Saw on twitter wrestle midland has had some issues, any details?

Ok i am not one for posting about business side of things. However on Friday afternoon i was called by the UK home office regarding Mr Steve Corino been apart of the Wrestle Midlands show as i had been reported that Mr Corino did not have a work visa, i was asked a number a questions during the telephone conversation.

 

They have however refused to let Mr Corino enter the country as i (stupidly) not request a work visa, and i could not apply for a emergency one within the time frame.

 

However i explained this to Mr Corino and sadly could not come to a agreement on changing details to get him over for longer in 2013 and work more shows, i have spoken to a number of promotions who have all agreed to put Steve on there shows in 2013.

 

Since then i have Mr Corino claiming i have either made this up or im lying, I will have written documents i will prove to Mr Corino as soon as humanly possible and if need be to the public. He is now demanding all his fee's from me for this error for ALL of the shows his was due on.

 

I would like to make a HUGE public and humble sorry to IPW:UK & PWL who i feel i have let all the fans of these promotions down as well as my own.

 

Also to Mr Corino for any confussion and loss to him, I am sorry and i wish things would have turned out better in this sitution and mistakes have been made and I for one will learn from.

I really don't understand how the same stupid mistake can be repeated so many times by so many promotions/promoters.

As im a bit thick but thank's illiterate the nicest word i've been called in the last few days.

 

Anyway on to matters that i can really care about is WE still have a show on THIS FRIDAY! without Mr Corino.

 

So all i can say is i promise the whole show will be off the wall.

But do you have the Flight Confirmation numbers? Thats all people need to believe your story. Its not hard. If you had booked the flight you would have the numbers that Corino is asking for. Simple.

Got to say that all this madness could easily be avoided with proof of purchase of the Airline ticket and the representing ticket number.

 

If you cant supply that then your going to get this sort of shitstorm thrown in your general direction which does the promotion no favours at all.

I believe Corino 100% here. When it comes down to "reliable veteran wrestler who has made countless trips to the UK in the last decade" or "random UK promoter, who would probably be guilty of this like hundreds before him" I'm believing the former. Whether its plain old incompetents or the promoter got in so deep he was lying to cover up other lies, it seems like Corino has been done wrong. Reading his post on his website, at least Corino is open minded enough not to look at this as a black eye on the British wrestling industry and takes it as some clown who isn't qualified to be dealing with this sort of thing.

Here is the easy way to look at it.

 

Promoter is responsible for Flight / Visa. Wrestler doesn't get either, and is rightfully pissed.

 

The Wrestler is right to be annoyed at not having either.

 

If the visa was the issue, he would be just pissed at the fact he doesn't have a visa right? He wouldn't make up being pissed at not having a flight insted.

 

Working with the UK Boarder Agency, they would only stop him when he arrives at Immigration at the UK Airport, and not before. That's a fact.

 

And that is not to mention my personal experience with Tom / Lord Graham Thomas and being paid money for an American Flight. (That involves Robbie E, Mark Haskins, Mad Dog Maxx and a visit to somebodies house)

You never seen Adam Bowler? Anyway i'm not getting involved with this situation or jumping on a UKFF bandwagon.

 

All i can say is as someone who wants but can't go to the show i'd have still been going regardless of any American talent anyway.

Ok i have said to Mr Corino i will prove proof and also a letter which i am waiting for from Boarder Control.

 

I'm not arguging with people or asking them to beleive me. However please read the blog again doesn't Mr Corino wish me to lie to UK authroithy's that we need to get our stories straight when i got threatened and fined for non discloser.
