Why has the UKFF turned to the dark side?

It appears to be time dependent. Currently, at 0430. Ukff is in dark mode and the other site Tamiya Club is not. I'm guessing both sites are in different time zones. I'm using the Brave browser. Turning its Night mode on/ off doesn't seem to make a difference.
