WWE Smackdown - *Spoilers* For 3/16/2012

Here are the spoilers for this week's Smackdown:

The show opened with the Peep Show segment involving Christian and guests John Laurinaitis and Teddy Long. Laurinaitis and David Otunga came out together to great heat. Long got a nice pop.

Christian asked Long and Laurinaitis to convince him which team he should be on. Laurinaitis said he'd give Christian a title shot if Team Laurinaitis wins, so Christian joined his team. Teddy tried to set up Christian in a match, but Johnny stopped it. Instead, they went with Kofi Kingston, now on Team Teddy, facing David Otunga, who wore his sweater vest.

1. Kofi Kingston defeated David Otunga. Otunga worked the match in his regular pants, which split halfway through the match. Funny. Kofi won with Trouble in Paradise.

There was a Daniel Bryan and AJ segment. Bryan said the dress AJ was wearing looked better on the mannequin.

2. A.J. (w/Daniel Bryan) defeated Brie Bella (w/Nikki). No one seems to know which Bella Twin wrestled the match. Does it matter? Bryan won with a rollup.

Chris Jericho vs. Sheamus was announced as the main event.

3. Cody Rhodes defeated The Great Khali. Rhodes cut a promo before the match. He won with the Beautiful Disaster springboard kick.

Randy Orton came out to a big pop and the Orton vs. Kane match was made official for WrestleMania 28.

4. Big Show defeated Drew McIntyre. Show won a squash.

5. Mark Henry defeated Yoshi Tatsu. It's turned into squash city.

Chris Jericho cut a great promo before Sheamus was introduced for the main event.

6. Chris Jericho defeated Sheamus via countout. Daniel Bryan's interference led to Sheamus being counted out.

Looks nothing special to me, other than the main event which I actually wanted to see at Wrestlemania originally.

If D-Bry ran in to win the match for AJ that would be rather funny, but i guess that meant AJ won.

Nice to see Christian back, the rest sounds a bit bland doesn't it? maybe it'll translate better on the show. At least Khali isn't winning matches anymore but he's still on TV :(

Bloody hell SmackDown has lost its momentum the past few months. They had a great product at the end of 2011 and it's going through a shit stage which I can imagine getting worse after Mania.

The Jericho/Punk and Bryan/Sheamus feuds are fucking boring to say the least. Honestly couldn't give less of a fuck about it than I do now.

On a plus note at least Swagger wasn't on SmackDown.

Christian really is the king of underwelming returns isn't he.

He should stop coming back - he looks like a hungry grandad, with his wizened up old raisin face. When he does that "Looking for mah peeps" thing into the crowd, I assume it's because his bifocals are in his car. His matches are pretty good, but somehow he's not believable winning against anyone. He should go to Ring Ka King or something, he'd be ace as a crotchety old shopkeeper gimmick or thereabouts.

I wish Tomko could come back and be with him. They worked well together.

Doubt that would ever happen.

Whats happened with Travis Tomko is he in jail or rehab? I loved the guy.

Didnt he actual get re-hired upon leaving TNA some time ago, only to get fired within the first few hours of him being in the building because he hadnt worked out in a long long time, thus looked like a fat shite?

IIRC last thing i heard he was standing trial for robbing a drug store of some kind.

Christian gets great reactions though, unfortunately (much like Jericho) someone in the WWE apparently doesn't want the fans cheering Christian so they make him a heel. He got one of the biggest pops at the Elimination Chamber PPV only for the cheers to turn to boos when he shook hands with Laurinaitis.

He was a babyface for two and a half years in WWE, winning the ECW title and main eventing PPVs against Alberto Del Rio. All the while, the internet and the dirt sheets were crying saying "turn him heel! He's better as a heel! WWE dont want him to outshine their current heels!" Why do you think WWE dont want him as a face?

Didn't he get caught doing something or other in the bathroom of a Chilis?

Well he left a fucking mess before he left and didn't pay his half of the gas bill. I asked him and everything and he just said "No".
