Yeah Dues Ex got great reviews but I thought it was fucking awful and gave up on it. Typical boring and uninspiring setting, characters and world and the gameplay is very dull and unexciting.
Also I gace up on Skyward Sword. I fucking love Zelda games but I've been playing them since I was 7 years old. They need to do something new with the formula and the frustrating Motion Plus isn't it. Plus the graphics are somehow worse than Wind Waker(which I thought was criminally underrated).
Â
Sounds just like Skyrim, i've had to give up on it as it's the typical charmless crap the nerds at Bethesda make but that's for another thread.
Â
I really enjoyed Deus Ex, the story and setting is in part something i'm already interested in being a huge fan of Cyberpunk since the 80's Animes and Bladerunner like films. I also love the whole Humanity Front/Purity First anti-aug politics played throughout it. My only problem is that the stealth wasn't as fun as Splinter Cell, now there's a game a really hope goes back to it's roots a bit more next time round.

Has anyone else been playing Katawa Shoujo?
Â
If not, it's a free "visual novel" or dating sim (kinda) recently released for free on PC which is pretty much just a book with a few selections to make which branch you off into different parts of the story. It sounds dull but the route i took was bloody tough on the old heart strings.
-
Motion controls make the game, it'd be shite and not even work without them.
-
I've been watching the 3rd series of The League of Gentlemen again recently and my god it's brilliant, it's rarely ever spoken about as it loses all the catchphrases from earlier on but it becomes something much better.
-
To be fair i've never paid any attention to BMTH's music or antics so i can't judge, it just comes from how people around me say things about them and they are usually closed minded idiots to anything that isn't <insert trve black metal band here>.
Â
Now festival wise i'd love to goto Roadburn this year, i can't say i've ever seen a line-up as good as this. http://www.roadburn.com/roadburn-2012/lineup/

It's pure elitism from what i've seen from people, "They ain't real METAL!!!!11~" and the sort.

Any fans of Hour of 13 aka one of the best things to happen in the music world?
New song off the new album sounds freaking amazing:
Â
That's some nice doom there, i've found a rather odd Black "Metal" band recently i thought i'd share as it doesn't use any guitars but instead uses a hammered dulcimer in it's place. I'm not 100% sold on the sound, a lot of the album is just trying to be generic BM (the vocals are bland) with an odd instrument but it's decent and i like the whole lefty/green/red scene that's around.

Ten years today since Chuck passed , Death were one of the few Death Metal bands to make such great music within the genre.

FF8 is the best in my eyes, it may have had an emo twat as a lead character but i find the whole magic/battle system to be the best of the lot. Agreed on OOT, it's great but not THAT great.
Â
: Awesome battle music, just a shame it was only used in the dream sequencies. -
Â
They've done the song/s with King Diamond before, pretty awesome.
-
I've just watched Be Sure to Share/Chanto Tsutaeru and it's one of the most touching films i've seen in a long time, a huge departure from the usual "extreme" types that Sion Sono usually releases. It's quiet and touching, very low key but still managing some shock value in the last quarter but even that was beautifully done.

Great call on Golden Axe! That Vampire Killer version sounds like it was done in Mario Paint though, it doesn't come close to the NES version!
Â
Here's some more from me -
Â
Â
Donkey Kong Country 2 - Kong Rescued
Â
Â
Captain America and The Avengers (Megadrive) - Target Town
Â
Â
Most of those Psynosis games on the Amiga had great songs, even Destruction Derby on the PS1 by them has some awesome tunes.
-
15. Motorcycle Man (w/ Bif Byford)
16. The Prince (w/ Sean Harris & Brian Tatler)
17. It's Electric (w/ Sean Harris & Brian Tatler)
18. Helpless (w/ Sean Harris & Brian Tatler)
19. Am I Evil? (w/ Sean Harris & Brian Tatler)
Â
I'd pay just to see these.

War, never been so much fun!
Â
The Amiga soundchip was ahead of the PC by miles at this point.

Â
I love how they just used a midi of Judas Priest (NOT Metallica) for that map, the rest of the soundtrack is all metal songs, too.
Â
Â
-
Streets of Rage 2, nothing from the 16bit era comes close to Yuzo's thumping beats, suited the game perfectly.
Â
*I should have read the thread first.
-
I've noticed them mentioned a couple of times in the past so here is
Still one of the greatest groups in metal/rock today, kinda hoping the rest of the album has kept to the softer vocals.

punk on a morning show in america, last week.
Â
Â
think im a bit gay for the guy
Â
I'm predicting flash floods in the Wpix studio there, for someone who often looks like a greasy crack addict he's a smooth one.

Nice Houchen pic in that vid, I'm honoured! Yeah he is a proper mentalist, he used to launch his attacks on ukff from Cov central library. He is like a cross between John Doe in Seven and a used condom.
Â
I used to see him in there all the time, the cunt got the IP banned on TWCF.

The space suits look very clean and Star Treky
Â
The other suits look like something from Mass Effect.
-
Â
Ksenia Solo is just gorgeous, especially when she's in Lost Girl wearing her cliche teenage goth garb.
-
Non-Metal bands playing at Download isn't anything new is it? Sure i've seen a few when i've checked the band listings in the past, wouldn't be suprised if something like Skrillex is on the card.
-
Was FWA's British Uprising 3 ever released on DVD?
-
Psh, Prince made the superior Black Album (Not even trolling, it's great). If Black Sabbath confirm i'll try to go for that one day though, anything to hear the self titled track played live by the original members.
