Paid Members bAzTNM#1 Posted May 4, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted May 4, 2012 Scottish football definitely won't be any different without Rangers because it's fucking rotten anyway. Sitting at Celtic Park tonight and it was the most boring game I've ever been to in my life. It'll be like that until the end of the season. A ton of absolutely dead games. How many weeks have we got of this to go?

Don't normally bother with the Edinburgh derbies but being a cup final it might just have a bit of added spice.
Paid Members bAzTNM#1 Posted May 4, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted May 4, 2012 Will Motherwell be allowed to play their Champions League tie at Fir Park? I'm assuming they won't. Would that be correct?

They were allowed to play Europa League games there were they not? Are rules different for each competition? I'm probably completely wrong. GIB
Â Sasa Papac has announced he'll be leaving at the end of the season - consistently Mr. Reliable and an outstanding servant. He'll certainly leave with my very best wishes. The above picture still makes me smile from ear to ear!

FUM
ABERDEEN FC fans today hit out against the prospect of a Rangers newco being admitted to the SPL. A massive 97% (1,520) in an online poll are against a Rangers newco in the top flight should the Ibrox club go into liquidation and be reformed.  Two thirds (67%) of the 1,558 Aberdeen FC fans polled warned they would boycott all games if Rangers went bust and were allowed straight back into the SPL.  Hope other clubs should feel the same as well. Nobody will boycott anything except the most hardnosed fans and lets face it the majority of SPL fans will love nothing better than giving pelters at our under 12's that we will be fielding next year! David
The media & footballing personalities are quick to tell us that we simply can't exist without Celtic & Rangers in the SPL. What if the Rangers team is so ravaged that they finish outside the top six next season? What then? Sky will be robbed of one of their supposed guaranteed old firm games. Â What if the worst happens and Rangers finish bottom of the league? Can they be relegated? What will Sky or ESPN say about that? Â Personally speaking, I've put my season ticket renewal forms in a drawer for now. If a Rangers NEWCO walks straight back into the SPL I'm finished with SPL football, simple as that. I will be following Banks O Dee Juniors instead. Most the time it's way more entertaining than the SPL!  I believe in sporting integrity, not commercialism! David
Here's a rarity. An SPL club chairman with a set of balls;  John Yorkston, the Dunfermline Athletic chairman, will urge his Scottish Premier League counterparts to stand by the principles of sporting integrity when they are asked to decide on the future of Rangers this week. At Hampden tomorrow, a general meeting of the SPL will reconvene to consider a series of financial fair play proposals, including sanctions for liquidated member clubs that reform as a new company.  Under the proposals, clubs such as Rangers, who will become a newco as part of the takeover planned by Bill Miller, will be deducted ten points for two consecutive seasons, and have their SPL payments reduced by 75 per cent for three successive campaigns.  Yorkston does not believe that an SPL share should be transferred to a newco in the first place. He insists that, despite the economic consequences for the game in this country, Rangers should be relegated to the Scottish Football League.
