Yeah I like that fight. Hague's mostly remembered for getting KO'd by Todd Duffee in 7 seconds but he's actually decent. He had a wild brawl with Joey Beltran that was a ton of fun last year sometime. I remember thinking he was unlucky on the scorecards that fight.

I reckon he'll be a good test to see where Lashley stands.

Chael Sonnen's not a fan of Alistair Overeem

The guy's built for show, not for go. He's made for a poster, he looks like he's made out of clay. He's not a very good fighter. And as far as the K-1 being this great striking event, the K-1 is a striking only event. If you're in the K-1, you're only allowed to strike. But I've never seen a great striker there. I can discredit the K-1 with two syllables: Bob-Sapp.

love the Bob Sapp line

Titties replacement for the Shark Fights 21 main event vs Bobby Lashley is Tim Hague

Nope, they've denied it:

The same day someone from the company's official Twitter account announced the fight, Shark Fights officials since have denied that their next event will feature a heavyweight headliner between ex-WWE star and Strikeforce vet Bobby Lashley (6-1) and UFC vet Tim Hague (13-5).

Shark Fights officials today told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) the fight hasn't been booked.

They also said they "have no idea" who tweeted the news from the company's Twitter account.

"It's not Tim Hague," Shark Fights CEO Bud Brutsman said. "We haven't even signed him."

Man, Brett Rogers' life has gone to shit the last year or so.

Quote from Firas Zahabi. GSP at 155?

"Well to be honest with you, I have recommended to Georges, you know...the only reason I don't recommend it now is because Frankie Edgar is the champion, but I'd want him to move down to 155 if Frankie was not the champion. Obviously we're part of the Renzo Gracie team and we'd never fight Frankie Edgar, because obviously we're all Renzo Gracie fighters. But if it wasn't the case, you know, I'd rather him go down to 155 because Georges is not a very big welterweight. People might think he is, he's actually not very big. And him making 170 is extremely easy for him. Honestly, it's probably one of the easiest weight cuts from all that I coach, and I coach a lot of professional fighters. Georges making 170 is getting a little too easy for him, so I'd recommend to him in the future, who knows what the cards hold, but if we don't have a team member that's champion or anything like that, I would recommend him to go down first before going up. Georges' body type, he's actually ectomorph, he's very lean. He doesn't put on a lot of muscle unless we make do a lot of lifting, and I do make him do a lot of lifting. That's one of the reasons why I wanted him to start doing Olympic lifting, and just a high volume of weightlifting is what will keep him muscular. Because Georges doesn't really put on fat and muscle very easily, and I really think he could lose a little bit of muscle. He doesn't have much fat on him, and a lot of water and a lot of electrolytes. Just doing the weight cut from like 175, he would make it down to 155 quite easily."

I'm convinced GSP vs Anderson is never gonna happen and I honestly think it's down to GSP's side, maybe not him so much but the guys managing him for sure seem like they don't want it. Whenever Anderson's asked about the fight he seems up for it, when GSP is asked it's 'well...urr....a lot of things have to happen....I need to put on more muscle and then maybe we can make the fight'. He's been saying that since 2009 and he looks huge at 170 his last few fights yet he still doesn't seem into it.

They talk about him not wanting to fight his friends, well there's a lot more of his friends/training partners at 155 than there is at 185. At 155 there's Edgar, Guida, Guillard, Cerrone and even Ross Pearson trains with him sometimes now. All these guys have links with Jackson's, Tristar or Renzo so none of them fights are likely to happen. Doesn't leave a whole lot of interesting fights to be made. I can't think of any of his mates/team members at 185 so that wouldn't be a problem there.

speaking of Duffee, i just saw him in Never Back Down 2, the guy certainly looks the part but delivering his lines seemed a painful experience for him. The movies the latest in the boom of MMA related films. The movie isnt completely terrible but kinda gets stuck between wanting to be a serious martial arts film and wanting to be a film to appeal to horny chicks. Lots of shameless MMA namedropping in the movie too....and why-o-why does every fight setting in these movies have to be in some kind of underground cage fighting arena? The sport has tried so hard to rid that image from itself yet these movies keep getting churned out - starring the fighters trying so hard to legitamise the sport - it's fucking stupid.

Yeah I never watch them MMA movies for them very reasons. They are so feckin cringeworthly cheesey, I can't be doing with 'em.

Just seen this on Fighters Only's site. There's beginning to be some indication that a Fabricio Werdum vs Brendan Schaub fight could be in the works

A fight between Fabricio Werdum and Brendan Schaub seems all but inevitable in the near future.

Werdum is widely believed to have negotiated, or be negotiating, his return to the UFC after a run in Strikeforce, which was acquired earlier this year by Zuffa. Schaub has already started calling him out.

It began with an interview Schaub gave to promote the latest version of the UFC Undisputed video game. He told ESPN that after facing Mirko CroCop Filipovic and Rodrigo Nogueira recently, he wanted another fighter of similar calibre.

UFC Undisputed 3 Welterweights are....

Carlos Condit

Chris Lytle

Dan Hardy

Diego Sanchez

Dong Hyun Kim

Georges St Pierre

Jake Shields

Jon Fitch

Josh Koscheck

Martin Kampmann

Matt Serra

Matt Hughes

Mike Swick

Nate Diaz

Paulo Thiago

Thiago Alves

Nick Diaz (Pre-order exclusive)

Absolute bollocks that guys like Rory MacDonald and Jake Ellenberger are missing. Balls. I'm happy with who is there but them 2 should have been in for sure, there's no excuse. I'd rather them 2 than Swick and Serra who haven't fought in fucking ages.

They're gonna have to get them 2 on as DLC surely.

That's it now for the roster. All they've got to reveal now is the Pride fighters which will mainly be Pride versions of guys like Wanderlei, Rampage, Cro Cop etc although I've also seen guys like Coleman and Herring in vids with their Pride look with the wrestling shoes.

Caesar Gracie has said in a interview that he is going to petition the UFC to put Nick Diaz in a title fight before Conduit when GSP comes back when Diaz wins against BJ Penn.

Not quite, he said if Diaz wins impressively then he'd try and campaign for him to get the next title shot - but that he fully expects Condit to get the shot.

A non-story really.

For those going to BAMMA 8 at Nottingham in December, Randy Couture will be in attendance and is going to be doing a book signing (his new autobiography follow-up, 'The Last Round') at the Capital FM Arena prior to the show.

The book will be available to purchase on the day at the Arena.
