I live in Newcastle and if i fancy a cheap europe long weekend, its far easier and cheaper to fly directlt to and from Newcastle. Slightly limited with where to go, but Barcelona is usually the best and cheapest place to go. There is always LOADS of offers on the net for Barca and generally good for last min flights too. kev2050 Posted July 8, 2012 Share Posted July 8, 2012 It also depends what cheap is. Coach tours can be ok and good value if you don't mind being on the coach with loads of oaps. I've been on a few with the Mrs, and can do mystery tours, where you don't know where you're going till the last minute, and get bed breakfast and evening meal for 40 quid per person.
