2010 UFC was great but I'd say UFC's 2011' is even better. With you bringing up 2011, here's my awards for the year so far:Fighter of the Year: Jon Jones. Runner up is Anderson Silva.Fight of the Year: Frankie Edgar vs. Gray Maynard, UFC 125: Resolution. Runner up would be Nick Diaz vs. Paul Daley at Strikeforce: Diaz vs. Daley.Knockout of the Year: Anderson Silva on Vitor Belfort at UFC 126: Silva vs. Belfort. Runner up would be Sam Stout brutal one punch KO on Yves Edwards at UFC 131: dos Santos vs. Carwin.Submission of the Year: Jung-Chang Sung

if Jones beats Machida, it'll be without doubt one of the most impressive years by an MMA fighter ever. I think in recent months due to the general shift in people feelings for Jones, people may have just forgotten just how special the guy is. Incredible year.

For sure. I certainly wouldn't argue against Jones being fighter of 2011. I do think Anderson can claim that title aswell though, he's made a highlight reel of Vitor Belfort and the first man to legit KO him, plus he wiped out Okami and made it look a piece of piss.Thinking about it though, Jones probably has had the better year. Plus he'll have fought twice as much as Anderson by the end of the year. The thing is, Jones is still so fucking young and is still working to improve all the time. He's only gonna get better which must be a worrying prospect for anyone at 205. And he's not just beating them he's dominating them in embarrassing fashion to the point where a rematch will be difficult to sell. If he keeps running through people (and let's be honest there's really only Rashad, Machida and Hendo who stand out that can challenge him at the moment) I can see him moving up to heavyweight in the next 2 years tops because people will be clamouring to see him fight Cain or JDS much like people wanna see Anderson vs GSP now.

I cant see Jones being a major threat in the heavyweight division until he get to the jaw tested its going to be a unknown factor, a shot from Cain or JDS or Overeem and game over for anyone plus the reach factor wont be a major factor in the heavyweight division.

Why did people turn on Jones in the first place? Is it the way he comes across outside of the octagon? I was surprised at the amount of people on here wanting to see him drop the belt to Rampage last month. Maybe that was just down to Rampage being a huge fan favourite and all round MMA legend? I for one love Jones and will continue to be a fan of his.Hate the fact that I'm working the weekend of UFC 140 though :/

I meant that if his dominance at 205 keeps up for a while then people will want to see him tested by the bigger guys at HW. It's the same deal with people wanting to see Anderson go to 205, GSP to 185 and Aldo to 155. If a guy makes it look to easy at his weight people will naturally wanna see them move up and take on the bigger guys. Not saying Jones would dominate at HW, we don't even know if he can continue it at 205 yet but a move to HW and a superfight with Cain or whoever is something that I'm guessing will be talked about more and more with each title defense he makes.

I think there's a feeling that he's got cocky and he's believing his own hype too much. I do think there's a bit of truth to that but who gives a shit? He's awesome to watch.

Jon Jones thinks Rashad is ducking him

"Well, Dana White basically needed someone to save 140. I didn't necessarily want to fight at 140, but because it was Rashad, I said, You know what? I would take the fight in nine weeks. I'm already in shape. I already know what I want to do. Rashad, predicting that I would say no, he kind of kicked himself in the butt because I said yes, he turns around and says, Oh, I didn't expect Jon to say yes. I don't want to fight him that soon. So in reality, he's kind of the one who's ducking the fight. I feel like he's ducking the fight. ... He's tried to call me out on nine weeks notice. Obviously, who wants to fight on nine weeks notice? I just got a new car, I want to drive that around. I want to hang out with my family and relax and sleep in my own bed for once. And now Rashad calls me out, predicting that I would say no, to make me look like I was ducking him again, and I say yes, and now he says, Oh, I didn't know he would say yes. I don't want to fight him. He called Dana White, asked for 140, Dana White called me and said Rashad wants this fight. I gave him the fight he wanted and then he pulled out."

When this fight finally happens it's gonna be huge. All this back and forth trash talk and delays is just making it a bigger fight in the long run.

Dan Hardy isn't the only Rough House fighter that's been to train with GSP. Paul Daley and Andre Winner will be training with him aswell.Daley's training for a fight in Canada vs Luigi Fioravanti and is gonna be finishing his camp with GSP and the Tristar gym. Good move. Can't be bad for GSP to train with some dangerous strikers either heading into the Condit fight.Saw this aswell, someone asked Dan Hardy on twitter if he'd ever trained with GSP before, Hardy's answer was this

Just a 25 minute grappling lesson if that counts? :-)
