Fog Dude
The results went into the opening post last night, with the updated table following in the early hours of the morning (while Raw was on but I was watching results come in from a Canadian provincial election instead). With a mean score on the low side at 7.32 points, there was no outright best performer in this round. Of the quarter who made it into double figures, only ultimo managed 3 exact scorelines. In fact, most of the high scores came among the bottom 7, although that means the gap at the very foot of the standings remains the same, which isn't very exciting. Joint lowest scorer - alongside Two-Face - Vegeta slips to third spot, overtaken by TildeGuy who nonetheless remains 18 points behind leader SNRN10. There was some movement immediately below them too, but alas I sense it's too late for a title challenge for the rest of the pack. Many participants actually had their blushes saved by the Monday night match, with a point or three sparing many from an even lower-scoring week. Also fruitful for at least one-pointers were the five-goal thriller at the Villa, City's victory at White Hart Lane (even Spurs fans saw it coming!), Swansea's defeat of Stoke in a mid-table clash and Napoli's comfortable triumph over AC Milan. Burnley's narrow surrender of their status at fellow Claret and Blues* West Ham proved useful too. Score draws in both the Scottish fixtures were tougher to foresee, whilst Saints' reverse at the Stadium of Light caught most players out. Over in Rotterdam Zwolle, having beaten Ajax in the final last season, failed to retain the KNVB-Beker against less glamorous opponents from Groningen, which understandably produced a mixed bag of guesses. New set of 10 coming up very soon... * easy to get Claret and Blue teams mixed up, isn't it?
