Whoops, this is a little on the late side this week. That's down to a combination of the knock-on effects of extended opening hours for Christmas shopping and Photobucket telling me it had twice failed to upload the table, when in fact it hadn't. The average score was fairly high at 8.79 points this time out, but that again only provided a bit of movement around the middle of the standings.

Vegeta got his D2D wrong as the visitors (in almost certainly their final trip to The Boleyn Ground) couldn't quite make the breakthrough against the injury-hit Hammers, despite having the best chances – even if they didn't create the most. Of the other 18 participants in this round, fully 16 rightly disagreed to claim their bonuses, although many incorrectly bet on a home win and got no further points from the result.

The exceptions were Briefcase and third-placed TildeGuy, who both nevertheless score one more than worst performer SNRN10 on 5 points. Zebra Kid Mark was the second best scorer and has now closed the gap on Prince Nana to just two points. However, since it looks like the latter is giving up, he should set his sights on TUFCfan in 18th, still a dozen points clear of danger.

At the other end, MVP RULZ keeps on making the case that the rest of us ought to give up and go home for the rest of the season. He's the only player to get 3 exact scores this week, the first person to break the 200 mark in this campaign and is now a whopping 37 points ahead of nearest challenger Bradyisgod22. The only hope for an exciting finish comes from the fact that the chasing pack haven't had their Dare 2 Disagree turns yet.

We've now done 14 of them and only have 6 to go, so the next one won't come for a while, and they'll be more spread out thereafter. All should be finished by Easter.

After that spot of housekeeping, we'll whizz through the matches: victories for PSG and Celtic proved fruitful, but the exact scoreline eluded everyone in the former game; home triumphs for Motherwell and Monaco in the same leagues were only slightly tougher to foresee; harder to guess beforehand were reverses for Man United and Spurs, the latter being a dud outcome; successes for Arsenal, Palace and Watford were more of a mixed bag, but generally good for at least a point.
