  1. School concerts, harvest festivals and Christmas plays. I get a shiver every time one of the kids bring a letter inviting us to a school show they are putting on. It's usually 2 minutes of pleasure(well, pride might be the better word) while your kids are doing their bit, then an hour and a half of random kids you don't know doing shit singing and dancing.

Anyone seen 63 Up? I've only seen the first ep, but there was some heartbreaking stuff with Nick, the kid who grew up on a farm in Yorkshire.

I downloaded every episode back to the one in '64. It's fascinating stuff seeing how they all developed from kids with daft dreams to the people they are now...

  3. One of my holy grails would be to get the entire run of "Freddy's Nightmares" in a nice sparkling, cleaned up format on DVD or BR. I already have them all on a fan made set I purchased years ago, and while a good few of them look really good for a TV series made and broadcast in the 80's, most of them are VHS rips and look shit...

  4. The long running joke on the Barnsley forum when it comes to transfer rumours is "I've just seen a Merc in the club car park with the registration "M355 1"(or insert random players name in the form of a personalised registration), must be Messi discussing terms!"

It's been going on years and started with the almost yearly rumour we were after Derek Riordon(reg R10 DON)...

  5. Well, it's back to the Championship for the Super Reds this coming season, and back to trying to compete with clubs getting millions in parachute payments/clubs spending millions they don't have while we try and run at break even at least.

It's early days, but I think we're back to hoping that there is 3 worse clubs in the division, while we try and consolidate for a few years...

  6. Never been fussy when it comes to coffee. Always have coffee until about half 11 in the morning and any old shite will do, as long as it has some milk and a sugar in.

Tea on the other had, has to be a cup of Yorkshire Tea, made so it's almost dark orange in colour. Anything else and if feels like the water has only been showed the teabag and tastes like witches piss.

At a football match though, it has to be a cup of overpriced Bovril with a few sachets of black pepper in(and obviously served so hot it would melt a small child if spilt on them...)

  7. Is her mother Sable, or is she from a previous relationship? That's some bad look on the gene front if she is!

I mean, I'm not slagging off the way she looks, as I'm one to talk. I look like a constipated mongoose these days. But if you were a woman and had a choice to look like Sable of Brock fucking Lesner, you would always plump for the former Playboy model, wouldn't you?

    edit:

Sorry, just seen Tilde's post on the last page. Still bad luck to look like that big scary fucker.

Archer in, Willey out  for the World Cup according to the Grauniad. I think Wiley has been unlucky. Its good to have that left arm option like Alan Mullally and I think Mark Wood is shite and so would get a left armer in for him bwfire his bodu falls apart by the 2nd group game.

Hales idiocy has unfortunately allowed yet another James Vince return too. On these flat pitches England have to win the whole shebang. Surely.

England give pace bowler Jofra Archer the nod for World Cup squad

Totally agree that leaving David Willey out is a mistake. I honestly think Archer's express pace and Willey's left arm swingy stuff being bowled in tandem would be a really effective attack!

  9. Wow! I've been aware of some of the allegations that ex employees(or contractors, to use WWE's definition) have thrown at the company, but seeing what this poor woman had to go through in black and white is sickening.

What is the Medicare that she mentioned in the statement? Im I right in assuming it's some sort of charity/scheme for people without health insurance or means to pay the ridiculous medical costs over there?

  10. Just binged watched all the "Mum" series from the start(including the new third series that is all on the iPlayer). I love that show, and have a proper crush on Cathy!

It's one of those shows where you feel you intimately know all the characters, and actually care how their lives play out!

  11. Pugwall's Summer! It used to be on every day during one of the school holidays on Channel 4, didn't it? It's one of those shows that I loved and watched from start to finish, like Saved by the Bell and California Dreams...

  12. I honestly can't believe they included the screw job in a documentary series along side the likes of Brody being murdered etc. To non wrestling fans, it will appear one of the most childish, petty things ever. To them, It'll just appear to be one bloke refusing to follow a script to lose a pretend fight to another bloke, so they changed the script without telling the fist petty bloke.

Obviously, to those of us that love/d wrestling, it was as shocking and intriguing a moment as we would ever witness during our fandom, but to non fans it's just the latest in a long line of things that make them think wrestling is shit play fighting for kids...

  13. I wonder his memories have gone through a "Mandela effect" kind of thing, where he was indeed asked to fill for Savage at short notice, but rather because Savage missed a flight of something like that. He may have told the story so many times over the years with tiny little inaccuracies, that said inaccuracies have mistakes have mounted up and he now believes them as true...

  14. After watching this year women's Rumble, my youngest daughter(who is 6)is now massively into WWE. She is obsessed with the likes of Becky Lynch, Baily, Sasha Bankes and Carmella. I'm obviously over the moon she has finally gotten into one of my life long loves, but I'm getting fed up of watching the same matches over and over.

My questions is, can you please recommend me some good or notable women's matches from the past few years for her to watch. She seems to prefer the gimmick matches like Money in the Bank(seen all the women's MitB matches over and over and over), so anything like that would be good!
