Thanks to Netflix i've finally got round to watching Twin Peaks for the first time since i was a kid, way ahead of it's time and i think it would end up doing much better if it came out now on a channel like HBO, It's close to TV perfection.

The Dio thing was a joke to be fair..
-
You're all wrong, Ronnie James Dio IS Metal.
Â
Honestly though, i has to be Metallica even though i personally don't care for the majority of their output (their style of metal generally isn't my cup of tea) but they are the biggest and most well known. Sabbath are a close 2nd though and for me the ultimate big metal band in regards of my musical taste, both Ozzy and Dio eras.

Kill 'em All is horribly over looked it seems, it was a fun ballsy thrash/speed metal album that didn't have as much of the poncing about and technical wizardry of the other pre-Black Albums LP's and personally i think it's all the better for it.

I had that shirt a while back, think it got ripped though if i remember correctly.

dont hate someone because they dont know a black metal band from a village in Norway the size of a postage stamp and a name you need to cut your tongue out to pronounce

I have a t-shirt that says

Sadly, no. I was meant to go but someone bailed on me.

It was apparently on an episode of skins, either way it's one of JB prettier songs.

Elitest metallers are hilarious, they like to rattle off a list of bands they assume you'll not have heard off. It's fun showing the cocky bastards up.

Been thinking about picking up a 2nd hand Dreamcast and PS2 for my new house.
Â
Anyone use either of them on new HDTVs? I'm not expecting it to look fantastic but I just wondered if it's worth it or not? Will it be offputting?
Â
If you can somehow set up the Dreamcast through a VGA box to the TV then it'll look pretty good in 480p, there is also an awkward way to play it upscaled to 1080p.

Gamera is the don, you should check out the reboot from the late 90's as they are my all time fav Monster Movies. There is a huge 3D IMAX reboot out this year which i would just love to see but i imagine it'll be Japan only.

Classic French synth/coldwave that went unheard for years, it's now one of the classics of the genre.
-
I've considered watching Dogtooth on Netflix, but from the description of it on there, it seems like it might be too wanky. Definitely worth it?
Â
It's worth a watch, didn't blow me away but i'm sure glad i caught it.

Â
Cheers for that, their last album was some amazing prog rock.
-
Speaking of Peel Sessions, arguably the best Shoegaze/Alt Rock band of all time.

JUSTICE FOR THE UNBORN~
Â
I'm trying not to crack up listening to this.

Sasha might not be able to act too well but i've actually enjoyed some of the music she's made, it's never going to get noticed in the mainstream though because it's more Throbbing Gristle than Lady Gaga. The lucky bint got to work with David Tibet as well, she seems like a genuinely cool lass.

The John Talabot and new Grimes albums are both very good. In fact I'd say Grimes is the best album I've heard in 2012 thus far. I might have to go and see her in Manchester in May
Â
I'm tempted to see her myself in Bristol, i have another amazing female artist to see on the 30th of this month called "Grouper".
-
I actually prefer 'Loner' off the new Burial EP. Either way, it's the best release of the year by far. it's been a poor start to the year overall musically, no classic album (you could make a case for Alcest but for me it's merely good).
Â
I'm a little out the loop on the house and techno front at the minute though so I daresay once I catch up on that there'll be some gems, I did enjoy the new Todd Terje EP, and I think the John Talabot album will be perfect for the summer when I get to know it a bit more.
Â
Alcest's new album is still a million miles away from Souvenirs', it just doesn't grip you like that did back in 07. I'd say Les Discrets put out the better album again if i'm honest.
Â
is the song of the day though, sweet poppy synths with the most adorable young lady, i'd so marry her. -

Going through a huge Nick Cave marathon since last night.

Sun Ra is the don.
Â
This isn't a single song but... Dubstep Warz set from 2006, nothing like the type of dubstep the kids listen to only 6 years later.

Is it only me that looked up this new Avengers film only to find out it's about some fucking comic book instead of Steed & Co and is now a bit gutted?
Â
Remember what happened the last time they made a film adaption? You don't want a repeat of that do you?

An anomaly for the Black Metal fans. There's no corpse paint or grimness, just a father and husband breaking the boundries of a stale genre by doing his own thing away from the rest of it with a little help from some bluegrass and a love for Kentucky and it's history.
