You're doing your best to make that moniker stick, I see. Unfortunately for you, it's not possible to transfer any of your 100+ points from the Royal Rumble lottery to this competition. Even more unlucky is that you've picked the wrong German game. You're too late for the D2D, but you are (or were) in time to bet on Werder v Hertha!

The results went into the original post on Sunday evening, and the updated table followed in being uploaded yesterday. In a high-scoring round, former champ hbk4life moved further clear of the bottom 5 by virtue of being the best performer this time out, whilst Seph allowed the gap at the very end to be extended to double figures since, as pointed out above, he returned to picking late. TildeGuy's margin over SNRN10 is looking slightly healthier too, as it now stands at 3 points rather than only 1.

So, the late Saturday match in Germany turned out to be quite boring after all. Dortmund coped well and escaped Leverkusen with a decent draw, but that wasn't enough to prevent Bradyisgod, like so many before him, from getting the last D2D of the season wrong. Of the other 18 participants who bet in time, 16 disagreed with him to claim their bonuses, although many incorrectly plumped for a home win rather than a stalemate. Elsewhere in the Vaterland, a narrow home win for Schalke and a slightly more comfortable one for Bremen both proved a tad more fruitful.

Closer to home, Celtic's expected victory in the first Old Firm derby in years was useful for most people, but Dundee United preventing Aberdeen from reaching a second successive in the previous day's New Firm clash ended up tougher to foresee. South of the border, Everton's much-needed triumph on the road at Selhurst Park caught out many, whilst the ease with which Spurs brushed aside the Baggies was also hard to guess beforehand. Both the Pardew and Pulis new manager magic failed to materialise on this occasion, clearly.

Reverses on unfamiliar turf for struggling Burnley and QPR yielded a lot more points - the latter meeting quite possibly being Harry Redknapp's last ever game as a manager. A tame score draw at Stamford Bridge between the top two actually merits the least, as well as the last, comment. All right, that's your lot for the moment. As per usual, a new card coming up in a few minutes...
