or knockout, if lopez fights like he did against ortiz, i think alvarez will stop or knock him out. he wont be able to keep coming forward against alvarez as i believ he will have to much power for him.

billy joe saunders v fletcher tonight, don't know much about fletcher but seen him on buncey this week and he seems pretty up for it. They mentioned he beat degale in the amatuers, think at the commonwealth games a few yrs back. hopefully will be a good ruck.

3 real men - where did it all go wrong in wrestling.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8qMRcWzC5A...feature=related

goldberg in all his pomp, imagne only 7 months or so into his career.

  9. I actually think Haye would beat Vitali if they fight, however Vitali plans on retiring after his next fight against someone I have never heard of who is meant to be a bit shit.

Wlad vs Haye may not happen either, his manager is sick of British fighters. However, the division is so thin maybe they will get it made.

Haye could do worse than fighting Povetkin if he beats Del Boy, who he would beat soundly. In fact Chisora maybe should do the same thing if he should win.

i dont think haye would fight any one other than vitali if he beats chisora, he doesnt need the money or hassle. i dont think big V will retire on such a poor scalp, i do think he will fight haye and think he wants to fight haye, as haye said on beyond the ropes he was in serious talks to fight him befre the chisora debacle. anyway - unrelated - classic short clip below.......

also just watched moore maclin 2009 - a war. Moore is an absoloute gent, after the fight his beaviour is nothing sort of spectactular, telling a rabid crowd to stop cheering and doesnt celebrate either thinking macklin is hurt, hes great on ringside as well. looks cool as fuck with his tats nowadays.

  10. I think the fact that it has been built on a total farce makes me want to see it even more. I hate build ups where two fighters who should be looking to destroy each other, end up sucking each other off. Best example I can think of is Pacquiao/Mosely. It was ridiculous, especially during the match where they kept touching gloves.

At least with Haye and Chisora, there's a chance that reserved tactics will be out the window, and the two will just want to do 12 rounds of Prizefighter.

David Haye is a smart fighter, if you think you are going to be in for a 12 round prize fighter you are totally wrong. I imagine Haye will start cautious like he has always done at heavyweight, then if he feels he can take Delboys punches he will up his attack. If he can't he will punch his way to victory on the back foot. If he can take Delboys shots then i imagine he will up his game late and maybe try to stop him. All haye has to do is win relatively convincingly and he should get a fight against Vitali, who at this this in their careers i think Haye would beat him and set up a rematch with Wlad - 3 fights - 10 million at least. Whoever slags Haye off as a clown as no clue about boxing, he's a propper prize fighter, he fights for prizes, big prizes and although not my cup of tea as a heavyweight fighter - great cruiser - he is smart and he will retire rich with all his faculties in place which i believe is a good thing yeh?

  11. Cotto totally made a believer out of me, i genuinally never rated him as a propper world class boxer untill lastnight. those piss stains on commentary were like them 2 old geezers from the muppets, worst commentary ever. Boxing is a very very strange beast - you have Mayweather who is probably the best in the world who was made work very hard against cotto, then you have Pacquio who pretty much destroyed cotto but then Pac pretty much got his ass handed to him by Marquez, then you have Marquez who was absoloutly destroyed by Flloyd after he hadnt fought in 2 years.

I'm pumped up for Khan in 2 weeks. How do people see that one going?

  12. Two good fight on Saturday night on Ringside. The Crolla fight really exciting, I did actually think that Matthews might have a bit much experience for him after they showed the build up to it on Ringside last Thursday. I think Crolla will come good again and I think he will learn from this and come back a better fighter. Both fighters showed great heart throughout the fight and the atmosphere in the building looked quality.

I did not see the Degale fight but by all accounts is was a reasonably comfortable win for him. It said he was offered the shot at the WBO belt which Groves pulled out of due to his nose injury, but he turned it down.

Did anyone see the Frank Bruno Piers Morgan life interview on Friday night? Bruno looked in great shape physically but seemed a bit of an awkward interview, it has since came out that he omitted himself to hospital since the interview due to his ongoing battle with Bipolar.

I read in the Frank Warren column in The Sun on Saturday that Bruno wanted to come out of retirement 10 years ago to fight Big Audley and also recently wanted to come out and fight Chisoras, but the BBBC would never issue him a licence due to his eye injury. I would have liked to have seen him fight Audley, would have been an interesting fight.

As I fighter I never rated Bruno, he could take a punch and also give one but had no engine, he was always vulnerable after the 5th or 6th round and I don

  13. Ringside was classic this week. A Sugar Ray Leonard special. Comes across as humble chap who respects everyone he fought. I wish in boxing terms i had been 10 years older to witness all the 4 kings fights as they happened. I only remember the Hagler Leonard one as it was actually broadcast. Sure it was on a delay at 8 o'clock on ITV on a monday night.

Also i just read that SKY have turned down Haye Vitali Klitchko as a ppv fight if the fight was to happen. Think thats a great decision after the last couple of Haye PPV fights, he doesnt deserve the payday.

Bert Sugar used to cover wrestling as well in his early days, i'm sure of it.

  14. Both fights went exactly as i thought they would. I knew Hatton would never be in the Brook fight. Brook has to step up in class for his next fight, i have a feeling though that he may have a couple more fights in that arena against lower class opposition and make a few quid from ticket sales and sky. I think he looks ready for a Berto or Ortiz.

I thought Macklin put up a good fight but thought Martinez would stop him late. Even when Macklin had his good little spell it looked as though Martinez could go up anther gear or two. I'm not sure where Martinez goes from here, the middleweight division is lacking credible challengers for him. Chavez would be a huge money match, but i can't see Chavez fighting him. Maybe once Alverez takes care of Mosely he could try and fight him at some sort of catchweight, but again i don't think they Golden Boy would match Alverez against Martinez yet.

I would love to see Martinez versus Floyd or Pac. I think Martinez would give Floyd more trouble than Pac would, it would be a really interesting match. Martinez would be to big and strong for Pac i believe. If Martinez does get to fight either of these two, i imagine it would be at a catchweight of some sort,.

  15.

Easy to tell why he's the most respected man in the industry. What a bloke.

brilliant. sharp as a tack is the taker with his replies to the host.

austin saves stephanie, also i think steph looks a bit like the girl from the middle on sky one in this clip, that programme with the little fella called brick in.
