Troma isn't really my cup of tea but i'm going to give a few a go, any recommendations?

This album is a bit special, superb collab.

To be fair Bulletstorm is one of the VERY few modern console style shooters i've played so i don't have that many games to judge it against, it just felt a little different to the ones i have played. I have to agree with that image though, seen it before and it's sad to see how a lot of mainstream gaming has become and not just the FPS genre. I was about to say at least we still have smaller devs making amazing open world, complex shooters like STALKER but they've lost the licence or disbanded or something along those lines.

Gameplay wise i wouldn't say that Bulletstorm was like Space Marine at all, once you start picking up new weapons and the leash it becomes a shooter a step above 90% of the brown clones. Maybe it's just because i didn't look so deeply into the game, i saw it as a fun rollercoaster ride and went along with it.

Can't wait.

 

Can you get Vice City on PS3 or is it just PS2?

Isn't PS3 backwards compatible, thus PS2 games will work on it?

Only old PS3's are backward compatible, they ripped that out of later models to save money.

I got Demon's Souls for my PS3 yesterday, and the game is such a cunt.

If you die, you start the level again, with half health.

 

If you die repeatedly, the game gets even harder.

 

I managed to beat the first level boss, after meeting a dragon and running the fuck away from it.

It only gets harder if you are dying in human form, play the game offline and only in soul form till you get the hang of it. When you die it won't get harder and killing bosses makes the game easier.

Also, if you're finding it too hard still then restart as a Royalty, they have a wand, MP regen and spell that makes everything that bit easier.

There is also a certain order you should be doing the levels in but the game doesn't tell you that and lets you find out for yourself. Yeah, the game is a total cunt but still much easier than something like Shadow of the Beast 2.

Just got Counter Strike: Global Offensive today...perfect example of a PC game that should never go to console...very sluggish gameplay even with sensitivity turned up, glitches everywhere too...gutted I spent the points to get it, think I'll stick to GRFS til new Rainbow Six drops

It's a game from 1999, Valve have kept it close to the original vision with only a few visual tweaks and extra weapons etc. It's really not meant for the modern console gamer but personally i think it's great, it's simple, doesn't hold your hand and thankfully won't be full of 12 year old Americans as they can't play it without all the bells and whistles of CoD and BF3.

Also, a shoutout to The Walking Dead Episode 2, i've just finished it and have to say that the writing is brilliant and a whole world above the tripe that was Heavy Rain (i don't understand the praise that game gets, it's written like cheap no mark directed b film with the most unlikeable, wooden characters ever).

Thanks for that, i would probably read more comics if it didn't cost so much, the last series i really collected was the Street Fighter, SF 2 and Turbo ect by Udon. Udon have built a great story upon the groundwork already laid down by Capcom and the artwork is superb.

A little help needed from you comic fans, i got into the Quicksilver character a while back through Son of M and was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of more comics/arcs etc where he is a major player. I know he had his own named comic which i'm going to grab if i can but anything else that comes to mind?

I'm not a big fan of Devin or anything but every once in a while he seems to make an outstanding odd track or two, on the whole he's boring to me though and probably gets most of the love from being a bit of a curio. Still better than Fear Factory (only just) in my mind though, they have always been a bit meh with a couple of decent catchy tunes.

Malevolent Creation are touring here later this month, solid old school US Death Metal, Ten Commandments was one of the finest DM albums from the early 90's.

Temped to go see Devin, not a huge FF fan but i'd like to hear some of the classics for nostalgia reasons.
