Awards Moderator HarmonicGenerator Posted March 1, 2025 Awards Moderator Posted March 1, 2025 The great Frankie Crisp has asked me to take over this bit of the awards for him. Cast your votes, discuss your picks. Voting will be open until probably Monday 10th.
Paid Members Lion_of_the_Midlands Posted March 1, 2025 Paid Members Posted March 1, 2025 I don't know how The Death Riders got nominated as a letdown as the component parts were never going to have anything to amount to, but I suppose there is no inevitable shitehawkery award. Look at the pieces of the puzzle. Moxley - An awful wrestler who has the same amount of convincing toughness as a warm blancmange Claudio- A vanilla giant Yuta - Hangs around like a spare prick at a wedding and about as welcome as one. Pac - Disappears more often than Debbie McGhee in the 1980s. A man who can't find long trousers can never be menacing. Marina - Another in a long line of shite wives who have got/had AEW jobs for some reason. Needless to say, I didn't vote for them.
Paid Members BomberPat Posted March 5, 2025 Paid Members Posted March 5, 2025 has to be the Death Riders. An insane angle to start off, retiring Danielson, and then nothing to live up to it - they just couldn't keep up that level of danger or transgression, and haven't found the right babyface to make it work. There was a time when Mercedes Mone would have won this for me, but she's fallen into an odd pattern of being fast-forward material on TV and must-watch on PPV, so she's far from a lost cause.
