Paid Members Egg Shen Posted November 15, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted November 15, 2011 oooh Nedkov/Maldonado will be f'n slugfest! Those guys throw f'n bombs. Â can't wait to see Siyar Bahadurza finally either, that guy was meant to make his Strikeforce debut about 18 months ago but has been held up. He's going to ruffle some feathers in the UFC, he don't pull no punches when talking shit. That's going to be another tremendous fight. Â Great news! Paid Members Egg Shen Posted November 15, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted November 15, 2011 Akiyama vs Shields is set for UFC 144 in Japan. fucking hell, i like that too! Â Bit harsh to have Akiyama coming off a 3 fight losing streak take on a guy who 2 fights ago was the legit. no.2 guy in the world but Akiyama is never a guy to accept the easy road. I'll be rooting for the Sexy one.
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted November 15, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted November 15, 2011 Nah, I never really bought into Aleksander to be honest. He got onto a lot of cards, especially in Japan, simply because of who his brother was. Â I don't agree with that. He might have got his break due to his 'name' but the guy certainly justified his place on that roster.

KingOfMetal
maybe, but we've talked about the Edgar/Benson fight recently, and Yamamoto/Page was supposed to happen earlier this year, but never did. Obviously, anything on wiki is to be taken with a pinch of salt, but I don't see why any of those fights couldnt happen
Paid Members Bus Surfer Posted November 15, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted November 15, 2011 Apparently Shane Carwin is having back surgery and will be out for 6 months. Wasn't he saying like 2 weeks ago that he'd be back pretty soon and knocking people out? Â I Can see Cain taking some time out and them facing off when they both return. Leaves HW pretty thin on the ground though, the UFC could do with guys like Barnett, Cormier, Big Foot and Werdum coming in.

They deffo need to get the Strikeforce guys in their sharpish. I've read that Werdum is likely to be fighting Schaub in December. Once they wrap up the GP I'm sure Barnett and Cormier will be over aswell. Exciting times at heavyweight in 2012. All the matches we thought we wouldn't see will most likely be possible next year with all the notable/name HWs under one roof. Apart from Fedor of course.
